The best restaurants serving Chinese food in Stockport North West

We visited yesterday evening for my birthday, for the first time, and we will certainly be back. The food was superb, freshly cooked, and delicious. Sonny the owner did everything that he could to make us feel welcome and we had a lovely evening.

Really tasty food at a reasonable price. Staff are always lovely and waiting time is not too long.

Unusual "All you can eat". But makes sense less waste. Food was good and came in measured portions. And the food flavour was good.

We went to Rainbow 88 for the Sunday buffet as a party of 7 and a baby. Food was okay, service was fine. My issue was the charge when the bill arrived for my one year old of £8. When we asked about this we were told rather abruptly that it's 'on the menu' well yes it is on the menu but we presumed this was a charge for children who are actually eating the buffet. No this is a 'donation' enforced on all your children even the ones who aren't actually eating. I have never been to a restaurant that sticks a donation on the end of your bill for a baby. Yes it's for the Christie, yes it's for a good cause but £8 for a baby to sit there?! Bizarre. Oh and I had to change my babies nappy on 2 pushed together chairs in the women's toilet under the hand dryer as they have no baby change facilities. Very unhygienic and unsafe. All in all we have been a few times as a family for birthdays etc but I don't think we will go again. Or maybe we will go back when my child can actually eat so he can get good value out of his £8 donation. The Magician was great

Love getting a takeaway from here when I'm visiting family nearby. The salt and pepper bean curd is phenomenal.

Ni hau Wendy Li, you always serve great authentic Cantonese food, best Sweet and Sour King Prawn, and Singapore Vermacelli, and are such a friendly family..with Li sat Fon, and Li sat Lin occassionally helping out

Lees does a magnificent sweet and sour chicken, rice and chips are splendid as well .I like their special fried rice. i have been a customer for many years. My other half has been a customer since they opened. Just last week it was packed out with people ordering Chinese meals. From what customers told me some people travel a good distance to get their meals. We live nearby. Viv G.

Great restaurant with lovely staff and delicious food

Waited 1hou 30 minutes then got the wrong order had to phone them eventually after another wait got right order which was very cold the chips were disgusting won't be having food from there again the driver was rude

Went in for dinner and ordered chicken satay. Chicken arrived and was raw ! Starter was replaced with an apology but when the bill arrived it wasn't adjusted for their mistake and still a 10% service charge was added. I will never eat here again because of this, really poor customer service.

Really good, fresh food and a very warm welcome from David and his family - wouldn't hesitate to go back. Very refreshing

I was really impressed with how fresh everything tasted.

This restaurant is friendly, welcoming and attentive. We see the same staff each time we visit, the service is good, we always get what we order (no funny business with being given the wrong things) and I really like the atmosphere. We always go as a family, including 2 teenagers, and the kids love it, which is unusual because they are….teenagers….if there’s ever the option for a meal out, they always ask to go here. Oh and the portions are big so the staff always pack up the leftovers for us.

It was nice to have our first meal out since lockdown. Good food and good service, nice to meet up with our friends again . Thank you all

We come here often on a Sunday night and it’s never not busy, I’m not surprised as the food is great, and their portions are good. Lovely staff with great service The Mongolian Ribs are the best ribs anywhere 9/10 John Cavanagh
