Disappointed tonight. All food cold except chicken balls which were burnt alongside the poppadoms. Told there would be a fifteen minute wait took longer hence can't understand food being cold

Really good chinese, quick, cheap and really delicious chinese food. Inside needs a revamp but overall good.

Best Chinese around yuh once. After tonight I won't be coming back. Chicken balls looked liked they where are-cooked from the night before and the pancake roll.. Few times now ive had bad food from yuh.. Curry not the same no more..

Fabulous food if your prepared to wait 10-15 min

Not the best looking place to order food however I have found it to one of the better tasting taje aways in Maesteg

Firstly the food. Very acidic and full of salt. But average nonetheless. However, there appears to be some suspicious pricing. If you order by telephone using online menu (Facebook for example) you are looking at an old price list. A newer price list is apparent when entering the shop and as a total suprise I was quoted an even higher price apparently due to the increase in energy costs. This I understand. But as they haven't updated both online and in-house menu, it should honour the prices quoted, and not the 'new' prices that have suddenly appeared. Strange way of doing business and I will not use again.

Nothing fancy but always a nice takeaway.

The food was stone cold also payed for a souse and never got given it the food delivery took hour and a half to come then couple of items was missing and when we rang we had nothing but attitude also we had to drive to t The store to collect the items but refused the source very disappointed as we have 3 children also 1 is a baby and having the food that we received was terrible never again will be ordering from such a poor service

From the service to the food absolutely outstanding , we ordered four different meals and everyone of them was delicious. Would highly recommend this Chinese

Good quality food at competative prices

Since covid started this take away has increased their prices and halved the size of their container,s ,not only that the quality of their food has plummeted to very poor .

Been here 3 times now since the easing of lockdown, on a recommendation from family and boy we were not disappointed. Cooked to order,fresh and tasty. Staff lovely and polite, we had sweet and sour chicken balls in batter,chicken curry,chips,egg fried rice,crispy beef (which was out of this world fresh and crispy) and plain noodles, prawn crackers whichcame to £21.30 great value. My only problem is the curry could be a little thicker but that's just how I like it though. They have huge plastic sheeting between staff and customers for protection and also have a hand sanitization gels too. Definitely recommend.

Stunning, hot, fresh food. Absolutely delicious. I collected the order. The shop had plastic shielding up to protect customer and staff from Covid 19. The staff wore masks.

Ordered a medium sized meal, they managed to get the food wrong twice! had to return to store once checked meal at counter this time and it was wrong again, when chefs finally got it right prawn dish wasn’t cooked prawns were grey. Awful awful avoid!

Lovely Chinese. Best we've had for a while!

Went to this Chinese lastnight. Big mistake. While waiting for my order I toke a look around the front of the building which was looking all worn and very tired. It needs referbushing. Had chicken curry which was laced with sugar. Asked for egg fried rice and no egg. This Chinese takeaway should be shut down. If you cant serve good food then close down. I would be embarrassed to serve food like that. Never will I go here again.

Amazing Chinese. Really fresh and tasty

Never order from here!! I ordered beef chow mein, it was soaked at the bottom in what I can only assume is water. The curry sauce tasted like custard. My egg fried rice had no egg in. The Singapore fried rice was dry and almost sandy. The chips had clearly been reheated and was rubbery. An absolute waste of £30!!!!

Made me and my Brother ill. Be warned! This is oil that came off my food!

Been going there all my life. Food is great. staff are friendly Couldn't recommend this place more Only issue is no delivery but let's be honest I would be even fatter than I already am.

What a pleasant surprise, one of the best takeaways I've had in this area, rice was very good, not sticky and gloopy like most. Well impressed I'd happily go there again.

Well I tell you what my friends... the bestest takeaway in the bakeaway 10/10 will eat again... yum yum in my tum tum.

What a lovely place clean and tidy and the food is gorgeous...

For us this is easily the best Chinese take- away in the valley, food good, staff very friendly, use it at least once a fortnight. But need to work on improving their hygiene star rating (not that we have ever had a problem on that front).

Use to love this place use to be great tasting food. Now find it very greasy and very salty not the greatest in maesteg but not a lot of choice anymore either. Noodles are in a strange sauce too.

Usually this is my favourite Chinese although it never seems to be open not just on a Tuesday when they are closed. I ordered chicken curry, pork curry, special fried rice, chips, prawn crackers and a barbecue sauce. I had to phone up after over an hour to say we hadn’t had our food, the lady on the phone was looking for ages and it sounded like they had either lost my order or was making it as they hadn’t made it until I had just phoned. It took 2 hours and 15 minutes altogether to receive my order, I waited longer than usual because the rugby was on. After 2 hours I apologised and said I would like to cancel the order as it was too late and the girl said it was on its way, 10-15 minutes later it turned up, it was cold and had no apology for the lateness. I wanted to take the food back so they could see what they had served me but my partner just said to leave it. I definitely won’t be ordering from here again

Real good Chinese take away NOT A RESTAURANT ! Extensive menu and everything iv tried has been really nice. Fast service and quite friendly

Lovely food, bit pricey but very tasty, very friendly staff, if there is anything not on menu you can ask chef and they are more than happy to make it for you. Very clean only problem is they do not deliver, this would fantastic for those lazy nights where you just have to chill out, but it is worth the journey you will not be disappointed.glad to see they kept some old pictures on wall from when it was a fantastic chip shop from when i was a small child talk about nostalgia! Kay and gwyn ( previous owners) were the best people, even open our bottle of pop and out a straw in it for us great times.

Love their sauces especially the honey roast sauce and the plum sauce. Their meals are always very generously sized with plenty of meat. Service is very quick.

The main reason this is my fave takeaway is that they give you an egg on top of their special fried rice. That is so old school, by the way the special fried rice is the best. We love the chicken curry too. They also give you free prawn crackers or pompadoms. Only downside is that they dont deliver.

I always go to New Dragon, always lovely food and I don't like anything spicy so I ask them to make it mild and they always do, brilliant!
