Very nice pizzas, service decent but could be better, a little slow as taking a drinks order (we waited around 15-20 mins before we were asked) but overall a good experience and would recommend

We hired the smaller private room for a family tea to celebrate a special birthday. There were 15 of us, grandparents, parents and children. From the start of our relationship with Mabel's administrator, Martine, discussions flowed easily - price, one glutenfree guest, one vegetarian, lots of details - nothing was too much trouble. On the day there was plenty to eat - sandwiches, scones, cakes and a drinks bar with prosecco. Sara, our waitress, was a star, making sure everyone had everything we wanted including extra cups of tea or coffee. Everyone enjoyed the relaxing informal event. The room was full of Victoriana and the children loved the experience and also the opportunity to explore the garden (with adult supervision). Our family tea at Mabel's was everything we wanted for our special day. Huge thanks to Martine and Sara for all their beautiful hospitality and care.

I had never been here before. What a lovely pub. Staff were lovely and helpful. Lovely garden which is contained so ideal to bring kids. Food was lovely. Very quite in the garden. Lots of parking. And the locals were so nice and friendly. Will definitely be back. Highly recommend. 5 stars 🌟

THE FOOD IS ALWAYS FRESH, ALL HOME MADE, SERVICE WAS REALLY FIRST CLASS, THE OWNER AND HIS WIFE, ARE ALWAYS THERE TO MAKE SURE, THAT YOU ENJOY YOUR VISIT. 5 STARS FOR PRESNTATION AND CLEANLYNESS. Popped in for coffee and cake when visiting the area. The lady who served me was so friendly and welcoming, we had a chat about the cakes and the weather. I had a slice of clotted cream cake and a coffee - the cake was one of the best I’ve had in a long time. Wish I’d stayed for a full lunch. Would thoroughly recommend.

Why haven’t I heard of this place before? Honestly, the best cup of coffee I've had in years. Amazing place. You can really tell the owners are passionate about delivering a super high standard offer. Blows the chains out of the water! Well done guys.

We had roast beef Sunday lunch with pudding and cocktails, all first class food and service faultless experience will be back.

A wonderful afternoon tea in beautiful surroundings, lovely traditional tearoom and excellent service . Couldn’t fault it . Can’t wait to return.

This cafe has got it right in every way -friendly staff, quick service, generous portions cooked really well, great prices, clean and simple decor. Please support this local business and enjoy a good meal. The smoothies/milkshakes are yummy if you fancy a treat.

Excellent service and very good value for money,prompt delivery service.I have eaten on couple of occasions lamb and chicken wrap with salad, very generous portions.

Best wraps and pittas in Darkes lane. Been here a few times, sometimes for a Giro, sometimes a cake, sometimes just coffee. Definitely the best in Darkes lane even if just for a coffee and best value for money. The staff are so friendly and extremely helpful. Can’t recommend highly enough.

It’s a kebab place with traditional Turkish staff and really good Turkish food. Big portions and v fresh salad. I never complain and use it as I hardly cook when I have to stay here.
