I was the only family member to choose to eat from Chopstix Noodle Bar at Corley M6 services (southbound) on Saturday evening approx 7pm. I hadn’t eaten all day and chose spring rolls and BBQ chicken with noodles. £9.79. The temperature of the food wasn’t very hot just warm but I was very hungry and ate non the less. Sadly within 3 hours I was so ill vomiting and diarrhoea all through the night. I have never had a problem eating this kind of food before. I have tried for 5 days now via all media to contact the head office and no reply from the various departments I have tried. Also the phone rings out and no response from X or Facebook messages either. They make it impossible to contact. I was so ill I had to miss work the following day and the least I want from this company is an apology, a full refund and the promise they will feed this back to the managers at the Corley outlet to prevent anyone else getting food poisoning like me.

When I went here, immediatly the tantalizing aroma of the noodle bar hit my nostrils. Great first impression. The place looked very colourful and simple, it wasnt very big, but at the time there weren't many people there so we were fine. About the food: the noodles i had ordered were suprisingly bland and not very flavourful. However, the chicken was making me feel enlightened. I had never been so joyous over a piece of chicken. For £6, the small box was decently big. But if you ask me, the price was a little high for the quality of the food.

I went here on a Monday evening, it was early-mid evening time and you could tell that it was a quiet period of the week for them. There was some selection of food, some dishes looked better than others. What I bought was okay, it just felt like it wasn’t as fresh as usual because of how quiet it was. I will return, but will stick to busier days when the food is constantly being refreshed. Friendly service though, no complaints there.

Ordered via justeat the food was disgusting. Such high salt content it'd give an elephant a heart attack. Totally inedible. Hopefully the food in the restaurant is better but I'll not chance it. I'm not a fussy eater by any measure. This is the first time I've ever thrown food away because I just couldn't eat it. 🤮

We had an Impromptu visit to the Peterborough services, while on a break from driving. And decided to buy a meal at Chopstix. Which was served very courteously. The staff engaged very nicely, and were helpful. Only reason for knocking off a star, was the lack of quality of the Diet Coke drink.

First time it was amazing. Getting less toppings .More rice or noodles. No filling in spring rolls. Disappointing.

The worse food I have ever ordered. It took an hour and a half, in the middle of the day. When it arrived, it was freezing cold. I ordered the pork Vermicelli. It had no pork or vegetables! Just a cold container of noodles! No sauce, no napkin or fork. Almost 30 dollars wi h delivery and tip. I called and the lady said that the chef said he made it himself so it was proper! I have never ever written a review in my life l, nor called and complained. So disappointed.

We went in the Peterborough city centre shop and when my wife came to pay showing her Blue Light card this was ignored as the guy serving us was more interested in a brother and sister sitting with their mum and blatantly forgot to take of our discount , Avoid this one if you can!!!

The food’s amazing thay do a family orders. You get a lot off food what you pay for can’t wait to order again. Staff so friendly

Love the vegan pumpkin katsu especially with the vegetables noodles, great to see that an meat alternative is still as tasty as standard meat. Quick service, little queue but understandable after the taste !

The portion size was good, although the box looks small. The food was nice. Staff were really friendly.

The food is on par with what it’s supposed to be, i was eating and found hair in my food, she not seem to really care and replaced my chicken with a small portion, i even had more chicken than you get in the small portion. Her respsonse was “This is how we get it from the factory, we didnt see”

Stopped off for lunch and had the noodles and rice dish with sweet and sour chicken, spring rolls, salt and pepper chicken. The food was fresh and really delicious, customer service was excellent and helped me with what to order. Definitely good value for money and would recommend.

Tasteless gooey mess worst I’ve ever tasted sweet and sour was cold and stuck together again noodle were cold and slimy

I ordered my food through Uber Eats my food never showed up and Uber Eats wouldn't refund me even though there driver stole my food I paid for! After Uber Eats I called Chopstix and spoke to the staff to see if my food was collected they confirmed it was collected but they had a issue with this driver in the passed not delivering the clients food. After speaking to the helpful staff and management, they offered to give me my whole order free the next day as long as I was willing to collect. Which they had no obligation to do so, I must say I have so much grace and respect for the staff for helping me out when a mistake from another company effected me in a horrible way. Food was fresh and hot as always! Thank you all!

Grabbed a takeaway.......Dire food, I'm fairly sure it's just microwave / reheated mass produced franchise muckMaybe they were having a bad day, a very bad day. The noodles were the most tasteless that I have ever experienced. They reminded me of a Pot Noodle, and the last time I ate a Pot Noodle I promised myself I would never lower myself again to that point of self-degradation. I was at school, I tried someone else's. I was young, crazy and foolish.Never again, Chopstix you are offensive to the Chinese cuisine you tenuously mimic, and whilst I'm at it, you too Pot Noodle

Stopped off here for a bite to eat, we love Asian food and this place tasted amazing.I had the veggie noodles with salt and pepper chicken (omg!) other half had noodles with katsu chicken, we both had a drink and they threw in 10 spring rolls for free, it came to around £15 but it was the tastiest food we've had at a services that's for sure.

Rude servers who ignore you while you're in line in favor of the people behind you and when you address it they further ignore you. Food was way below average and they seemed to update out of stock food. Would not recommend.

Just got delivered from Uber Eats, very disappointed noodles dry and where is vegetables?its saying vegetable noodles🤔will never order again and do not recommend.

Had three bites then threw in bin, was utterly disappointed as smell was lovely. The prawns were slimey and felt like you were popping a blister. The noodles were like cardboard and the bbq chicken was just about bearable but still felt nauseous from the previous bites.There were two of us and we both felt the same.Waste of £11.

Absolutely terrible food, no flavour, dry meat and noodles that tasted like straw. Couldn't even finish it was that bad. And for the price it's an absolute rip off.

Recently stopped at Chopstix Peterborough. It was OK but nowhere near as good as previous visits. Noodles and fried rice was very dry and needs the option of additional sauce. Meat/fish.dishes were tasty but not much sauce so all in all didn't go down too easily. Biggest gripe is the significantly smaller boxes the food is served in. Overall was OK but left feeling disappointed. Will try alternatives next time we call at these services.

This is a delight - authentic Chinese food at a motorway services station. Very cheap, the taste is good and the quantity just right. Don't go to the other fast food places!

Do not expect great cuisine, this is functional and inexpensive, the food is tasty if a bit solid, but it hot and the service is quick. There is a good choice for what it is

I allways use Chopstix at several locations but this one is by far the worst, I’m a lover of caramel chicken and salt and pepper chicken with rice! However I had the same as allways although I got maybe 4-5 bits of each chicken if I’m lucky !!! And the rice well was just rediculess think lumps with cold spots reheated and not a very good job so I’ll not be stoping at this one again waste of money disappointing and a let down to the company.

We have eaten here a few times and the experience can vary greatly depending on the time of day and which staff are running it. At it's best it is hot and tasty Chinese type food served with noodles or rice. On a not so good day it can be warm and limp and a bit unappealing.

I enjoyed a portion of vegan friendly Salt & Pepper Potatoes, savoury fried potatoes with mixed vegetables, including chunky bell peppers, with a chilli, salt and pepper mixture. They were a delicious snack and kept me going until I returned home.

Very expensive and very small portions. All options are now crammed with cheap veg to bulk out the very small box it comes in.

Thanks to the allergen information file and the knowledgeable, friendly staff, we enjoyed a couple of tasty vegan options, including spring rolls. Good to have another option in this motorway service station which had other tempting vegan menu items from various food bars.

Will occasionally have a meal at Chopstix when we see an outlet, so when we stopped at the Service Station, this was our choice

Huge queues at McDonald's and KFC (why????) so took a look at the Chopsticks bar. Noodles looked good, so we both had a medium box with noodles - I had Thai Chicken curry and some chicken in barbecue sauce. Surprisingly good - I enjoyed every mouthful. Generous servings, helpful and pleasant lady serving.

Looked nice and the service was fine. One hour after consuming noodles with, Carmel chicken, salt and pepper chicken and sweet chilli prawns I had diarrhoea. This lasted through the night and stomach cramps lasted for three days. I guess it was the prawns as my daughter had the same bar the prawns. Avoid unless you’re after a masochistic weight loss diet.

Upon entering the services on the A1, you are assaulted by the amazing smells and aromas coming from the Chopstix Noodle Bar. Wow they smell amazing don't they? Well don't be fooled, the food is awful, no taste and terrible to say the least. We asked if the food had MSG in it, but the "waiter" didn't know. We sat down and tucked in, bland is a word often used to describe crap food, and it is justified here. It was TERRIBLE, just dont go there, eat at he KFC or McDonalds lol

We ate about 5:30pm it tasted like it was cooked several hours ago and been sitting in the hot display cupboard for several hours. Not much choice on the menu, the food was very bland and the chicken breast were definitely not from fresh chicken.

The noodle bar awaits you literally as soon as you walk through the front door.

its a very small place and unfortunately when we had lunch there were not any choices. I would recommend the caramel sesame chicken but otherwise we did not like anything else. Taste of the other sauces we got were very basic.

Great little stall, food is fresh and filing. The price is a little high for the size of portions but good value for a service station. The salt and pepper chicken is great.

First visit to Chopstix at Peterborough services and I am impressed. Not the usual poor quality motorway services food but freshly cooked Chinese food. Hot and tasty and whilst the prices are high motorway prices the standard of food and service is very good.

Good range of toppings , mainly chicken though, in various sauces on either noodles or rice. around £6.50 for medium box with two toppings, very filling and much better value than a burger.

By being right at the entrance, they have a captive market and managed to catch me - I changed my mind from getting a burger and chips from the most popular restaurant chain in the world to having noodles with spicy chicken x 2. The noodles are gluten and MSG-free, worth noting for the health conscious and this resulted in them being a little tasteless without adding some salt, but the salt choice is then down to you - sensible, I'd say.

Have visited here when driving back into Peterborough on the A605, Service was fast and efficient and the freshly prepared noodles were tasty, A good quick meal

I ordered the salt and pepper chicken and it completely lacked any taste whatsoever. I also had heartburn for a day afterwards which I never usually have - don't know what they are putting in the food but it can't be good for you. AVOID!!

we were looking for a place with Halal food and came across this place by chance.We really enjoyed the food and i will give it five stars, though at the time when we got there is food was low and i couldnt really get what i wanted When we finished they had filled up again, that was the only negative thing i can say , but the food was good, for the money and the portion sizes was also good.

I wasn't expecting to find such a delicious food outlet in the services but I was very very impressed. I had noodles with caramel chicken and it was delicious, as good as many Chinese takeaways that I have had and much better than the majority of food I have ever had at services. This place is now a reason for me to come back to these specific services the next time I'm in the vicinity and looking for a lunch stop.

Staff dont seem to look like they want customers and not alot of choice but still the salt and pepper chicken was superb

We called into the Peterborough Service area on the A1 for a quick meal.We didn't fancy McDonalds or KFC so thought we would give this outlet a try.Prices seemed very reasonable and I love oriental foodHowever, I had to choose noodles as they had sold out of rice.They had also sold out of most of their "Toppings" as there was loads of empty serving dishes. Only four toppings were available.Upon eating the food, my initial reaction was that it was tasty.However, after a couple of mouthfuls, I became aware of a salty taste in my mouth.I triued a bit more but was unable to eat more than half of it because of the overpowering level of saltiness. I drank a whole bottle of water whilst eating to try to take away the taste.When we continued our journey, I had to stop after 30 minutes to buy another bottle of water.PLEASE - reduce the salt and let people add their own if they want more!

Called in here on the way home from London looking for a quick bite didn't fancy the usual kfc, burger king stuff, so me and the wife opted for the noodle bar. Rapid service was followed by great tasting noodles and salt & pepper chicken at a great price! Portion size was good more than enough to fill a hole!

If you are like me, not too bothered about fine dinning and calories intake, but prefer a cheap and large-sized portion meal, then you should visit this place.I come here at least once a week and the food quality&flavour is always consistent. I personally recommend the caramel chicken and the fire cracker chicken with rice, simply because the rest of the chickens are drenched in sauces, which mean the rice&noodle at the bottom will be soggy when you eat it.

We arrived at 9.30 , both hungry, my wife went to KFC and I chose the Noodle bar. The food offered was appalling and the person was filling fridges.There was a choice of nothing at that time of the evening, no rice but noodles and no choice from the menu.The next morning the food bar was wonderfully presented.My experience left me very ill on the loo next day. Heat lamp food is no no.Don't rip of the public with dreg food. Awful.

There's only choices of chicken, cooked with various spices and sauces, accompanied by either rice or noodles.Three portion sizes of small, medium and large, we chose the medium. Sezuan and another cooked in a sweet batter.Portion size was spot on, in fact we couldn't finish all of the rice at the bottom of the box.Cutlery, was a plastic spoon and unfortunately, both chicken dishes had been overlooked so much, the fork was unable to penetrate the pieces and scooping them up was the only way to eat them.Cold drinks, spring rolls etc. could be bought at extra cost.Although we came out full, we both commented on how tough the meat had been and I'm afraid will not be trying it again.It did seem a popular place for people who popped in for take-a-ways and as its only a small venue, was almost full of people eating.

I see that reviews of the Chopstix franchises elsewhere in the UK are very mixed but as a regular at the Peterborough set-up I cannot fault this one. Yes, the young lady behind the counter is, from the sound of her accent, from somewhere in Eastern Europe but she is smiling and friendly and I always get a 'hello' and also an 'enjoy' as I collect my food. It is both eat in and takeaway, a small cafeteria-type setup yards from Cathedral Square in the middle of town with half a dozen tables and room for around 20 visitors. The food is always good, the place is spotless, as also is the unisex toilet, and a sticker in the window gives a food hygiene rating of 5 out of 5. I rest my case.

The only fault I can give the Noodle Bar is that the noodles are very dry and not enough vegetables like spring onion for taste as it can be very tasteless. But I found the assistant friendly and helpful. Place is clean. Yes. Just need to create a better taste and sauce for the noodles. Restaurant is very small..more of a take-away.

Stopped in the services, as you do, thinking of buying a sandwich . Discovered Chopstix and decided to give it a punt. Glad I did. My brother had the egg fried rice and chicken curry, I had the noodles and mushroom curry. We both had a spring roll. The rice , noodles and curries were top notch . The spring rolls were a little dry to be honest but in the circumstances perfectly acceptable. From now on I will be looking out for these places.

Great to find real food at a relatively low price in the otherwise soulless environment of a service station. I had the "small" rice and Thai Chicken curry for a fiver and it was instant service, hot very tasty, and a perfect size portion. Much quicker and cheaper than the burger bars and chicken places. Can of Pepsi for a quid was also cheaper than from the adjacent shops. Not high class dining but quick and delicious.

HiI would like to make a quick review about chopstix noodle bar It was a pleasent day sunny weather clear sky .Me and my friend jst finished our work at around 5.30 and we were heading towards town for a nice meal as we were hungry after work so we took a chance to try chopstick as we had never tried it before so we ordered for two med boxes and had 2 flavours in each box with noodles one was sweet n sour and the other was chicken in oyster sauce i guess and a lady had served me. When I ate half of the box my stomach started painning and my friend had ate it too we both had a really bad stomach after that box. And we decided not to finish it as it was abit dry n tastless I wouldn't recommend it to anyone as a guest i would like to inform chopstix noodle bar petrrborough not the serve the leftover food as being the last customer of the day doesnt mean u serve whats left before u shut down at 6 . Would never return back has i had the worst food experience with bad tummy pains + would like to hear back from you about the bad experience we had thankyou

Two colleagues and I visited Peterborough Services on the way back to County Durham from Harwich and decided to give Chopstix a go. We were pleasantly surprised, this place is good value for money and makes a change from the fast food places surrounding it! Not massively keen on the spring rolls though..

i ordered a large box of vegetable rice with orange chicken & spring rolls for under £6 which is vary good value for my money!

After travelling on the Motorway for quite a while, stopping here was welcomed with open arms, and food with wider arms still ;)The food was very nice and was hot and fast. If I'm ever in the area again, I'd definitely come here again.

my son and I had lunch in there on a Saturday instead of going to McDonald's as we fancied a change. The place looked clean including the tables. There isn't a massive choice but it was sufficient. It was plentiful, hot and tasty and at a good price and we will definately go again.

Great service from a lady, she's always happy to help us with the 'hotness' of the dishes! We get the large so we can chose 3 toppings and you get large portions of each.You will for sure be full without even fully finishing your box!!! The food is delicious!!!!!! Small seating area but if you aren't looking for the restaurant type experience it's great! You can even take away your box and eat in the sunshine !! Highly recommend , love it there

Very happy with the food and service. Considering I paid £5 for a box I got a very healthy portion of noodles and toppings, which tasted great as well. Something new to try if you're not feeling another burger!

A couple of weeks ago my friend and I decided to stop off at Peterborough services for something to eat and a stretch of legs after travelling down from Scotland . We saw on the services board there was a chopstix and we had never tried one before and were quite looking forward to having some noodles rather than burgers or fried chicken.Well we walked up to the Chopstix counter to be greeted by an eastern European girl which we presumed was Polish . She had a face like a slapped bottom ,was expressionless and throughout the whole time we were there and didn't say one single word to us !We told her what we would like making sure we were polite to try and sort of compensate for the lack of manners and rudeness we were experiencing from her . We then asked if we could have a can of orange tango ,she sighed ,shuffled 6 foot to grab one out of the fridge and slammed it on the counter . When it came to pay she didn't tell us how much it was ,she literally just put it in the till and waited until I was forced to ask how much it was and was shown the screen on the counter by pointing , STILL NOT UTTERING A WORD . This girl clearly didn't want to be there or wasn't getting paid enough and had the customer skills of a slug . How she got a job here I will never know . All I do know is she will be losing chopstix customers at an astonishing rate if she doesn't sort her very bad attitude out.The food wasn't too bad by the way but you could tell it had been sitting in the heated trays for sometime and wasn't the best if I am honest .I had hoped my experience was an isolated one or maybe she was having a bad day, but looking at the other reviews it is exactly the same .

We chose this place to make a change from KFC or the usual burger bars. We have now been here on two occasions and each time was met with a miserable Polish girl who looked like she didn't want to be there. She slopped up our food into the cartons and practically threw them at us. My friend asked for a Fanta, so she got it from the fridge and by then I'd decided to have the same and said actually I'll have a Fanta too, so she rolled her eyes and shuffled back over the the fridge to get mine. I felt very guilty as she had to walk the whole 6 ft back to the fridge as it must have been a great inconvenience to her. The food wasn't too bad. About what you'd expect when it has been sitting in the heated containers for hours. I sincerely apologise to the staff of Chopstix Noodle Bar for being such an inconvenience to them in expecting them to serve me food and having exceeding high expectations of getting a friendly service with a smile. Needless to say I won't be inconveniencing them again. There are plenty of other places to eat at these services after all.Steve CazwellKent

It looks so good from the outside. However, on entering, it's difficult to see what's on offer as there is no wall menu.I was met by two Eastern European 'operatives'. Niether of whom had any customer skills whatsoever.I paid £5 for a carton of tasteless noodles and indecipherable 'toppings' but without chop sticks, which I thought a bit odd. Instead I was provided with a fragile plastic fork to which to consume this rubbish.No tea or coffee is available, just cans of fizz.Upon leaving, I spied a tub of hidden chop sticks. When I pulled a pair out to challenge the staff, I was met by comprehensive indiffrence.The Polish pop music that accompanied the experience was also quite bizarre for an 'Oriental' noodle bar. There is a table of condiments, but you have to find them yourself.Horrible experience. You'd be treated far better at a soup kitchen. Never again!

The Thai red curry was possibly the most unpleasant thing I've ever put in my mouth. Nasty chemical taste, and everything cooked down to a mushy consistency that meant it was impossible to distinguish between the chicken and the other ingredients. Never to be repeated!
