The best restaurants serving Chinese food in East Hertfordshire East of England

We went for lunch with family for the first time and we loved it. The food was flavorful, fresh ingredients and lots of choices. Some dishes felt a bit too sweet but we didn’t mind that too much because everything was tasty. We will definitely come again and order delivery as well.

been here twice in last month. can't fault the food or service. both times they were busy but did not have to wait for food or drinks. staff really friendly.

I agree with the review below the food is nice but poxy little portions I couldn’t believe how small the plates of food that come up but 4 chicken balls between 2 people what a joke also the prices on the menu outside the door are not the same as the menu inside we spent £80 and not a free prawn cracker in sight

Sadly, after trying a few of my favorite dishes, the food is not as good. They call the rice dishes "fried" but they aren't. It just looks and tastes liked boiled, lukewarm rice.

Gourmet Oriental used to be my favorite Chinese Restaurant as they offered a buffet all you can eat menu for years. The price of that would go up over time but that’s fine, what restaurant hasn’t done that? However, they have now stopped the buffet model and have switched to a standard menu. It’s such a shame but I appreciate that business have to adapt. Thank you Gourmet Oriental for all the memories. If they were to adopt the buffet menu again I would definitely go back.

Ordered takeaway online and paid. Then received an email saying that they were too busy to take new orders. Upon calling them they said they are closed. Still not received refund. Do not take peoples money for a service you cannot provide. Not to mention false advertising stating that they were open but actually not. Severely disappointing service which resulted in my family not getting food that evening.

Never will order from them again it disgusting a waste of £36.. the beef friend rices tasted funcky and the beef was chewy. The chips had been cooked again and the pancake roll I orderd came as mini spring rolls and beef curry was disgusting and chicken ball was dry n chewy

A fair amount of bad reviews but mostly when I've ordered from here they've been pretty good!! Prices fairly high but portions are good. 🥬

Vegan options are incredible. Can’t recommend enough. Chicken satay skewers and the chicken chow mein are incredible!! So incredible to have vegan chow mein. Have vegan crispy duck

Unfortunately Peking Palace was closed today being a Sunday and Golden city had been leaflet dropping our area recently clearly they need business because the locals obviously avoid this place.
