If you’re looking for a solo dining place, this is it, they have tables facing the window for single diners. I came here to try the black bean noodles, the noodles had a perfect texture, not too soft and the plenty black bean sauce - tasted slightly charred. I’d like there to be more meat, only had small slices very minuscule (there’s a seafood variation of it, so maybe go for that if you want more variety in your toppings). They also gave side dishes of some kimchi and radish for free, cups and water is on the table for you to self serve. You pay at the counter at the end, so just go up to the counter when you’re ready. Already pretty busy when I came even though they just opened. This place gave a family and home cook vibe, brilliant pricing.

I ate it well with the fur that came with it, which I don't know what it was.

The fried pork sweet sour dish had a foul smell and was inedible. I ordered the Jjajang Jjamppong set for two. I thought the price was too expensive, but the amount of noodles was huge. The taste seems to be average compared to Korea, and I think it's pretty good in the UK. However, not all of the sweet and sour pork, but about half of it has a fishy smell? Enjoy it? It's gone. I ordered Jjajang Jjambbong small set. I thought it was quite expensive but the amount was a lot. Taste was alright. But fre pieces of the sweet sour pork smells really bad.

These are so authentic and tasty! Jjajang myun so good, so does sweet and sour. And I forgot the name, another dish was also fantastic, it was stuffed with mushroom. By the way Jjamponh is quite spicy. Hope I could go back again.

Food quality is so-so, but the whole concept is very confused, "Genghis Khan Chinese Korean" in fact it is just a normal Korean restaurant, nothing Mongolian or even Chinese. In fact I was expecting it to be Chinese-Korean fusion, but no it is straight Korean and not very good at that. Food price is not too high but drink price very high, £5.50 for small bottle of beer. Food quite gloopy.

It wasn't bad! The sweet and sour pork was absolutely the best. I ordered the Jjamppong Jajangmyeon Sweet and Sour Pork set, and the Jjamppong soup was very refreshing. First I felt very sad. Because Genghis khan was one of my favourite restaurant in the last 20 years. I had dinner there more than 300 times. And gave it 5 stars. Also I recommended it to my friends and my guests. But today I wasn't proud of the quality of the food being served. The crispy spicy chicken wasn't crispy- it was soggy, tough and tasteless. The seafood jjagang wasn't freshly cooked. It was looked like it was boiled instead of it being stir fried. I think it was overcooked and it tasted fishy. My wife is crazy about seafood, but even she couldn't finish the food halfway. I don't know what happened main chef? Maybe I will visit one more time. If food gets back to good as before then I will change my review.

Update March 2022: no still haven’t changed my mind did come here to give it another try but I still don’t enjoy it it’s mainly large bowl of noodles a lot of noodles and flavour wise it’s not great neither so how is it possible it’s so popular? Hold on a second how this place got such a good rating? I mean portion sizes are alright but the content is meh. Hardly any meat. Don’t get me wrong it’s not that I only love meat but it should be at least balanced and if you need a microscope to find some meat in your dish than something is wrong (did I order vegetarian?) I was not happy after my first visit. I might give them another try let’s see

Seem promising upon entering the store; but once sat down on the their wobbly tables and lack of service. It wasnt a good start. What also puzzles me is the 10% service charge. There was literally NO SERVICE, its was slow and took over 20min to bring some kimchi, raddish and Yukon Chicken dish. Going back to 10%, the whole service was done via phone with no interaction from the staff; it does not justify the service charge. It's been over 40mins and I still havnt been served my black bean noodles yet..

21년 6월 12일 브레이크 타임 끝나고 17시 오픈직후에 갔습니다. 짜장면은 나름 맛있었는데 탕수육은 점심때 튀기고 남은 거 썼는지 너무 단단했고 비린내 나는 것도 있어서 아이들이 거의 먹지를 못했네요. 멀리 살아서 몇시간 차타고 갔는데 명성에 비해 아쉽다는 생각을 하게되었습니다. 다음번에는 오픈직후 말고 피크타임 즈음해서 방문해보려고 합니다. 사장님 옛날 맛 되돌려 주세요.

We have been participating in American Express Small Shop campaign to support local small businesses. This shop was included in the list so we went there to have lunch. But they did not accept payment by Amex. There was a clear signage at the cashier that Amex card would not be accepted. Glad we had some cash... With regards to food, the lunch set menu we had was just average.

So I am sadly rating the restaurant as poor as I ended up in an awkward position of having to order an alternative dish after our order was placed. The waiter came back to tell me that my dish was not available and when I picked 2 others, those were not available either - perhaps an overlap in ingredients that were out of stock. As a result I ended up choosing a dish that I did not enjoy - some sort of black bean noodle which was too saucy and where I did not enjoy the meat. The only thing I did enjoy was the fried chicken starter (see photo), which was nice but I still cannot rate the experience as good overall as the main dish put me off. The meal was great value though due to the government eat out to help out scheme at the time - which might have also explained the large queue of people outside when we arrived. In no rush to head back as there are many other Korean restaurant in the area, that I have not tried. Our waiter was as friendly and as this was during the covid times, they wore a mask. Tables were not spaced apart / socially distanced much at all, but I have not really seen this happen in London restaurants during the pandemic.

Food was mediocre with many of the dishes being quite greasy. The sweet & sour pork was good though! Severely understaffed for lunchtime rush - there was just one member staff. Place was packed with normal place settings, which is fine but in 2020, it wasn't COVID secure.

An absolute dissapointment after they started delivery service. Accurate time of delivery however, the food quality is absolute worst. Tangsuyuk is hard as rock and all other foods are just too pathetic. Most importantly, what is the reason that portion size is way smaller (half of what used to be) than before? I get it is a hard times in restaurant business, but same price for a half portion with worst food quality is simply a rip off. I wouldnt consider eating at this place again.

면이 짧고 찰진게없고, 소화도 안되고 진짜.. 3년전이랑 너무 다르네요. 지난번에 2번이나 갔는데 헬프아웃할때나 안할때나 둘다 맛대가리없음. 면좀 바꿔주세요 차라리 짬,짜같은 면말고 탕수육이나 그런게 훨나았어요(고기도 딱딱하거나 질기긴했지만...) 요새 중국집 많이생기는거 같던데 노력좀 하셔야할듯

I ordered a large takeaway of Tangsuyuk, Kangpunggi and Palboche spending more than a 100 pounds for a special family evening, but we re extremely disappointed with the very low quality of food, particularly Tangsuyuk, which was very hard, severely overcooked ( i suspect they just heated up some old food), impossible to chew and tasteless. Got a very bad craving for korean and went here! Loved the food, thank you. 감사합니다

Let me start by saying that the only thing that saved this place from 1 star is the bill, which was ridiculously cheap. Every time I go to this place, I always had the same complaint. That rude, short korean lady who doesn't even understand what it means to be a waitress. She would always reply in short grunts and had a complete lack of hospitality, something as a former waiter myself value very highly. This particular visit was therefore no exception. When I complained about not having extra seafood in my 삼선짬뽕 which I compared with other regular 짬뽕. I told her this, and she then proceeded to argue that there was extra seafood, although there was not. Let me get on to the rest of the service in general. The food arrived around 30-35 minutes after we ordered but they didn't come at the same time. So, I was left twiddling my thumbs while the rest of my party was told to eat (by me, because I didn't want their food getting cold.) When the noodles finally did arrive, they were so overcooked, they looked like udon noodles. As I said, the bill is the ONLY thing that saved this restaurant from the 1 star rating.

Awesome and tasty food, I love the atmosphere the place has, and the workers were friendly. Will definitely come back in the future.
