This place is a rip off. The tamarind duck was the size of a starter despite being priced as a main course (£10). The duck itself was mainly fat and the crispy noodles were not properly fried, which made them inedible. The panang curry did not taste like a panang but rather red curry and the mixed starter and tempura prawns were bland and rubbery. Overpriced and bad quality food. Avoid at any cost.

Delicious food! Had the Thai green curry with tofu and coconut rice which was lovely, but the starter of Thai golden bags were DELICIOUS. Honestly was not expecting them to taste so good and I’m so happy I got them. Fully recommend. My only notes: could improve the atmosphere by more decor or louder music. But really recommend, lovely waitress and great food :)

Called an order through for collection. Picked it up 20 minutes later and it was fantastic. Only ordered pad Thai, green chicken curry and coconut rice but will definitely be back for more some time! Very authentic.

I was in a group of four trying out Baan Thai's Tuesday night '£10 for two course' menu. I have been previously to this tiny restaurant but was not impressed on that occasion. It's under new ownership now and 'Mam' the chef does an excellent job, from what we were presented with and ate. I have traveled much in SE Asia, and I cook a lot of SE Asian food myself, making pastes from scratch, etc. The dishes were very authentic with lots of clean Thai flavours, varying chilli heat (just ask), lightness and fragrance. Portion size was good and service was friendly and attentive. Take your own alcohol if you need to. Parking on street nearby is possible. I would go again!

Visited Baan Thai this evening. Excellent service and Food. Would recommend the golden purse starters.

The food and service are brilliant, space was a bit tight but we really enjoyed it.

Great place! The staters were lovely and the red curry was so tasty. Fab service also and such good value. Will definitely be returning.

What else can I say, order accepted, money taken - NO FOOD DELIVERED. I wasn't to impressed with a significant price difference between the venue website and the Just eat website from the start, I should have known this wasn't going to go well.

We fancied a Thai food takeaway and found this place having never heard of it before. I have travelled Thailand and thought the food was really authentic. It was hot and delivered in good timing. We will be visiting the restaurant shortly for sure! Would 100% recommend.

This place is as far removed from a slickly run corporate chain as it is possible to be. If you want a plush restaurant then you will have to pay more and find somewhere else, this place produces fresh food at a great price and if you accept it for that then you will enjoy it. They also do take aways. They are a small team, I hope they do well, they look to be working hard. Best wishes to them. ขอให้โชคดี!

I really wanted to enjoy Baan Thai, following so many good words from my mother in law. However, I need to be honest. The food is mediocre, there's much better Thai restaurants in the city. The venue is tiny. There's four tables and I had to interrupt another table during their meal, so we could get out of the venue as their table blocked the front door. Despite how few tables they have, service was incredibly slow. It took twenty minutes to get a glass of tap water... They're upside is though, since they don't sell alcohol, it's bring your own bottle.

Back again. Just can not get enough of this great food. We love it. Highly recommend Baan Thai. Food is delicious. Give it a try. 😊

My friend and I ate here yesterday evening, we were surprised how small it was but every table was taken. It is a small family business and they were very friendly yet professional. We had starters of veg parcels and tempora veg, followed by a veg curry, stir fried veg, rice and veg noodles. The food was truly AMAZING, so tasty and cooked to order. We both had two cups of tea and the bill came to £36!!! We recommend Baan Thai highly and hope this lady goes from strength to strength with her new business, she certainly deserves to.

I live in Thailand half the year and its great to have discovered Baan Thai. The food is cooked to order and the menu has lots of choice. I loved the fish cakes and Yellow curry with egg fried rice. Its bring your own alcohol too.

I’ve had take away from here a couple of times now, the yellow curry & pad Thai are delicious. So accommodating when it comes removing ingredients etc. Honestly the best Thai in Peterborough.

Small, homely, unlicenced. Good menu, reasonable prices, excellent food, pleasant service and atmosphere.

A really enjoyable meal in an intimate setting. It’s a very small restaurant and the menu isn’t enormous but food is beautifully authentic Thai cooking, full of flavour and fresh ingredients. We had the green and yellow curries which were so tasty. The service was great and the prices very reasonable for quality fresh cooked meals. I’d definitely recommend this restaurant and we’ll be back for takeaways as it’s so much healthier and tastier than a Chinese .
