No, my order was to take away. Alway pleasant staff, and food is top quality. We always enjoy the food from there. We travel to this Chinese restaurant as the ones in our area are nowhere near as good.

Used for the first time and food was good will use again - good portions and happy to change things around. Staff pleasant

I found an oval glass sequin thing in my food. I guess it fell off the woman's bracelet, or necklace, or earring that was cooking the food. The thing is I never mentioned it to them and I still buy meals from here. I suppose it's a 1 in a million thing. It's just a good job I chew my food before swallowing it, because that thing was about 1 inch long, 0.5 inch across and about 0.25 inch thick, with a sharp edge around it. Whatever it was, it was obviously meant to stay glued into whatever item of jewelry it fell from. What I always laugh about is, it was in one of their most expensive dishes "Singapore Vermicelli". Oh well. I know I could have made a big stink, but I could understand at the time, whoever cooked the meal had obviously just brushed their wrist or whatever on the pan and it fell in. Still, I'll never forget it, I mean what if a child swallowed that. It's unbelievable that it can end up in your food. This chippy has a high rating (4.6/5.0) on "Google Reviews". I must be the only person that had a sharp piece of glass in his food. Even so, I still rate it highly, because it's decent enough food for the cost. The only thing I didn't give 5 stars for was atmosphere because there isn't really one, I mean it's a chippy... is there meant to be? lol

Good chippy nice portions place is a bit dated now but satisfactory fave dish salt n pepper chips.

Tried here for the 1st time as our usual Chinese takeaway has gone downhill. Partner had salt + pepper ribs and said they were really meaty. Salt +pepper chicken was lovely too, not to spicy and special fried rice had plenty of meat and wasn't dry like it can be sometimes. All in all food was enjoyed by everyone and will definitely use again and staff very friendly. Would recommend.

Great Chinese and chippy, lots of options. Always speedy service best to ring if ordering alot to then collect, so not waiting outside too long. Salt and pepper chips are really tasty that we ordered along with other items. Good sized portions of food too.

This is a great local chippy. Whether you choose the classic fish & chips or a Chinese takeaway, the food is great and the service fast. Ring and order ahead of collection to avoid waiting or queuing outside.

What can I say about this place better than the recommendations I had to try the food.. looks just a regular place outside but serves restaurant quality food with very good service from start to finish… is busy on key times so booking ahead is recommended. Price for the food is very good.. No delivery service is the only downside..

The Food is consistently Good whether it be Chinese takeaway or regular chip shop food. The prices are good and the staff are very polite and friendly. Given the Current climate you feel very safe ordering here as the shop has seperate entry and exit doors, and the counter and collection area has plastic screen to Shield the staff and customers .Also the staff are always wearing face masks and gloves.

We went here for the first time, NEVER AGAIN.. The pies were soggy as if they had been microwaved.. Chips had been re-fried, so tasted of fat.. Gravy was tasteless... Awful food, Fish tasted of Chinese food.. So obviously been fried in dirty oil...soooo disappointed.

Today was the 1st time I was so disappointed with the fish it was tasteless and felt mushy

Great service and the food is excellent. Always order meals and they never disappoint. I find if I try another chippy for Chinese meals I’m disappointed. I move around fairly often and still drive to this chippy when I want a Chinese. Salt and pepper dishes are amazing. The chips are always a great portion size. The staff are attentive and helpful when it comes to describing what the dishes have. 100% recommend. Just wish it had an online order or accepted cards

I’ve had a good number of takeaways and generally the food is just ok, never exceptional. The Chinese meals are passable but never outstanding. Chips are always very good and a generous sized portion. Fish at one time were fine but have now become awful. Very thick chewy batter and overcooked, rendering the fish dry, shrunken and tasteless. Mushy peas are bland and need seasoning. The lady owner is a lovely person but sadly the food provided is not good enough and I shall not be returning.

This is a chippy we often use, if other local chippies are closed. It does a range of Chinese meals to takeaway which we have had in the past.I ordered chicken and chips with curry sauce. A large chicken breast with loads of meat all well cooked, a large portion of chip's golden brown decent enough. A claggy and heavy curry sauce.Good friendly service. They do not accept cards and only cash.

Went to this place because our regular fish and chip shop was not open.. Had 2 portions of fish and chips,and 1 portion of Chicken and chips. Slightly overcooked chips, reasonable portion decent portion of chicken breast could have done with being cooked for slightly longer. Greasy fish. Very heavy and over thick and glaggy curry sauce. Pleasant service, also do a range of chinese meals as well.

Food here is excellent. Only downfalls are they are not open Saturday lunch time. They open at 5 but don't get the chips until later as they are usually warm ups. They don't deliver but you can phone your order through.

Run of the mill Chinese takeaway but better than most in the surrounding neighbourhoods. Overall decent food.
