Kum Hong Chinese Restaurant & Take-away in Kingston upon Thames

Just had an amazing take away. The delivery was here in 40 minutes and was hot and very tasty . We will definitely be ordering again very soon 😋

Order through Uber eats. It took hour and a half. I’m pretty sure they didn’t even know about my order before I called. Food was horrible. The chicken balls in sweet chilli sauce were greasy and the sauce tasted like vinegar. Chicken with cashews was also really bad. Spring rolls were the same as the once on the Chinese isle in Island. Wouldn’t not recommend.

Low quallity food, this food was almost inedible, the consistency of the food was like chewing cardboard, it lacked flavour and texture. It’s the worst I’ve tasted.

We ordered our food through Deliveroo...and had to wait for almost two hours! As per food itself it was barely passable. This was our first and last order.

takeaway food awful and when ordering they not know their own menu! expensive, food bland, used to be so good but now changed owner & name (!) we will NOT be using again

Best Chinese in the Surbiton area. We have tried almost everywhere in delivery range. Been using these guys for the past couple of years. Great service. Great food.

We have used Kum Hong before it was a sole take away! Many moons ago it use to have a restaurant which was our go too! Now we use it and have done for five years as our go to Chinese! It’s hot and tasty and a great choice. Reasonable prices and we love the chef! A definite for us even over the Regent who seem to change hands a lot!

Average Chinese takeaway fare. Avoid the sesame prawn toast which was the absolute worst shrimp toast I’ve ever had in my life. Threw it out after one bite.

First time order for takeaway delivery. Food arrived on time and was piping hot. Good choice on menu. Very tasty meal.

Been using Kum Hong for around 10 years. They used to have a restaurant but now only the takeaway. But the food continues to be good and tasty. It is a small family run take away and the staff are very friendly. I always use them as the food has always been good. 👍😀🍜

Good chinese takeaway restaurant - massive menu - and they don't cook in nut oils - so great for people with allergies. Friendly staff. Good prices.

Ordered £30 worth of food, food was okay although portions were small and char su pork had no vegetables was simply meat. Have no idea why my the inside of my pancake roll was grey and pure grease. Won't be ordering again.

Wasn't expecting much but was surprised as the staff were very pleasant and my meal was really tasty.

I tend to drop in on my way home for a takeaway snack, invariably a couple of their delightful pancake rolls. They're jam packed with a good balance between vegetables and and meat. Best I've come across. Latterly I've opted for a main course and so far I've not been disappointed. Both quality and quantity cannot be faulted and all at a very reasonable price. My only criticism would be I personally prefer my Singapore Chow Mien to be slightly more spiced. That's it!

The food was very tasty with superb wok flavour but not greasy at all. The lady was very friendly and helpful as we were not familiar with the menu. It was an excellent Chinese food experience. Will go again definitely!

Ordered a takeaway on Saturday night for 6 people. Food was plentyful and tasty. Not greasy at all! None of them set the world on fire for being unique or outstanding, but it was a nice enough meal and a good price.

Great takeaway - the service is very quick and the prices are very good. It is always busy in there! The restaurant has been shut for a few years but the takeaway still exists and is of good quality.

My family has used this takeaway since it first opened 40 years ago and we've never had bad service. The lady who takes the order knows me by name, even if I don't go there for a few months. Sadly the restaurant closed about 2 years ago, what a shame

I have always had a good meal here, and also takeaways. The service is good, the food is generally good.

The food here is decent traditional chinese takeaway fayre, and the set meals for one are good value. I've been here a few times when I've got home late and needed hot food quickly. The best thing, and the reason I'm writing this review, is the service. The staff are polite, warm and make an effort - thanks go to them for the free Chinese calendar, that was a nice touch.

Disgraceful food. Most totally inedible. The soup and duck were nice but everything else was thrown away. We complained. They offered us food to the value of £13- we had spent £42. I wish there had been a review to warn me before I went there
