Don't ask for a takeaway on a Saturday night. You'll be told an hour wait, only to be told 1 hour 45 minutes later that they don't have your order. And then expect you to wait while they then make it. Safe to say I just walked out. Joke of a restaurant.

Had a family birthday meal on Saturday night for 11 of us and the service and food in this restaurant is exceptional. The best Chinese food I’ve ever eaten, I would recommend it over and over again. Staff are really friendly as well.

The food was superb there were 6 of us we had the egg rice, chicken with mushrooms, sizzling chicken, pork noodles seaweed, prawn toast spring rolls and ribs one thing more than one item on the starter needs to be provided for each person 2 per person would of been ample. That is the only downside if any. Very polite place run like a tight ship. Highly recommended No accessible toilet though incase it was needed

THE MAN WAS REALLY RUDE. So disappointed in the service. And the way we were treated. We came in and asked nicely for a table and he was hostile towards us, looked at us with disgust and proceeded to shoo us away with the claims that they were full. People behind us came in and he asked them if they had a table. They did not, but he lead them to a table regardless This for me was blatant discrimination. If you’re black. Don’t go!

We always enjoy family meals here, the food is great and the staff are friendly. The only downside is the lack of gluten free options but the food that is gluten free is delicious.

Food is great, the waiting staff wait around you sometimes or check on you too often which I find really distracting and the place is LOUD.

I've always loved this place. Food was great, came out very quickly, but we felt extremely rushed from the moment we sat down. We asked for a desert menu but were told 'only icecream, no fritters because they take too long to cook'. So we didn't get a desert menu and no choice. Waiting staff leant right on us to clean the table, also stood on my in-laws foot, no acknowledgement. Bill was rushed over although we hadn't asked for it. We only had time for 1 drink each so after feeling they needed us out we left and went to the pub over the road.

This was a good quality Chinese meal to celebrate with family. Everything tasted freshly prepared and the restaurant is light and airy inside...and they do HK style crispy noodles!! Great veg options too.

Really good Chinese restaurant, I was disappointed with one of my dishes, but that was my mistake in ordering it. One of the dishes arrived very late, but generally the service was excellent.

The phone operator was extremely rude and it was difficult to get through. They should invest in a few telephone lines. Great food.

We were rather disappointed. It’s a few years since we have been here and it’s not the food we remember. Tepid, very little meat in main portions . Edible but lack lustre. Very ordinary!

This has been our favourite Chinese since the one in Thorley changed owners and became terrible in the last few months Unfortunately, the last few times we used the Peking, it hasn't been good tonight's food was the last straw 😕 greasy, burnt food, no crackers. And a piece of plastic in the noodles, If you have changed your chef, you need to change them again.

Fabulous food. Great portions and menu. Just try it for yourself! I went back two weeks ago and had the worst service ever. I gave 5 stars previously but amending. We had a table to 7pm at 6.15pm we had paid for food and was chatting. We were asked to leave by the old lady who was rude and sharp. The normal waitress was a delight as usual. Sorry, but you don't treat customers this way if you want repeat business.

Peking palace consistently provides fabulous Chinese food of a quality you would expect from London's best restaurants. Have been going there for many years and will continue to do so for many more to come. We have been as a family, date night, large groups of friends and they always deliver great service.

Was so looking forward to our celebration special meal...set meal c...starters came up within 5 minutes! Ribs were terrible no meat an horrible taste, chicken satay dry an overcooked, spring rolls hardly had any filling, seaweed an 2 triangles of sesame toast were ok.Duck was overcooked dry an hardly any meat.Main meal the prawn dish had 2 prawns Each!! ,chicken in black bean sauce was the nasty mass produced frozen rubbery chicken that curled up. Beef an onions an egg rice were ok..portions were small.At no point did the staff ask if our food was OK ( no Wonder! ). Service was OK but won't be using again so disappointed with the food.

Only had takeaways so far and would love the eat in at some time in the future as they food is wonderful and quite reasonably priced. Lovely bright and clean decor, which gives the restaurant a classy feel.

Food very nice tonight staff polite and was busy as usual .Please look up how to serve a Pimms because a shot of Pimms , topped up with lemonade with a sice of lemon is not what I expected for £5.50 .

The menu offers a wide variety of delicious and mouthwatering, dishes, best enjoyed when shared. We found the food to be flavorful and freshly-prepared-- I personally enjoyed the sizzling five spice beef. The staff provides an excellent service. They made sure to come around to check on our experience often, and were warm and thoughtful. The food is exquisite and reasonably priced, and the atmosphere is brilliant. Highly recommended!

Absolutely excellent! The food was probably the best I have had in a Chinese restaurant. Service was friendly & efficient without ever feeling rushed. The waiting staff were particularly helpful to the vegan members of our party & could answer every question asked. All this at a very reasonable cost. Highly recommend.

If you haven't had a "proper" traditional Chinese meal, then you will enjoy the food, the restaurant and the service. For me personally, it was European Chinese food, hence the 3* rating.

We had a starter each & two dishes each for main meal(so six different dishes total) & every one was a winner. The restaurant is very clean indeed & the staff very attentive. We would recommend this establishment to everyone wanting a reasonably priced meal out and good food.

Was taken here for a birthday dinner. Good social distancing, polite, helpful staff. We went as group of 3 and shared all dishes. 4 starters, 1 rice dish, 2 veg dishes and 3 sizzling dishes...1 lamb, 1 fish and 1 beef. All were cooked to perfection, meat really tender. Would highly recommend.

Excellent local Chinese, superb quality food at a reasonable price and staff were great. They don't deliver though, eat in or takeaway only as far as I could tell. Would recommend going though, worth the trip.

Have been using peeking palace recently as tried during lockdown and loved. We now use them for our take away Chinese. Great food highly recommend.

Visited here today. First couple in the restaurant. Followed then by three other tables. We were all seated in the same area even though the restaurant was empty. My wife asked to move to a quieter area which they said was ok but we were safe where they seated us. After we moved no member of staff came near us. Very disappointed after 30 years of loyal custom.

I live abroad and usually on my visits to my mother near-by, we treat ourselves to a meal at the Peking Palace. This time we ordered a take-away. Several of the dishes were bland, smothered in a thick sauce, oily and lacking in inspiration. The fried rice had only a whiff of egg in it with nothing else added but oil. The bean spouts seemed out of a tin. However to be fair, the crispy duck in pancakes was good - up to the standard we had come to expect from them. When I returned to complain a few days later they tried to tell me it was my fault and that I had reheated the food in a microwave, which I had not done. They wouldn't give me any refund even though I had the dishes that were unacceptable with me. They finally conceded to offering a discount on the next meal. To say the least, I am not planning on eating there again. Not only was the food not up to par but the customer service was appalling and offensive without apologies or consideration that perhaps the food actually wasn't very good! Sorry Peking Palace! We have some good memories from there over the years but this episode was completely unacceptable.

My wife and I have been eating here for many years. The staff are very attentive and the food is great.

GREAT FOOD but SERVICE IS APPALLING. We have had a number of takeaways from here and the food has always been very good. However, we decided to eat in for the first time and the customer service is terrible. Some staff are very unfriendly and blunt. Also they make up the rules as they go along for the eat out to help out, not including children and add a COMPULSORY (in their words not mine) 10% service charge to all bills, with no prior notice. Definitely will not be coming here again for a sit down meal but takeaway is worth it as the food is good. Would score the food 5 stars and service 1 star, felt generous giving an overall 3. Real shame that the service lets down the quality of the food.

Ordered a takeaway recently. It was amazing. Big portions and so tasty. Was also ready for us to collect so no hanging around. We felt safe entering the restaurant and collecting the meal. Covid rules were met with hand sanitiser on the counter, screens and social distancing rules. Will certainly order again. And soon too...

Ate here last night and it was very well organised. Sanitizer stations were good and every other table was being used. Half capacity for a Saturday night but felt so good to eat out again. Well done the Peking Palace. Food excellent as always.

Given the countries problems, it's nice that The Peking Palace is providing a Take-Away service that is still as good as the last time. Good food, friendly service with a smile! Well Done!
