The best restaurants serving Chinese food in South Wales

Under new management and very poor food ever since. The attitude from the chef and front of house towards a worker was vile, shouting at the workers. Would avoid.

Prawn curry with chips in a tray to eat in the car. Absolutely lovely food and great service.

Dreadful watery no seasoning. Limp and grim. I bought for my partner birthday and her best friend. Half my disposable weekly income. So embarrassed now.

Dark, dingy atmosphere, miserable staff. Food is dry, stale and over cooked, no flavour. Not worth the money at all

Do not bother , absolute terrible service , waited 1hr 20mins for delivery , phoned to ask what the delay was , and was told they don't know , didn't even get the order right when it finally came , 1st time I've used these , and will be the last. Rubbish

Omg, Silver Dragon is amazing. It's small but brilliant. I've been going here for over 20 years, and I've never had a bad experience. The food is always freshly made and beautiful. It's tasty and filling. Just the best.

Chinese takeaway only no delivery. Best Chinese in maesteg in my opinion. The look of the shop is pretty poor inside but don’t let that fool you. The food is beautiful! The smoked chicken with garlic is outstanding. We have ordered here a few times and always enjoyed

Very polite and helpful staff, very tasty food

Called in just after 11pm, and I was totally ignored by the girl behind the counter, so preoccupied with counting the cash in the till. Only after myself and another customer eventually managed to get her attention, I was served. Gave her my order, and when arriving home, I found that the three items I'd asked for (chips, large sausage, and a potato fritter), only the chips and sausage were packed. The chips were cold and soggy. All I can say for this establishment is very substandard food and absolutely terrible service. Would NOT RECOMMEND and I will definitely not be returning.

My wife and I recently migrated to S Wales from Hong Kong. We were delighted to find a restaurant serving authentic HK style dim sum. I suggest that those who criticise the food are those who unfortunately think what is served up in local takeaways is real HK food. Chips and curry are not Chinese dishes!

We verbleven in een hotel in Cardiff. Ik heb hier op een avond wat te eten gehaald. Noodles met rijst. Het was lekker. Wel een beetje vreemd hoe het ging. Ik had niet online besteld omdat je dan allerlei info moet invoeren die ik niet had. In de zaak aangekomen werd ik aan een tafeltje gezet. Daarna kreeg ik de menukaart en kon ik kiezen. En toen werd mijn bestelling gemaakt. De 2 gerechten waren in iets van 10 minuten klaar en ik kon vrij snel weer gaan. De portie was ok. We hadden 2 maal noodles met garnalen. We kregen er gelukkig stokjes en bestek bij om het te eten. Het smaakte goed, was voldoende en niet heel duur. Omdat er zoveel mogelijkheden zijn om iets te eten te halen ben ik er geen 2de keer geweest. Wel tevreden, het heeft goed gesmaakt.

Food was good the bbq sauce was diffrent to my useual it dark im used to like a redish colour & curry sauce was very very oily like you could see it when lid was taken off the sauce tub other then this is was good also needs a better drinks selection

We were visiting on holiday and wanted a chinese takeaway and looked at the reviews and thought this was worth a try. When we got there, you had to phone your order though, not knowing this, one of the staff very kindly came out to see us and take our order, who was very friendly and helpful. So glad we chose this one. The food was so tasty and we all agreed it was the best takeaway we had ever had, and we have had a few! We couldn't get over the portion sizes, especially the chicken balls, as well as being a good price, there was simply nothing to fault. We wish it was our local chinese. We shall certainly be back when in the area again.

Woke up with dry mouth and thirsty. In my experience this is indicative of eating food with MSG. We had pancake rolls, Fried rice with chicken. Fried chicken and roast pork with mushrooms. The food was edible, but we would not return or recommend it to anyone.
