The best restaurants serving British food in Whitland Carmarthenshire West Wales

What a wonderful find, a little family run restaurant. We ordered two large pizzas and had ice cream for desert which was all fairly priced. Everything is home made, cooked and served by the hosts, what a great team! We were made to feel very welcome during our visit. Well behaved dogs are allowed at the venue, we had ours and she just relaxed under the large table. There are some board and card games for you to play whilst you wait for your food. A nice atmosphere, would go again and highly recommend. They also do take away orders. There are other things to do onsite, as we arrived early we took an hours walk around the woodland.

After a funneral in Narberth, the family invited us to The Alpha Inn for afternoon tea. The room was warm and cosy with wood fires. The tables were laid with China and freshly made sandwiches and cakes. The staff were excellent, making sure fresh pots of tea and coffee were brought to the table throughout. The service was slow. Coffee weak Salad was giant bowl of tasteless lettuce with a piece of what looked like carpet fluff in. tiny bits of cumberandpeppers. Falafel shop brought. Pavlova was a meringue nest frozen berry's defrosted and mushy with scoop of ice cream and artificial cream on top. Not a Pavlova! I also went end Nov. And had better service. But the chicken peri peri burger was dry and tasteless. My sister had scampi complete with 2 x chicken nuggets in! Good job she's not pescatarian.

Excellent Sunday lunch very friendly staff would definitely recommend although booking is advisable as it's a very popular place. Will definitely be back when in the area. Thank you (Alexandra's grandparents ❤)
