The best restaurants serving Default food in Castle Point East of England

This is a great family run bar, drinks are well priced and the family that own it are fantastic company, Sunday afternoon is always great in the bar with live singers from 4pm till 7pm

Just had a takeaway and was absolutely gorgeous - everything about it, the vegetable rice was very good one of the best ive had, chicken tikka dhansak was very tasty, we will definitely be coming back 😋

We attended on Xmas Eve. There were 9 of us and we had booked a table in advance. Upon entry it was clear they were not prepared for us as no table was set. After staff pushed three tables together and hurriedly fetched some napkins we were able to sit. This restaurant does not have an alcohol licence so you bring your own alcoholic drinks. Popadoms to begin and then straight to mains. We waited over an hour for our mains. When they arrived the food was good quality, tasty, hot and nice. When it came to the bill my party was paying with cash and card. A staff member came over and my wife asked for the card machine. He huffed, rolled his eyes and plodded off to get the machine. We had obviously inconvenienced him. Overall it was a nice meal which took a bit too long to serve and the staffs customer service left a lot to be desired. Sadly, although I enjoyed the food, I will not be returning again due to the staff rudeness and the delay in receiving our food. Those two issues spoiled an otherwise enjoyable night.

Where do I begin from? Great customer service from my favourite dish TURKSIH, food. Staff are warm and welcoming. Food is great but nothing like London's Turkish food. I can't wait to return. Teşekkür ederim 🙌❤️

Had a lovely afternoon tea with a Groupon voucher. Everything was freshly made, delicious cakes with warm scones. Good selection of sandwiches with sausage rolls. Lady who owned the cafe was very friendly and welcoming. Well worth the money we paid.

Good atmosphere, little gem of a place, hidden away. Parking tricky. If you fancy fish, good place to go. Good value. Personal. Friendly.

order wrong no salad in roll. seems like no one knows who is taking orders. had a chap today got it wrong. Not the first time. they get a couple of orders and lady on hotplate seems very flustered.

This really is a hidden gem 💎 We were looking for something a little different to the normal, and this really did hit the spot. Very friendly atmosphere, spotlessly clean, and the food wow 👌 I had the Octopus for mains, and for a moment, I forgot that I was in the UK. The flavours 😃 Cheesecake for dessert gave that sweet tooth exactly what was needed. The portion size is very good. I will definitely be making this place a regular visit to work my way through the variety on the menu. Spoilt for choice is an understatement Sadly, there were no photos. I was far too interested in eating

Lovely food, however today I witnessed the manager being verbally aggressive to a female staff member in front of customers. Very unprofessional and changed the atmosphere of the restaurant due to the managers actions.

I personally think canvey Labthworth Cafe is excellent. I recently visited Cafe Max and was genuinely impressed. The coffee is outstanding, rich, flavorful, and clearly made with care. Their food menu is just as good, offering fresh, delicious options that pair perfectly with any drink. What really sets this place apart though, is the customer service. Every staff member I interacted with was friendly, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. You can tell they take pride in creating a great experience for every guest. The atmosphere ties everything together, cozy, stylish, and perfect whether you’re meeting a friend, getting some work done, or just enjoying a quiet moment with a great cup of coffee. I can’t recommend this spot highly enough. It’s the kind of place you want to keep coming back to.
