Best Chinese place in the area! Love the salt and pepper chips they do! Staff are lovely! Food is amazing never had an issue with orders or anything! Highly recommend!

Takeaway for two, long wait but absolutely worth it.Prawn & tomato boiled rice absolutely wonderful, prawn curry fried rice really nice well done fortune i like to tell it as it is couldn't, fault it.

Rib had very little meat on them and too much batter. Special fried rice was bland at best and the salt and pepper mix was dry with no chillis or onion or even salt and pepper flavour. Awful, never again.

Gone down hill poor service and poor quality time for a change. They also accepted a card payment this evening so they can do it when they want to.

Great take away, their chicken toast is amazing. Noodles are too thin on the chow mein so I've stopped ordering it, everything else I've had is great.

This place is really local to me . I'd love to enjoy the food but i don't think it's very good. The chicken always has a strange texture and taste. Chips are always slightly raw. Staff are pleasant and very efficient . Only thing ive enjoyed is a portion of mushrooms.

Lovely Chinese, one of the best in Offerton

I used to get takeout from here years ago, went back as our new local was closed yesterday and it was truly terrible food. Everything even down to the prawn crackers were well below par. Hesitated in giving it to my dogs it was that bad.

Great food but no option to pay by card

This chippy use to be the best when mary was there. Very disappointed in my food tonight. Didnt even put in the food I ordered. And what I did get didnt taste the best. If i lived nearer i would of taken it all back. There shouldn't have people serving food if they dont no what there doing. And also rushing taking your order. Last time for me to get food from here.

used to be a good place, but now its disappointing portions and ever increasing prices. I do understand the pressures that all places are under, but this is a picture of a portion of chips that cost 2 quid! (none have been eaten yet!) not worth it.

Cost a Fortune the sign should say! Pudding chips & gravy for a quick tea they wanted nearly £6!! Came in a small tray & the gravy was like water!!

Great food & service love the place

Had a takeaway from here for the first time in a couple of years, never again. We had a variety of food, starters and main courses: Chicken toast....it was like eating solid lard with sesame seeds on top, threw it away. Seaweed....not crispy but soggy.threw it away Prawn crackers....good, ate them Chicken and pineapple...chicken was slimy and undercooked, threw away Noodles...ok, ate them Chow mein..tasteless, ate half. Beef green peppers and black bean sauce, acceptable. What has happened to this place, has it changed hands or is it an experimental night on a Thursday.

Great food and fantastic service

Been going to this Chinese for years... always good quality food and service, only downsides for me is no delivery service offered or on 3rd party ordering sites eg. Just Eat. There is also no card payment available, cash only which is slightly annoying if you just want to nip in for a quick something! Definitely recommend.

Probably the best chinese in the area.

The beef tastes like chewy veal, the egg fried rice was dry with no sign of egg and bland at that, the sweet n sour chicken and noodles was enjoyable thankfully!!

A really poor meal overall, I wish I could rate the food as average, but it was perhaps the worst Chinese food I’ve ever tasted, I fact I’d say it was the most boring takeaway I’ve ever had. The ribs were dry and tasteless, the beef in black sauce and spring onion was plain and watery, the sweet and sour pork was just dried up battered pieces of on their own with a separate carton of pink liquid with a piece of pineapple in it to pour over the shrivelled pork! The spring rolls and samosas were just like the ones you buy from the freezer cabinet at a supermarket and very distant from authentic Chinese ones. All in all it was extremely disappointing food and an experience I won’t be repeating there again.

Over 20 years been coming here and owner of Fortune Chinese restaurant chicken sweet corn soup and Chicken & Lemon Sauce with Egg Fried rice excellent.

This Chinese take away has been in Lisburne Lane for many years and has had mixed reviews during this time, we have had a couple of take away meals recently and we are very impressed with the quality of the food. A wider selection of goodies have recently been added in which the salt and pepper chicken and chips are excellent. My new favourite is Chicken & pineapple with cashew nuts but dont forget the hot and sour soup its delicious. I need to try more of the menu to see what i have been missing out on for many years, even the chips are good here.

My son went to get egg friend rice since he doesn't eat meat and found that it had chicken in it. That is terrible especially for people who are vegetarians and find meat in their meal. We haven't had anything from here for a while now but if they don't thoroughly clean the cooking equipment out then there is a problem

Bit bothered about the 'natural' bamboo fibre. Does BAM buy natural retted fibre, made in the same way as traditional linen by a company like Litrax? More usually by far, the term 'bamboo fibre' is used for viscose rayon whose base cellulose is from bamboo rather than wood pulp, with the same environmental hazards. In general, if there's no label to say otherwise, it's cheap rayon that's used.

I go hear regularly when visiting family it's amazing the staff are brilliant the food is better than 5 star restaurants

Have been using this excellent chip shop for more years than I care to remember. Always great service with a smile, the food is excellent and plenty of it at a reasonable price. We always phone our order through, give them a time when we want to collect and it's waiting for us when we get there. Lovely people, great service, must be one of the best in the north west.

Been a customer here for years and have spent the a fortune here but just recently, it's disgusting food. Such a same as it WAS amazing, now it's like eating plastic. No idea what's happened but seriously advise to go else where, such a shame.

Used to be a great place to go for your Chinese takeaway but seems to have gone down back, after being served lots of chip bits instead of chips, bland tasting chicken and mushroom and burnt rice ( didn't no you could burn rice).

Used to be a regular here, but a few wrong orders without correction. The chips are peeled, cut and fried fresh in house, which is nice to see. The food was generally nice, and quickly prepared.

Realy nice food will use it again.

Always a pleasure to order for collection in about 15mins. Big smiles from the Chinese staff. Very wide menu as well as traditional 'Fish n Chips'. Main road, parking in ALDI across road or outside if you're lucky. Average prices £12 two huge Chow Meins and Chop Suey. Not sit-in.

This place is amazing. I'm from the States where this cuisine tastes slightly different and we've really struggled to find a nice place where the food is fresh and FLAVORFUL. Yes, flavorful being in caps is necessary because there are some bland places out there folks. This spot is a little gem. Could not recommend more. Yay for being excited about Chinese again!

So amazing food it's the best Chinese food I had in the U.K.

What a hidden gem we found here. We were looking at somewhere else to eat when we found this Chinese takeaway and how happy we were to find it. The food is excellent and the staff are very friendly. We even got some extras, thanks very much. We will definitely be going back.

As our regular Chinese was closed I telephoned Fortune to place an order. I didn't have a take-away menu available so I requested what we usually have and the member of staff adapted my order to fit their menu. We went to collect the food at the agreed time but had to wait a while as they were very busy (A good sign !!). The food was lovely with the only issue being the missing prawn toast !! I don't know if we paid for this or not as I hadn't a menu to tot up the price but in the end it was no great shakes as the food was lovely and we had plenty !!! I have brought a menu home and will certainly use them again.

Head and shoulders above the rest if you lie in offerton you will frequent this regularly I little more expensive than most but well worth it
