The best restaurants serving British food in Saundersfoot Pembrokeshire West Wales

November 2024 Im back .. first time Ive sampled the new menu from previously being Coast. The food was on point, lovely Welsh rarebit with Ham hock to start along with bread and stuffing butter which was lovely. The mains of falafel burger with a side of very tasty red cabbage and Tenderstem was stunning. I had the 12oz ribeye which was a lovely cut and cooked to perfection. The side of chips were well seasoned and plenty of them. The deserts of plum crumble and sticky toffee with mango sorbet was different in taste but complemented each other perfectly. The wines were stunning, albeit a little pricey but part of the experience, I'd like to have seen more French wines but on the whole a good selection, although the wine description needs a little work.. I.e. full bodied aromatic, fruity doesn't distinguish where it's sweet, medium or dry which I'd personally like to see in the description to help identify the body of the wine. Can't wait to go back and sample the next options available. We're going to the Grove in 2 weeks so look forward to that. Diolch 👌🏼 2023 So back again for another visit and in fairness it didnt disappoint the food in the 7 course tasting menu was fabulous, so many different tates and in some cases experiences that id never had before. My only issue that was noticable this time was the lack of attentive staff. Normally when the wine or water needs topping the staff were always on hand to top up as required whilst doing the rounds.. unfortunately this didnt happen on any occasion so for me the service wasnt as good or on point as it used to be. 2021 As always fantastic food and service from the coast team. Always look forward to an evening of being spoilt and these guys always deliver. Fresh food, fantastic tastes especially when having the tasting menu. Not 100% on the thyme icecream though !! See you all again very soon......

The worst thing was …. Had I known dogs were allowed in the restaurant… I would not have gone. I had a table booked at 8 pm and I had to eat up and go or carry on sneezing with allergies Shame as food and wine was good

Impeccable service and relaxed atmosphere. Nice and busy for a dark quiet January evening. We will definitely visit again when we are back in Saundersfoot.

Warm and welcoming on a very cold day. Coffees were excellent and the food looked great with very generous bacon and breakfast rolls. Would definitely return when next in the area. 👍

We visited a few times while here on holiday. good food and company. We watched the rugby so had breakfast and then a couple of evenings with an evening meal

We live in the village. Keen to support local business ... but sorry... Awful. The food was awful! Dry and old. They did offer an alternative but it was SO awful that I was happy to leave. Never again.

Booked a table at 6pm for my fathers 85th birthday. Arrived at 5.55pm stood in restaurant to be told our table wasn't ready yet and to sit in the bar and have a drink . Tables were all pre laid and at that point in time we were the only customers in the entire restaurant. Went to bar, no staff , waited until a staff member came along asked for 2 gin and tonics and was told he couldn't serve me. Another member of staff came along and served us. At this point our table was ready. Service was slow and the staff seem very half hearted about serving you , almost as though they couldn't be bothered. Food was very well presented but dessert (Xmas pudding ) was just luke warm. A plate with happy birthday and 3 macaroons was presented at the end of the meal which was a nice touch. All in all a bit disappointing for a meal that came to almost £160 Ior 3 people I expected better.

I was excited to try the kiosk after visiting the area on holiday. Sadly it didn’t live up to expectations. The server was neither welcoming nor friendly. The sandwiches I ordered were due to come with coleslaw and a side salad. But when I opened the box neither were inside. I’m not very assertive so it took a lot for me to go back in and explain to the server. He said he’d run out of coleslaw but could do a side salad. No apology or hadn’t mentioned this when I placed my order. I wouldn’t have bothered paying over £16 for just two sandwiches. Sadly I didn’t have the confidence to ask for my money back as my anxiety got the better of me, so walked away. The sandwiches were tasty and the bread fresh, but we won’t be going back I’m afraid. Really disappointed. Everywhere else we’ve been had been so friendly with good customer service.

My boyfriend and I went here for Sunday Lunch. It was amazing, the staff were so friendly, and welcoming. We really enjoyed, the food was cooked to perfection, and desserts were delicious. Thank you all for a lovely meal. We will be back again. 100/10

Came here for chips. After I paid I was asked if it is okay if my chips were fried in beef dripping, I said no as I'm a vegetarian (and there was no sign that the chips weren't vegetarian). The lady behind the counter did not tell my friend who was in line before me (also a vegetarian) that they were beef dripping ones, so if I hadn't have been told she would have eaten meat unknowingly. We then waited 18 mins of the '10 mins' wait she told us for our vegetarian chips. And then when they arrived we went to sit down with other customers and were told it was 'takeaway only and no site down' they then only kicked us out and not the other customers sitting down. I would not go back here again. Fish is also cooked in beef dripping so avoid it if you are veggie or pesceterian. Chef was happy to do our veggie chips, but the lady behind the counter was rude and seemed offended that I didn't want her beef chips

Don’t eat there. We had Home made lasagna and Chicken cheese and bacon melt both horrendous, no pasta in the lasagna never had to chew cheese before!! The chicken dry bacon like cardboard and uncooked chips. Beer was good tho . probably the worst meal out ever Had

After ordering, we waited 50 minutes for the food to come out. It was very disappointing. The burgers were £14 each and very basic. The fish goujons basket meal stated that it came with 4 goujons but we only had 2. With drinks we paid £75 for 5 of us and it wasn’t worth it. We’d have been better off going to McDonald’s.
