Decided to come for something to eat as opposed to sit in the rush hour queues. Not disappointed, warm welcome and great food.

Waited over 1 hour 40 minutes For the food to arrive we had to bin it all it was so cold I did ring to see where my food was after 1hour and got told it was on its way the restaurant is 10 minutes away from my house still arrived 40 minutes after my phone call

We went last night for my birthday and it was our first time going to this restaurant, they was all so friendly and welcoming , I had the best birthday ever thanks so the lovely staff and yummy food,we will be making this out new place to go out and eat! Excellent food and really great service. Have been here many times with family, and the food is always fantastic. Great choices of set menus or a la carte. Fabulous and friendly service from staff, without hovering or rushing us through the meal.

First time here we were looking for a nice Chinese restaurant as we do not like takeaways. We checked reviews on the website which were all 5 star so we thought this looks good so we booked a table. when we got there the parking was full as it is not big it is on the corner of a main road so awkward luckily someone was coming out so we got a place. It was very full so we thought this must be good we couldn't have been more wrong we ordered a drink and starter which came quite quickly. the starter said for 2 at £11.50 it had 2 spring rolls on it 4 pcs of prawn toast 2 ribs which didn't have much meat on and one the meat was that frizzled you could not eat it a small bowl of crispy seaweed and 2 chicken skewers it actual cost £23.00 as they charge that price for 2 so very overpriced we waited a long time for the mains to come it was more like takeaway food in a slimy sauce and to much garlic I have never had beef and ginger like that at a restaurant before, we ordered salt and pepper chips which were in a little pot and cost £6 and rice both were cold. I can honestly say it is the worst Chinese restaurant I have ever been in the bill was £92 with an £8.60 service charge we did have wine on that but it was well overpriced and the food was awful. .

Staff very attentive and polite. Restaurant is a bit dated and needs a revamp/tlc. Food was very good but portions for the set menu were small, not value for money. Next time I'll order individual courses as they looked plentiful.

just moved from Cale Green. my friend recommended this takeaway. It was like the wild west. The 'good, the bad and the ugly'. prawn toast was good. The soft noodles and beansprouts were bad and my Duck dish was ugly. My stomach was not great the next day. Apparently theres a better chinese takeaway over the road.

Eaten here twice recently, once on Boxing Day and again at a weekend. I’m surprised at so many negative reviews as we all enjoyed both meals a lot. The food is a very good standard and the service efficient and friendly. Having been to Hong Kong many times, we’re not that easily pleased with Chinese restaurants in the UK but I would say that for the location and price this restaurant is a good choice. Looking forward to further meals here with family.

Celebration of 2 birthdays the staff & food are excellent.

After reading the reviews below we were a bit sceptical about coming here. But how wrong we were. Greeted and seated quickly. Menu is very well thought out with something for everyone. We ordered and within 10 mins our starters had arrived, pipping hot tasty food. Well presented. Great food, not too expensive, friendly staff. It was a lovely experience glad we went.

My husband actually reviewed 5 months ago and gave a 5 star review. We've been ordering from Peking Garden for delivery for over 12 months and the food used to be fantastic and very reasonably priced. The recent price increases along with the reduced quality of food is really disappointing. We paid just over £5 for a noodle side dish that has very minimal noodles and mostly veg. The main dishes also have less meat and more veg in them with a higher price tag. The food has also been taking longer and longer to arrive (with an attached £3 delivery fee) with tonight being the longest at 1.5 hours.

The place is beautiful the staff are excellent well pleasant really good take-in and dine-in they have delicious fortune cookies everything on the menu is delicious best Chinese place in the whole world in the uk. You can get anything you want of excellent service and the timing is just right the drinks are really good they make sure you get enough food to eat. On the way out you get a fortune cookie the best notes inside are true.Try Peking Garden it’s the best Chinese in the city and the whole of the uk very clean and fancy place.

We went here on Christmas Eve, there was a choice of three set menus, there were four of us, 6pm. They’d ran out of soup? 40 minutes later some tasteless soup arrived. An hour later our mains, it was so salty it was literally inedible. £235!!!! Scandalous

Called in on off chance, Prawn crackers on being seated nice touch, Food over priced and not that nice, Always wanted to go, now been won’t be going again. Should have stayed in and had our local takeaway which is always enjoyable and less than half the price…

My daughter chose here for her birthday meal, and that says it all a true connoisseur, food was quick to come, hot and tasty, ordered far too much as usual, but we'll definitely be back, top.

I love Peking Garden, I've been to the buffet before and I order regularly for takeaway. Unfortunately, today the buffet wasn't good. Last time I went there was a much larger selection (granted this was pre-COVID) so I was surprised that there were only a select few dishes. We had to remind the waitress to bring our Jasmine tea and the food was unfortunately disappointing. I love my takeaways from here so I really wasn't expecting what we got. There were no labels on the starter foods, they salt and pepper mushrooms were too oily and tasted a bit stale and the pork was tough. The egg fried rice and sweet and sour chicken were good though. The staff were really friendly giving us a warm reception when we entered and the manager made sure to tell us if there was anything that was empty that we needed they would refill straight away.

We recently celebrated my husband's 70th birthday with a family gathering of 20 people. We had to postpone from October as my husband was to poorly to attend. The staff were great really understanding and changed the date without any problems at the very last minute.They had decorated the long table and we had a lovely meal which everyone thoroughly enjoyed. A selection of starters and several main dishes with rice and noodles to share. They then brought us dessert in tiny shot glasses and a small cake with a candle for the birthday boy.

Decent food but how can you justify charging £4.20 for a pot of curry sauce? Probably costs about 10p to make. Fully taking advantage of people. Absolutely disgusting.

Not many traditional Chinese restaurants open anymore unfortunately but here is a great place I found that is local to my area! The food is so delicious 🤤 the staff/owner are lovely and easy to have a nice conversation with... There are toilets and bar here also 😁 highly recommend

Very nice restaurant inside and the menu looked great. However the food was way to salty. Didn’t enjoy the starter or main course at all. £65 down the drain.

Outstanding range of options and great service inside. Dim Sum selection is brilliant and the food portions are well sized. The beef rolls are amazing and we have had them several times. As for the vegetable chow mein. Always order from here for takeout too

We had a meal there tonight and I have to say customer service was very good however we were waiting for food for quite a while considering the restaurant was pretty much empty... food was ok but we went out in Cheadle Hulme few days ago and quality of food was way better. I thought we would give a go this one as we have never been before however my noodles with veg were a bit plain and dry. 3/5 stars because of the food.

Food took nearly an hour to arrive, it was busy, but if you can't cope with that amount of covers don't accept the booking. Food was nice, nothing special, lots of busy tables so enjoyed the atmosphere

Simply the best. Service is so friendly and personal, food quality excellent and crispy aromatic duck to die for. Value for money, yes extremely good. Ken has it right for his customers.

All dishes were very salty. Almost no vegetables in any of the three dishes we ordered. Rice was adequate, but barely warm. Noodles were OK. As a British expat this kind of food does not make me miss my original home. In my current home country I would have sent this back to the kitchen. Edit.... Nice deflection in the response. Not sure what is random about my review. Plenty of good reviews here, so clearly some people like this place. I don't, that's not random, it's a valid opinion. As for the owners request s in their deflection... This is a review on a specific restaurant and the meta data indicates takeaway, so irrelevant attempt to appear to care. Sure, I could identify the dishes but I'd say three dishes each with too much salt and almost no vegetables is indicative of the menu as a whole. If you like this kind of food trust the good reviews, but there are much better places nearby in my opinion.

Well we took my dad here for his birthday and was treat lovely. Staff with smiles on their faces, lovely food! It’s been along time since we went out for a Chinese and we all loved it. Only thing I would say is it is expensive but as a birthday treat I’m happy to pay Thank you!

Absolutely shocking, been here many times before, and it's usually great, however, first time for the buffet. It was the busiest we've ever seen it, but waited and waited and waited for the buffet to be replenished. Nothing that went together was replenished at the same time. We had a prolonged talk with the manager who took what we said on board. We only ended up paying for our drinks. Will go back, just not for the buffet.

Absolute rip off!! £59 for 2 starter and 2 mains .. Singapore vermicelli Worse I’ve ever had nothing in it except 5 prawns onions abd peppers!! Shocking defo not recommend!!

Always order too much food. The staff were amazing tonight and friendly as usual. To top it off, we got a call when we got home to say we left a jacket at our table. Such a great thing to do.

Came for Sunday lunchtime buffet which was delicious. Lots of choice; soup, starters, duck pancakes, and several main courses as well as a couple of deserts. The food was hot and topped up regularly. Would definitely return. Thank you.

An absolutely fantastic experience from start to finish. We went for Crispy Beef and OK Beef as mains with king prawn rice, then Nutella Spring Rolls and the signature sponge cake for dessert. It was perfect. The service was top notch too. Will definitely return P.S this was having had an excellent experience with their takeaway on New Year's Eve!

Apparently this is my Grandson's favourite restaurant and hence he wanted to celebrate his birthday here. We had baked a surprise cake for the occasion. The staff couldn't have been more obliging to make the evening special; balloon, candles, music, etc. The food was excellent too. Big thank you from us!

I really do not like writing negative reviews but I am so disappointed by my experience tonight. We have been going to this restaurant for many years and always loved the food and friendly staff. I made a reservation online for a table for two at 6pm and made a note to request a window seat. When we arrived I was told they did not have my reservation as they had been having technical difficulties with the site and messages were not getting through this week. Why did they not have a message on the site to this effect? We requested a table but could only have one in the other side of the restaurant that no one ever sits in. Therefore we chose to leave. Very upset and very disappointed.

Shame. Nice food but poor service. Ordered twice online and both times, after requesting no egg, our chicken fried rice arrived with egg in it. When we informed the restaurant, they did prepare another dish with no egg but by the time we received it, the rest of our food had gone cold. When we have informed the staff they just blamed the kitchen staff. Another thing which was odd is that both times, they have requested the wrong dish back and took it when dropping off the correct dish. For what you pay, you would expect better service.

WOW .. 1st visit yesterday for the buffet for our daughters birthday .. won’t be our last visit it was delicious ! hot fresh & dont think i’ll eat for a week .. really nice staff constantly about clearing & re stocking .. bluddy lovely

Such a disappointing meal. We had a fabulous meal here in mid-2022, so returned for my birthday meal on Saturday. The restaurant was heaving and we felt like we were in the way while waiting to be seated. The air conditioning made the restaurant absolutely freezing and uncomfortable. After ordering we waited over 30 minutes for our starters. It was the same story with the mains. One of our dishes was missing so was hastily thrown together in the kitchen and brought to us. The food was poor, greasy, overpriced and bland. We complained about one of the dishes because it was full of scraps of batter - looked like the chef had tipped the dregs of the fryer onto the dish. Very disappointed with the whole experience and sorry Peking Garden, but we won't be back.

Avoid! Waited over two hours for take away and it never arrived. No answer after multiple telephone calls.

Phenomenal food. All you can eat buffet on a Sunday for under £20 each. Really fresh food not sat in a slow cooker all day. Plenty of choice.

Restaurant was too cold Food wasn't nice. Service wasn't the best. Ordered tea for three people, charged for three and it came late after the food. well i had to go and ask for it, again after tiny tea pot was empty, I had to go ask for it again. It was literally two table. Us and one other couple table. Pricy for not authentic food. I wouldn't even blame if it's still good even though it might not be authentic but it's rubbish for normal asian. Soup was bad. Soup and Mapo tofu tasted the same. Mapo tofu was the worst I have had. Take away even might be better than that. Asparagus stirred fry was little asparagus and mainly mangetout and onions. Also asparagus were hard, more like roots than tips. Chicken had too much pepper and again it's the most okay ish out of all. seafood fried rice had tiny small frozen quality shrimps and that's all. Same for vermicelli. Taste wasn't great either. Steamed plain rice was the most okay, still a bit hard. I don't know why it even has 4.3. They didn't do a table check at all. Only when i asked for more hot water refill for tea (way after mid way of eating) they quickly asked if everything was okay for the sake of it... Toilet wasn't the cleanest. Also charged service charges for minimum service they provided. Pricy and small portion of bad taste food. Go to Manchester or Poyton for Tom Yum Thai food for Asian. Not worth it if you are looking for authentic food.

Ordered a takeaway - was advised would be ready in 30mins - arrived after 30mins and then sat and waited for an hour whilst people coming in and ordering takeaways were served before me. No clear logic to processing orders. Complete and utter waste of my time and completely unacceptable. Delay blamed on staff shortage but then be realistic with time or stop taking orders and at least have a management process in place. Incredibly frustrating experience that I won’t be repeating.

Ordered food at 6 on news years eve for 830. Turned up at 10. 7 hungry children!! When chased just plain lied about where they were up to. Lost 3 families business tonight. Sad as food good. Never again!

Staff are very nice and polite, ordered starters, mine turned up and my wife was 5mins after, mains was the same waited for mine to turn up and it was the wrong dish, so had to send it back.

Went for a meal yesterday evening, absolutely gorgeous food! Some of the absolute best chinise food I've had. Good service and friendly staff. We didn't book and still managed to be fitted in on arrival. It is a little pricey, but you get what you pay for. Will definitely be returning here again!

We were the only diners at about 3:30 pm - 4:15pm The room was so cold. The staff apologised and said" We have just put the heating on We had to sit in our outdoor clothes - Anoraks ! I took the temp - it was only 17 deg. We should have left I sent the empty plate and bowl back asking if they could be warmed up. Dont put hot food in a tepid bowl The soups was edible, but I've had many much tastier The Duck was 8/10 The sea bass with ginger and Spring onions, was very tasteless, 6/10 and the waitress justified this as being how sea bass should taste. I disagree Frankly as we were the only diners I expected much better for the £55 bill Others write how nice it is here. I wish it had been, but the 17 degrees didnt help. If you are going to turn the heat off during the afternoon, dont open the restaurant I

For me, the food here was lovely. The place is lovely and bright and the staff were all fantastic. My only gripe was being charged £4 for a small lime & soda water, which is very expensive. Great to have parking outside the restaurant.

✅Arrived quickly via Uber Eats ❎Salt & pepper ribs short of meat and grissly ❎Char siu chow mein - flavour was average and the pork was awful, mostly fat and grissle ❎Mongolian lamb was really unpleasant- extremely overwhelming flavour ❎Peking sauce was very watery

Slightly more pricey than our local but was fantastic. Really good delivery service, good portion sizes. Duck was fantastic. Food tasty. Would recommend.

We went for my dad's birthday . Tony finn .. there were 18 of us.. the Staff were so attentive and caterd for every need. We gave them a challenge but they were very patient and the evening was a dream.. dad had a fantastic...

Oh yes, you must the lamb in Mongolian sauce. Plenty of more standards but a lot of dishes I have not tried before.

Ordered a Saturday night takeaway which was the family treat for the week. Arrived at the restaurant & wasn’t served for 15 minutes due to staff constantly answering the phone & prioritising Uber eats delivery drivers/orders. It was clear the restaurant were operating at 100mph and not giving attention to detail. Got home to find a main meal missing & it took 15 minutes to get through to the restaurant to complain. Only solution, send a replacement meal out. Unhelpful at a 60-90 minute timescale. £50 wasted on a disjointed order. Wouldn’t use again
