The best restaurants serving Default food in Central Peterborough East of England

We recently attended a private occasion here. On previous occasions when we have attended “do”s we have been able to park free, but the hotel is under new management and everyone using the car park has to pay. £5 for the evening….yes £5!!! It would have been cheaper to park in the station car park. Attendees were asked to make their menu choices a week in advance, fair enough. The food… the pigs cheek terrine consisted of slices of flavour-free meat in jelly, a huge amount of jelly, accompanied by pickled mushrooms and dry toasted brioche. Two mouthfuls was more than enough. You may ask why I had a second mouthful if the first was so bad - I was making sure that it really was that dreadful. Next, roast beef and Yorkshire pudding with vegetables. The beef looked promising, but was actually very chewy and lacking in flavour. The Yorkshire puddings were thick and solid and the vegetables undercooked, not just al-dente. Someone else on my table remarked that the gravy was the best part of it. However, the vegetarians had the worst experience - the kitchen had, wait for it……FORGOTTEN TO COOK their option! Yes, really! So we had a long wait while they found the poor unfortunate vegetarians something to eat. By the look on the face of our companion it wasn’t worth the wait. Desert was probably the least awful part of my meal, cold chocolate brownie and ice cream (half a scoop) on a very hot plate. Perhaps that was meant to warm the brownie up? Someone on our table had ordered cheese and gluten free biscuits. They were given cheese, nothing else, just cheese. There were some other oversights, for example inadequate cutlery laid. I would have thought that “new management” would be working hard to make a good impression, but I certainly cannot recommend this place on any level

please do not visit this shop. It’s the most disgusting shop. They sell expire food and drinks. Please do not visit it. Never visit this place again 🤮🤮🤮🤮🤢🤢🤢🤢🤢

We would give this restaurant 10 out of 5 if we could. Never had Lithuanian food before & decided to book in for our pre Theatre meal. The young lady behind the bar was so friendly & helpful. The food was amazing. We had tempura onion & Calamari rings to start with 2 dips. Piping hot & beautiful. I had chicken breast with pesto for main, my partner had the Pork joint with baked cheese mashed potato, with shredded pickled sweet cabbage. Again all piping hot & delicious. Can't recommend this restaurant enough. Fabulous . Thank you all staff & the chef.

A really well managed facility in the current pandemic with a lovely product to offer. We would be happy to use again.

I've been ordering from this place for nearly a year. In the last two orders the food was disgusting. I'm not sure if they changed the chef or not but the food there used to be delicious. In the last order I made I ordered a Shizuan sauce beef with Egg fried rice and the side chicken balls. Where to begin. The rice was black it was overcooked. The Shizuan beef was basically few pieces of undercooked meat with a tone of bamboo and you could barely see the sauce and the chicken balls,they were not ball, I'd guess they were nuggets(?) and they were not cooked properly. I don't know what went so terribly wrong in this order. I really hope they didn't change their chef cause the food used to be delicious and now it seriously sucks. And it took over an hour to arrive.

Disgusting strong onion taste beef chow mein...Bad stomach and 2 hours later still taste onions in my mouth...

La salsa peri tamer siempre es realmente difícil de conseguir de Nandos por alguna razón, me encanta como salsa para mojar y normalmente la consigo cuando voy a Huntingdon o Cambridge. Pero viniendo a esta tienda de Peterborough se negaron a darme salsa y dijeron que tenía que ser cocinada. Entonces, ¿por qué me lo han servido una y otra vez?

Just ordered from AJS CHICKEN AND PIZZA PAID FOR A PIZZA AND GOT EXTRA FOOD ON THE HOUSE! UNEXPECTED!. FREE CHICKEN ON THE HOUSE 10/10!! WILL DEFINITELY BE ORDERING FROM HERE AGAIN!!!! ♥️

My takeaway food took nearly 2 hours to delivery. The curry was horrible and i asked them to come and pick up I paid cash and now they wont give me my money back. He told me someone would come and collect. After I phone they said the boss wasn't available phone again he said my money would go back into my account I said you havnt got my number I paid you in cash I want cash back he put the phone down

El pollo es tan delicioso y El personal es muy amable y educado y servicial sin duda lo recomiendo. Como aquí cada vez que vengo a la ciudad con mi niñera

Iba a desayunar aquí. La comida era muy promedio, pero se sirve rápidamente. Como anteriormente el cocinero no tiene ni idea de cómo hacer un buen huevo frito. Es cierto que yo también, pero no es mi trabajo. El ambiente es bastante desagradable con algunos reflejos hostiles de otros clientes sin razón aparente y una mezcla de tipos alborotados sin dientes. La empleada vestida de negro con el pelo castaño corto (posiblemente una limpiadora/coleccionista de vidrio) se presumió por el pub gritando ‘¡Nunca he visto a alguien que necesite salir del armario más que él!’ ¡a su colega detrás de la barra! Realmente no puedo recomendar
