RAW CHICKEN !!! Placed an order for £46 and got a load of slimey slop, food is inedible, staff are rude not willing to refund I ordered through Deliveroo and have opened an investigation I will also be contacting the council as this place should not be allowed to serve the public food. DO NOT EAT ANY FOOD FROM HERE!!! Steer well clear

My special prep request for onions and bean sprouts in my chow mien was ignored. The duck spring rolls were GROSS. So cheap not fresh barely any duck meat. Surprisingly pale special fried rice. It confuses me that people actually que for this place. People will legit eat anything. Only reason I didn’t ask for a discount is because its was very cheap. Very cheap is always a bad sign.

Ordered via Deliveroo, delivery was on time with what was advertised. The food arrived hot and tasted really fresh. We would definitely order again.

Me and my partner ordered a Chinese from this restaurant on Sunday night, we have satay chicken, special fried noodles, chicken n cashew, spring rolls and salt n pepper chips. Waking up during this night with stomach pains and now have food poising, from Sunday 28th April now till Tuesday 30th we are both still bed bound and can’t move this will be the worst Chinese I’ve ever eaten ( PLEASE STAY AWAY! )

My go to place for takeaway via Deliveroo now. Love the food and reliability. Would be nice to have more delivery tracking but that's just a minor thing. Main thing is the food is excellent. Top marks.

Beef chow mein was full of tender tasty beef, king prawn curry delicious and full of prawns, egg fried rice all cooked as I requested. Don’t understand the negative reviews as my meal was excellent. Delivery faster than estimated. Certainly revisit and definitely recommended. Good luck

Can't comment on delivery as we always collect but never had any issues, foods good (and my vegan friend loves the options) and our go-to Chinese

Really bad. Spent over £70. Food turned up cold. 1 dish missing. Phoned to complain and was told we had to wait another 40 mins for the missing dish. Poor food. Poor service.

Was hesitant because of the reviews but thought why not. Called up around 9:30pm Saturday, man on the phone was respectful and pleasant. Our delivery arrived 15-20mins after ordering. Food was perfect temp, and all taste amazing, we got an all vegan meal and it's the best vegan Chinese I have had! Get the vegan salt and petter chilli chicken, it's amazing!! Also got the vegan sweet and sour, Singapore noodle vegan, mushroom rice vegan and vegan chicken curry. Portions are good.

The food was not very good worst Chinese I've eaten.

That is the worst chinese I've ever ordered. Half of it was cold. Turnt up so late. Far too salty seaweed. Bland special fried rice, bland smoked chicken, the crispy shredded beef was definitely recooked and soggy and genuinely inedible. Special noodles were bland, cold and horrible. Satay sauce was a bit gloopy looking but genuinely quite nice. 40 quid for nice fortune cookies and nice satay sauce

Over all everything was good. We had a lot of food and all of it was food and tastey. I collected the food from the place so didn't have to deal with any delivery issues like some other comments. All in it was a good experience For me atleast

One of the dishes we ordered didn’t turn up and had to be resent out. The tastiest thing we had was the free fortune cookie 🥠. Felt nauseous after eating from here. Spent £40 but they’d have to pay me that to eat their food again. Rough

Best Chinese! Fantastic vegan options which are REALLY good!

Spent £20 on 3 items, one of which was a starter and the other was soup. Delivery was fast which was good but otherwise pretty disappointed with the meal. If they charged say £12 for it I wouldn't mind but if I'm paying this much for a takeaway I want it to have some flavour at a minimum.

Wanted to go to ocean palace and I really enjoyed my food from there but they sadly were not answering the phone, so we decided to come here as my brother had ordered one and said it was nice. We called up as I don’t like the veg in my noodles they said it would be an hour, fine I’m used to waiting that was 40 minutes so that was good, we then got the food and one of the dishes was missing so ofc I phoned up and she said oh we’re too busy to send some out to u but u could get a free portion next time u order which I felt they wouldn’t remember, I said any other options and she said Wdym and I said any chance of getting the money back and she said oh I don’t think we can do refunds let me go check, she said ok I can give u a refund then said let me call u back. We waited an hour and I called back and said oh I wrote it down and forgot because yeh, not on don’t go back I’m now waiting for it to go through. It’s more like a number 2!!!

Ordered online via GoGetters. Food arrived hot with a courteous driver. The stir fried beef, chicken satay and sweet and sour chicken balls were excellent. The prawn crackers were fresh and spring rolls tasty. Look forward to ordering again sometime.

Only ordered from here as V&V in Bengeo now close on Monday apparently. Just over £40 for the exact same meal as we order from v&v for £32. Was not anywhere near as nice. Wont go back.

Ordered with Deliveroo and nearly 1.5 hours had passed without hearing anything. They don’t deliver with Deliveroo drivers but their own so had to call the restaurant for an update. Big surprise; the phone was off the hook for 30 minutes. When we finally got through, we were kept on hold hearing them argue with a customer about their own order that hadn’t arrived. Avoid at all costs. Whatever you do, don’t order direct with them. Can’t imagine you’d get a refund very quickly, if at all. Customer service was unsurprisingly shocking! Stick with V&V in Bengeo!

Liars - said they tried to deliver order twice whilst we have been watching the ring doorbell no driver near the house. They hung up on me too when I was trying to ask where the food was after waiting for nearly two hours, said my contact number was incorrect but it isn’t. Scammers!

Ordered last night, order delayed, called to find out when it was coming. Staff were rude & unhelpful. Cancelled the order. A real shame as we had ordered previously with no issues.

Very nice takeaway. Food is always hot and the crispy items are crispy. The wait never seems to be that long which is good. The Seaweed is nice which seems to be a problem at a lot of places I've been to recently. The mixed starters is good value for money as well.

Can't comment on the wider menu as went for a quick light bite. Pretty bog standard stuff but I doubt deviation from the standard menu is something easily accommodated here. Looks like they do delivery with just eat and parking nearby is an option for collection (I had no issues as parked directly outside in the bay). Order was completed very quickly, and the premises looked spotless.

I did not receive the food, the delivery man deceived us. The restaurant doesn't care. Be very careful, your delivery man works on uber and other platforms. The restaurant knows this and when it has a problem, it disconnects from Uber. Bad service and no food.

I haven't received the delivery. I called the restaurant and they said they are not responsible.

Tried a few weeks ago and it was ok... we needed a quick meal last night so ordered a collection it was ready quick enough some would say worrlying quick! They would be right the standard of the food we ordered was awful most of it went in the bin wish it all had to be honest just under £40 down the drain....not good enough guys

Except for the mix up with house numbers and me having my mobile on silent, the food was excellent and still optimal temperature even though the poor driver waited for about 15 mins before I realised the restaurant had called me three times! Highly recommendable !

The food for me is really good I order dry food and not fried but the rice, roast pork and ribs are really good, however I got charged twice for one of my orders … I did call and it was refunded quite quickly… now been waiting over 2 hours for my food tonight… called them and somehow the order got missed … crazy really as had quite a few flyers from them trying to get more business but best they concentrate on the customers they have

Been waiting over 3 hours and still no food told me it was being delivered over an hour ago and nothing. They won't even answer the phone. Terrible way to run a business

Food never arrived!! Called 3 times and they said it was on its way. Paid online so money was taken and then phone line went off the hook so could not contact them. Do not use them!

Chinese takeaways in Hertford are a bit hit and miss, but this is definitely a hit. An expansive menu, generous portions and easy to order on the Big Foodie app. The crispy chilli beef was a highlight - they use some kind of chilli garlic jam to finish the dish and it was a game changer. So pleased we tried it!

Lovely staff with quick service. Loads more Chinese choices since the menu change and suitable for vegetarians. Nice chips, good value. We recommend!

Took a while to get through as they are obviously busy. Food arrived in about half an hour. Very tasty and good sized portions too. Nice touch getting a few extras thrown in. Will definitely use again.
