The best restaurants serving Default food in Kirkby in Ashfield Central Ashfield East Midlands

Went here on quick Saturday tea and breakfast round. Ended up spending much more time here, doing some work and brief reading. The place is nice, specious and busy. Good food and very nice staff. Highly recommend.

This Alice in Wonderland themed cafe is around 10 minutes walk from home so I often take family or friends here either for coffee and cake or a sandwich lunch. All food is made fresh, portions are very generous and the cakes, made by a lovely lady called Colleen, are fantastic…she also makes birthday and Christmas cakes for me.

Great service and good food. Sometimes gets busy in the summer as expected, always looks clean and staff are friendly.

Passed this place many times, so it was a first. Looks like it was done up relatively recently, decor looks pretty good and a nice layout. Had the half roast chicken, which had various options. Not your usual fayre in regular places, but it was good as it was. 4 options to fit most palates, sauces, chips, mash etc. Recommended!

Always consistent food, you can actually see the kitchen whilst food is being cooked and I would honestly eat of the surfaces it is that immaculate. Customer service always on form, I even asked for some chopsticks, of which the owner said they had none so she gave me her own. Absolutely fabulous establishment and the food is beyond amazing, it's very interesting to watch it being cooked. I'd suggest order whilst you're there so you can see the magic happen. It's quite fantastical. I highly recommend this as the best Asian takeaway in the ashfields.

Really enjoyed but no consistency with waiters, therefore message not always passed on. Although service was very good from all thankyou. Ambiance was very good, nice atmosphere and very friendly.

I call in at least once a week with a friend for a coffee, the manager is always on hand, she’s a lovely lady and will do anything to help,the coffee is really nice, I’ve not sampled the food yet but I’ve seen what’s served up and I feel it won’t be long before I’m tucking in with family or friends, there’s an outside seating area and it’s spotless, I would recommend the kings way for any occasions

Popped in for some dinner from staying at the hotel across the road. Scampi, salad, jacket and pepper sauce was all lovely. The only reason it’s not a five star review is because the steak wasn’t a great cut - every mouth full I had to spit some of it out due to the gristle but that’s. It the chefs fault. Service was good and the meal was good value.

While visiting friends here, I suggested that we have a Chinese takeaway. This one is very close by were my friends live, we ordered a selection of dishes from the very comprehensive menu. And we certainly wasn't disappointed with the amount and the quality of the food. Would have given it 4.5 stars but had to give four stars. Certainly recommend this establishment and definitely use again next time we are visiting our friends. And good value for money .

This is a great family pub. Absolutely lovely food and they are great at dealing with allergies. The traditional Sunday lunches are super tasty and there’s an extensive choice in the week.

Not upto the usual standard.Chicken was dry and not very hot or fresh.The pizza was disappointing not very fresh or hot chips were also not very warm and for £16+ not cheap

Rice was stodgy, chicken balls not crispy, other dishes not very tasty
