This is a traditional neighbourhood Chinese take-away, which seems (from the number of cooks at work in the kitchen of an evening) to be doing a fair amount of business. Some dishes are better than others, but I would particularly recommend (from extensive and repeated sampling) the grilled pork dumplings, the spring rolls, the house special chow mein and the crispy aromatic duck pancakes. The food (which comes in large helpings) is produced at speed and the front-of-house is very friendly.

If you enjoyed chinese takeaway back in the day, then this is the place for you. No frills, just consistently excellent food at good value, cooked freshly. Our standard order of mouth watering salt and chill ribs, special fried rice, noodles and of course our guilty pleasure sweet- sour chicken balls (the perfect hangover cure) has never let us down.

Purchased Sweet & Sour chicken & Rice along with Chili Beef & Plain Rice. For starter Prawn Toast. Sweet & Sour chicken was mostly a horrible thick dough, the sweet and sour chicken sauce had no taste, The Beef chili was so tame it had no bite and the beef was dry and tough. All in all tasteless, poor quality food... Disappointing experience. Avoid this place at all costs.

We'd been a customer of a Chinese takeaway for the last 12 years and unfortunately they have closed down, so we needed to find another takeaway chinese and thought we would try New Sweet n Sour. What a big mistake that was. I'm sorry to say the majority of the food was awful. The deep fried shredded beef looked terrible and tasted the same as it looked. The egg fried rice and noodles were greasy and had too much soy sauce, and the pork chow mein was a big disappointment as all the pieces of pork were inedible as full of fat. Crispy chicken balls were greasy and mini spring rolls too. Me and my family were only able to eat a couple of mouthful of this food and the only part of our takeaway that we were able to eat were the chips. Apart from the chips we had to throw all the food away and were left feeling nauseous and quite hungry after. We will not be ordering again from this takeaway

New Sweet and Sour ha estado allí para siempre.

Sweet and Sour is really the best Chinese take away in the area. I tried plenty different dishes and everything is good.

Excellent food but the time it took to receive it was a little disappointing. The quality of the meat was good, but wasn't much there. I would rate this chinese 7.5/10 Thank you :)

Our regular Chinese takeaway really let me down last night with a desperately poor meal. The Lemon Chicken was tough and the sauce (rapidly congealing) given to us in a separate container, while the chilli beef was undercooked and slimy. I could see the kitchen was busy, but serving up such sub-standard fare was really disappointing as normally the team do an excellent meal.
