The best restaurants serving Chinese food in England

Honestly, I’m disappointed tonight I have traveled and had this before but different food. It’s very bland , no taste , no salt and overall I am disappointed!

It's been a while since I've ordered from the Silver Star Restaurant and I just wanted to declare that I am quite disappointed as I never expected to receive spoiled banana in my dessert order (when I ate a couple of bites of the dessert I had to spit it out and to look at what I was eating as well as I was shocked at the results). The food was good, the delivery was on point but the dessert disappointed me the most. It's good to enjoy a meal but when there's use of spoiled fruits in the dessert, it just makes everything else tastes bad. Thank you very much for your service and understanding but unfortunately I don't have the slightest idea whether I will be ordering from your restaurant again Silver Star. I'm truly sorry for the bad review but I have to be honest with myself. P. S. "Staff and owners of Silver Star Restaurant, try and keep in mind don't serve what you would not eat; what I mean is: if you wouldn't eat spoiled food etc don't serve it because if you continue to do so you will lose alot of customers for your lack of consideration towards your newly and regular customers due to some category of false advertisement with some of your dishes which puts a bad taste and bad memory to mind of your customers who suffer from your lack of consideration". As you treat your body as a temple don't you think that it's best to do the same for all your customers and the more good reviews the best chances of increase income right (it's like two sides of a coin - there's heads and there's tails; things could either go good or bad and it all depends on your customers reviews). very nice food , great choice on the menu , particularly recommend the beef curry and the sweet and sour chicken balls . friendly staff good service

Really disappointed, we waited for an hour and a half for food. When it came is wasn't that nice, we didn't enjoy the food at all

Absolutely shocking place spoken to like a bit of rubbish then to be told my order wasn’t even with them but yet had taken the payment

Gran tofu salteado. Muy fresco Chef obligatorio y servicio alegre. Porciones generosas. Buena mezcla de verduras allí y perfectamente sazonada. Arroz bien cocido. Solo 6 cada uno y rodajas de naranja de cortesía en nuestra comida para llevar. Nos sentamos en una puerta a la vuelta de la esquina y realmente disfrutamos de esta comida improvisada antes del ballet en Sadlers Wells a solo un par de cientos de años más adelante. Pide comida vegana y te acomodarán.

Permanecer en el área por negocios y escéptico eligió Mo's para comer. Qué equivocado ser escéptico. La primera noche que comí allí la comida era tan buena que volví la noche siguiente. La comida es diferente, bellamente especiada y degustación fresca. Cant lo recomienda lo suficientemente alto. Sí, es básico, pero la comida es excelente y una excelente relación calidad-precio. ¡Intentalo!

Thought I’d give an up to date review as the previous years paint a poor picture. Have always had a lovely meal from wok and go. Food is always hot on arrival and my order is never wrong. Phone service is very polite and efficient and thd drivers are also very polite and prompt. Five star review from our house for the last few years. Keep up the great service. Thanks 👍

Safe to say I will never attend this place again. Honestly I don’t know where to start.the chicken balls were dripping in grease undercooked and soggy the batter slid of the chicken balls or should I say cubes nasty chicken . The spring rolls were undercooked with no filling what so ever and the egg fried rice was solid like a brick and was definitely not fresh it had took the mould to the rat eaten box it came in I wouldn’t recommend and wouldn’t even feed it to my dogs !! .

Always top class food and piping hot (collection). Can’t believe how busy they get,phone is constantly in use. Recommend

Fantastic Chinese would recommend to all food is brilliant its cheap compared to other places very efficient service never had a bad meal definitely 10/10

This is a traditional neighbourhood Chinese take-away, which seems (from the number of cooks at work in the kitchen of an evening) to be doing a fair amount of business. Some dishes are better than others, but I would particularly recommend (from extensive and repeated sampling) the grilled pork dumplings, the spring rolls, the house special chow mein and the crispy aromatic duck pancakes. The food (which comes in large helpings) is produced at speed and the front-of-house is very friendly.

We booked for a friend's special birthday dinner, having traveled to London for the weekend to celebrate. We were a table of four booked at 7:45 and the confirmation email said we had the table for 2hours. In reality as Selfridges closes at 9pm we had a little over an hour. Unfortunately no one told us this until we were delivered our bill while we were eating our desserts at 8:45. This was after our dessert order was taken while we were halfway through our mains and our desserts bring brought to our table while my friend, who’s birthday it was, was still eating her main meal! I did contact Adesse after the event to express our dissatisfaction but have been given a half apology and the offer of desserts and drinks on a return trip. Not really much use to me after a rushed and therefore ruined celebration and for a non-local. I was also told I should have said something at the time. I would of, if only we hadn’t been ushered out practically while we were still eating desserts and finishing the one round of drinks we managed to order. I’m surprised someone didn’t offer to doggy bag the lot for us just to get rid.

Great value for the chicken in batter with fried rice. Curry and mushrooms really nice. Delivered on time, hot with free prawn crackers. A lovely meal .
