Absolute garbage. They used to be okay, but now it seems something has changed, new cheaper suppliers or something because the food is garbage. Had food from here twice recently, awful both times and the second time had me throwing up in the middle of the night twice. I'm never eating here again.

A neat takeaway. The King Prawn Noodles contained around eight pieces and it was tasty. We shared two dishes between the three of us.

The rice and chicken chowmein were lovely but my crispy chilli beef and salt pepper chicken were half vegetables which was very disappointing considering the price. I wouldn't come again

Ordered food for 3ppl. But feeds four... Love chowmeins. Chowmein with pineapple... The most sweat and sour sauce with chicken & shrimp balls. Never had a problems... The only minus not halal.. Wish they would have... As my husband is muslim... He would live this food. Had some issues with the menu. Didn't know names of food. So had a chat and they answered all questions. No robot answers..

What a rip off! Went there last night after I had said I won’t ever go there again. The portion sizes are ridiculous, no meat in them just onions yet there prices have gone up.. Not worth the money!

Always have had a good Chinese from here. We have moved 7miles away and nothing compares to this. Will always use this Chinese over our local area one.

Enjoyed the food second time around. The beef black bean sauce is delicious and tender with adequate sauce. The taufu dish is splendid and real fresh taufu. Moist fried noodles (chow mein ) with King Prawns. Highly recommended. Thank you

Smoked chicken, spring rolls etc that should be crispy were soft and inedible - as though they'd been microwaved. Over an hour for delivery. Food was very hot or it would have been 1 star. Wouldn't recommend. Will not use again.

Food arrived over an hour later. I’m assuming we must have been last on the couriers food drops. The squid was tough and chewie, the batter was wet and soggy. The whole meal including the rice just didn’t taste right? A few hours later I had severe sickness & diarrhoea. It wasn’t a bug as nobody else in my household fell victim, so it was definitely the food!

First time I've tried food from star wok and so glad I did..Food was perfect and not greasy,very generous portions with plenty of meat and to top it all of was the speedy delivery..

It is the 1st time we ordered from here and after reading the reviews about how long it takes to deliver I was a bit worried, but we got our food an hour after we ordered it. (It might be different over a weekend) The delivery man was very friendly. The food was delicious and the portions massive, we could eat again the next day. The pieces of chicken in the meals were massive. We were very impressed and will definitely use again. I also checked online and they have a 5 star food rating which is always good 👍

Never been there do not do these types of restaurants

I went in shop to order my food as I was currently in Hampton at the time.. The wait for my order didn't take to long... Food was fantastic.. As their delivery service is very poor at time's. To avoid disappointment i would recommend collecting your food. As it will be quicker than waiting for it to be delivered...

Went there Friday around half 5 took minutes to make, got home could tell it's microwaved. Woke this morning with sickness and diarrhoea never ever eating from there again

Had a leaflet posted through the door, decided to try. Sooo glad we did! Food is amazing. Delivery was quick, driver was polite and friendly. Big bonus is they deliver to Oundle. Bit pricier than others we have been to but we don't like any of the Oundle chinese's, on the other hand the petrol it costs to collect from Peterborough or corby comes close and frankly its worth the extra few ££s for good food. Highly recommended this Chinese.

Do not recommend!!! This establishment has very poor customer service. The first time I ordered they forgot my eggfried rice, they refused to send one eggfried rice out but then sent a driver out with the refund of £2.50 I think. My partner on the 20th March at 18.30pm purchased a food for a family night, my partner the rang them at 19.27pm to be advised the driver will be with us with in the next 15 minutes. At 20.00pm my partner then rang again to find out what's happening, they stated that the driver has just left so should be 15 minutes later. My partner then asked to speak with a member of management, meanwhile the young lady placed my partner on hold but did not do it properly, my partner over heard the conversation of the staff verbally slag my partner off. I wouldn't recommend this to any one, we will be taking this up with the local council

Ordered last sat took 1 hour and 45 minutes to arrive. Had to be reheated. Called after an hour and told just cooking it.

Due to Covid and having to wait outside, they made me wait well over 40mins in the cold. Do not go here it wasn’t good food either!!!!

Just ordered and delivered to us at Oundle. Was by far the best and nicest Chinese iv ever had! And portion sizes means I have enough left for tomorrow too :D Brilliant thank you to all staff that work at StarWok :)

Pathetic customer service. Placed order at 1845 and food arrived after 2 hrs. Worse was when i called them first 2 times they said the food has already left and when it again didn't arrive after 75 mins they said we just started cooking. I wish i could give them a negative star for absolutely bad service.

The food is good, if and when it shows up, but the last order we placed took over 2hrs to arrive, and the order we placed tonight just flat out hasn't shown up (it's now been 3.5hrs - we've had to order other food). Only buy if you're physically going there.

Best Chinese takeaway in Hampton Vale.

Had a takeaway from StarWok last night, it arrived warm and earlier than expected with a friendly smile from the delivery man. The food was delicious, especially the Aromatic Crispy Duck, Spring Rolls and Chicken and Cashew dish. Definitely have again!

Delivered wrong food poor customer service wanted to charge me again to redeliver 21/2 hours later, had to go there twice to get a refund would not recommend ruined son’s birthday treat

Food is ok but the service is not, I find them rude and unhelpful. Try Wok and Eat instead, the guy in there is very helpful and friendly. I’ll be going there from now on.

Ordered a delivery direct to the shop for local delivery, total cost £50 for 6 people, delivery was on time however 4 items were missing from the order and the delivered food was cold. Phoned the shop there response was we are busy, the missing 4 items turned up half an hour later. Recalled the shop, their attitude was its my fault they can't help or make amends, offer a credit or refund. Disgusting service disgusting attitude cold food and missing food. What more is there to dislike from this outlet. Avoid at all costs they rip you off.

First time we have used this takeaway since moving to Hampton, the service was very efficient and the food was delivered in 20 minutes. All the dishes we ordered were piping hot and really delicious - we will definitely be using this Chinese again!

Very very nice food the best ive had in peterborough, always comes hot and tastes fresh i must say i sometimes avoid the bbq pork and chicken though and have just chicken because it can taste slightly less fresh... otherwise, all round lovely fresh food and alot better than many others i have tried local to me edit: they also have a great service and delivery time i love their food i eat it a couple of times a week

I've been using this takeaway since I moved to Hampton eight years ago and I've never had a bad meal. I've never used the delivery service but always gone to the shop and ordered and seen them cooking the food fresh which means it is always piping hot. I wouldn't say the staff are friendly but they have always been courteous and efficient. There is a good menu to choose from and their price are average.

At last we have found a decent Chinese takeaway with tasty food which isn’t smothered with powdered flavour enhancers! This will be our go to from now on after having tried various others in the area.

The food from here could have been better if warm! When I called to complain that the food was cold, my response was “you should have eaten it quicker” we had started eating our main dishes approx 5 mins after our starters. Don’t order from here. Defrosted and reheated left overs!

Very hard to beat this they even cover the days shut from another in yaxley Peterborough. Fast hot food delivered to your door loads of choices even bonuses if you need more food for patties. Recommended 100% cannot wait for my next meal

I implore you to please ignore any review for this place that is not 5 stars, these people obviously have some deep psychological issues which they should deal with, rather than taking it out on this wonderful establishment. The food is incredible.The server is incredible.The Chinese accents are incredible.

Staff are friendly & service was very quick but both of our meals (completely different dishes) were bland and we both fell ill afterwards. Perhaps we went on a bad night but both of our meals just weren't what we were expecting in terms of taste. A shame.

The ordering process of being able to order online directly from the restaurant is why I was a return customer to Star Wok. Unfortunately our last order was a bit of a shambles. The order took nearly 90 minutes to arrive and when it did the sweet and sour chicken balls were so salty and the cantonese chicken had a chemical taste, like a bit of washing liquid had been spilled in it? Needless to say that part of our meal was completely inedible and ruined the whole thing. I messaged the restaurant to let them know (in case there was a problem in the kitchen) and was completely ignored. The only time I was contacted was after leaving a review on their page. Unfortunately the way in which my complaint was dealt with means that I will be going elsewhere from now on and I would hate for others to waste money and be treated badly. I am sad to have to leave a 1 star review as I had hoped to have a better experience but there are some great restaurants in Peterborough so don't let this one spoil your evening.

EXCELLENT FOOD # TASTES TOO GOOD Very good and quick service. I love eating chinese food and have tried so many places until i tried Starwok which is amazing Chinese takeaway. The staff is very nice and they provide quick service always. Food tastes amazing..its my family's favourite takeaway now. Best place to order chinese food in Peterborough.:-)

this place always feels busy. popular amongst locals. pretty good food and has always been hot. had a couple of wrong orders but minor and they have always corrected it ASAP. friendly staff/owners

bought from here a few times and didnt have a problem ordered the same thing on Tuesday without egg an chicken and noticed that these food items were in there given im a vegetarian i couldnt eat this so gsve it to my partner ate the other bits and now i have got food poisioning had to take a few days of work.. i wont order from hear again
