Golden Dragon in Peterborough

The delivery was prompt, but the food quality fell short. The chips lacked sufficient sauce, and the chow mein showed signs of being cooked in a dirty pan with burnt residue on the chicken. While the crispy shredded beef was acceptable, the overall experience was marred by a pervasive lack of flavor throughout the dishes.

Ordered egg fried rice, beef in green pepper and black bean sauce and chicken in Szechuan spicy sauce. Egg fried rice and chicken were rubbish. I usually enjoy szechuan, but the chicken was so bad we had to throw out before it made us further nauseous. Overall 20 pounds was not worth it. Decent delivery and the beef was okay but I wouldn't exactly recommend this place to someone.

Food was really bad. Workers told me get out the shop for just asking the time.they all swore at me and gripped onto me n my nephew and said “get out or we will beat you up”. I’m scared to go back cuz they sent threats to me. NEVER GO HERE

Semi regular customers, food always amazing and arrives hot. Keep trying different menu items, and all have been delicious. Customer service was fantastic this evening when there was a small hiccough with the online ordering system - all sorted promptly and we were enjoying our dinner in no time!

Ordered just eat never arrived rang restaurant man was extremely rude and aggressive called us liars that our food was delivered. Went to restaurant to talk and saw a bloody rat in the kitchen under the cooker

Nice food even though a little bit expensive in my opinion... I ordered the "food box" to be given a plastic round bowl with a lid on with a little bit of rice, 3 chicken balls and a drizzle of sweet and sour sauce all mixed together... Not what I expected when you read the menu ... Also everything seems a £1 to £1.50 more expensive than where I normally order from .. It was fast service though and I didn't have to wait long for my order..

I really haven't experienced what others seemed to and glad I didn't read the reviews on here before we decided to use them, otherwise we would have missed out on an amazing takeaway. We regularly order here when we are at work and the food is amazing. It's hot and fresh, not greasy or stale. The staff are so amazing and friendly, they are really helpful and our food always arrives in great time. I really can't fault them at all. We order regularly and we all love it. I just wish I lived closer so I could enjoy them more and not just when I'm at work. Myself and my colleague will continue to use them as often as possible.

Wrong item delivered, called in to sort and the gentleman I spoke with called me a thief, suggested I was stealing and said he wouldn’t deliver to my address again! He was extremely verbally abusive and aggressive, wouldn’t order from there again, especially having young children. Would not want someone from their establishment turning up at my door. Highly upsetting experience, for someone that has ordered from them over many years.

We are ordered this at work and was very happy with the order. One of our colleagues said they had had some from there the night before and it was lovely and she was right. Will most definitely use again.

When you order 1/4 crispy duck there is the hope you will receive just that a 1/4 duck. Oh how to my surprise was it that I received enough duck to fill a table spoon the rest was fat and bone!!! The chicken balls tasted like they had been microwaved. When we spoke with them to complain as it’s not a cheap dinner and expected to receive food. I was told that it is what it is and that’s how they serve it and other places are cheaper. Before the manager got on the phone I was advised that I could have £5 off my next order and wouldn’t give me a refund!! The duck cost £9.70… knew I should have picked one up in Aldi for £4 something…. The manager is extremely rude, and to end the call he said and I quote.. “thank you for the advise, but we won’t give you a refund”. This was appalling and I would say to anyone don’t waste your money. There is a better one round the corner!! Oh they did give a free bag of cold spring rolls…. Maybe that was divert our attention away from the non existent duck!!! 🤣 Doesn’t deserve 1 star!!!!

There was no sauce to go with the duck rolls. The qtr duck was full of fat and bone. Very disappointed. Spare ribs were too salty.

A tasty and smooth experience with delivery. + Free spring rolls! Black bean sauce not too much to my taste but still good quality and plenty of beef.

Not a single peanut in the pork Kung po, although very nice it wasn’t up to the usual form but don’t let this put you off it high quality food, duck a little dry but again tasty. This is my favourite takeaway without doubt but maybe a ring rung from the top of the ladder tonight, the starters were great and the chow neon good if not a little saucey but who doesn’t like saucey now and again, delivered on time hot and delicious just niggles

Delivery guy was very polite the chow main was nice and all the meats in the dish's were nice but it's a shame about the rest I had beef in peking sause it just came in water no flavour also portion size was very small

Normally the food from Golden Dragon is hot when it arrives and is very tasty. I am sorry but my last order was awful, it was nearly cold and did not taste as it normally does.

Food came cold despite the order coming within 10 minutes of ordering which was odd as it confirmed it would take 45 mins to arrive! All the food tasted old, recycled and stale. Would never order again! Extremely disappointed considering this was a £40 order.

Genuinely the best Chinese food in Peterborough, by miles. Always delivered on time, often early, and the customer service is excellent, they always read the delivery note. Their crispy chilli beef is exceptional, and the fried rice has so much flavour. Haven't had a meal from them that I didn't love.

Excellent meal, first time ordering from The Golden Dragon, food was generously portioned, hot, delivered swiftly and most importantly tasted great, will definitely be our go-to for future orders. Thank you.

Lived in Peterborough my whole life and never ordered from here but thought id try it, defo one of the best! Everything was perfect the curry sauce is beauts!

Was missing my chicken balls but called and had someone drop them off within ten minutes !! Amazing customer service gave us a free bag of spring rolls when the chicken balls came, lovely food and will defo order again 🙂

Everything salty, salty. Had to throw it. Disappointed extremely. Couldn't contact restaurant to tell them.

The food is ok, I had called the restaurant to ask if the noodles and rice is dry and the lady said yes as it was the house specials as I didn't want no gravy but when food arrived it was so much gravy and oil it was a letdown

Would have been very good to inform me that the delivery would be late, driver apologised saying short on driver’s, we are now late with our plans. Communication from you could be greatly improved

Turned up after 2 hours and 10 mins. Spring roll had a massive bone in it. Restaurant said it was late due to traffic. Traffic doesn't delay it for over an hour. Fact they only have 2 drivers is why its mega late.

I had the satay chicken with egg fried rice a favorite of mine and I’m not saying it’s horrible it just not to my taste was watery and didn’t taste like the satay I’m use to different place than usual so obviously different way of doing it but If you want an nice thick creamy satay chicken then go to king fu kitchen hands down the best I’ve had My partner had stake and chips it was over cooked and wasn’t easy to cut or eat now I did warn him that buying food that isn’t Chinese from a Chinese takeaway isn’t a good idea and I was proved right He said the gravy was nice tho Delivery driver was really nice polite I would probably use them again but have something different next time

Food arrived cold and stale We ordered crispy duck and the pancakes that came was stale. They was crunchy and not acceptable. We ordered chow mein and rice both came cold and the prawns was ice cold. This was not acceptable at all and a very disappointing experience

18:10 - 18:30 estimated delivery time. The food eventually turned up at 19:15. Food was great. But delivery time was dreadful.

Very very dissapointed tonight with The golden dragon . Placed our order at 5.45 pm . Delivery estimated at 6.50 - 7.10 pm Rang the take away twice . I was informed at 7.50 pm our order was being cooked and would be another 30 mins . At 8.25 pm our order was cancelled by the restaurant ????????? We have supported you all year but I’m assuming as our order was only £20.80 p you chose to cancel us 2 1/2 hours after ????

By far the worst Chinese I have ever had. Soggy chips, soggy pancake rolls, satay chicken that was like battered chicken nuggets on sticks.sweet and sour chicken balls with no sauce and beef chow mien that was totally dry.

Small portions of over cooked chips and sadly the steak was a bit gristly and small. Tasted nice just needs better meat and better chip servings and no over cooked ones.
