This has been a family favourite for many years. We couldn't recommend it more for authentic and very tasty Chinese food in a laid back Hong Kong style cafe space. We go here for any special occasions and even just for a quick bite at lunch or dinner tonight.

Now closed This restaurant appears to have lost its identity. It used to offer a great menu, but all our group could say today was ... It's "Ok". Before it was always "Fantastic". Original review Limited menu. Average dishes. A far cry from this once excellent restaurant.

It’s a real shame this used to be so good but unfortunately the staff are so rude, and abrupt. Tonight’s food was cold and the chicken curry was gloopy and just not very nice. The food isn’t amazing so won’t be in a rush to go back! Our previous family meal we spent £160 and collected then found all the chicken balls were raw inside 4 portions. We rang them and collected a new order while the other food was sitting at home. They didn’t even apologise.

Came here for lunch as I like Asian food. I've been to Kokoro many times before. However recently I've been disappointed. I opted for sweet and sour chicken and noodles. Unfortunately the chicken was so tough. It was lime chewing on old leather. As I write this my jaw is still aching. If that wasn't bad enough, the meal was not that flavoursome. I shall not be going back.

Tried the jjajangmien(짜장면), seafood jjambbong(해물짬뽕), 쇠고기부추잡채랑 꽃빵, 깐풍기, 탕수육. Jjajangmien was alright. I had been starving of Korean-Chinese dishes, especially this one, and it satisfied me enough. I had jjajangmien last year summer at Korea and that place was much better, but for a place in the UK, not bad. Jjambbong was much better, it was appropriately spicy with the hot seafood broth done good. Still, wouldn't call it an outstanding one, but nevertheless satisfying. 쇠고기부추잡채 with 꽃빵 was a good appetizer. It had been ages since I had this kind of dish and it was much better than I anticipated. The chives were cooked and evenly coated with the beef's sauce synergizing well. The steamed buns accompanied the beef and chives well, and they were indeed steaming when served. A recommendable side dish. 깐풍기 was okay, better than the 탕수육 which felt a little too chewy. Both were very average. Overall, a moderately good Korean-Chinese restaurant, it does its job in being somewhat authentic. The major issue I would mention are the portions compared to the prices. I have lived in the UK in the past and visited this place quite regularly with my family, frankly, the taste has degraded a little with the portions while prices rose. Of course inflation has happend since then, but I still consider the prices a little too excessive. Additionally, I recommend reserving a seat before eating at dinner times as we were unfortunately served at a cramped seat. If you're Korean living in the UK missing 중식, yeah this place is worth a visit. But if you are just a visiting Korean craving it, I would say it wouldn't be the best choice. For new comers, this place would be a good introduction, but definitely not the best it can get. Somewhat recommend.

We were staying at the Travelodge over the road & came across this Chinese as we were looking for somewhere to have dinner. Family of 6...X2 adults & X4 children. It was quiet & cosy in here & the atmosphere was lovely. The staff were very friendly & attentive. Chicken curry was delicious, salt & pepper chips were so tasty, chicken & pineapple was delish & the portion sizes were very generous indeed. We also ate chicken balls, spring rolls & they also served complimentary prawn crackers with a very tasty sweet & tangy sauce. We were very impressed that they had our drinks of choice...Bacardi white rum & fresh pineapple juice. Meal ended with some very cute fortune cookies! Such a lovely place to eat, lovely decor too & would highly recommend Seven Stars!! 🙂

First time we ordered we really enjoyed the food, decided to order from there gain and food was just not good atall. Crispy chilli shredded beef was all soggy and not crispy atall, ordered bbq ribs and got chops instead which didn't even taste great. Safe to say we won't order from here again.

We did not enjoy our visit here. The staff were not welcoming and helpful, The customer service here was appalling and rude. The buffet lunch was a limited choice and some of the dishes had been left standing on a hot plate and was congealed and horrible. A total waste of money. Would never return here

We were greeted by a friendly young woman who took our order. The food was average and luke warm. We were the only guests at this time. One member of staff was constantly coming out of the restaurant sitting on the next table to us while puffing away on her cigarette and goodness knows what she was smoking but it stank! We got mouthfuls of the horrible smoke all through our meal when she could have sat anywhere. We didn't got one smile or hello off this member of staff. The young waiter who brought our food out was unpleasant and just slammed our food down. The green tea was lovely and refreshing. On top of it all we were charged a £8.10 service charge, had we known this would happen we would never have eaten here.
