My god you have to try the pulled pork burger it is fantastic. The homemade chips are epic and the staff are lovely too! I’m here for a few days so will try more food. Just had another meal and you have to try the loaded chips the homemade curry sauce is superb. Spicy and fruity a really great mix.

The pub unfortunately is not one i would recommend, me and some of my girlfriends visited, a husband free weekend so we decided to travel from stroud and stay in narberth for the weekend, on the way there i remembered a pub i visited a few years back with my husband so we popped in at around 7pm on a Thursday night. After me and the girls ordered food you could cut the air in the small pub from the over used chip fat and burnt smell coming most likely from the burgers being cooked, would be ideal if they shut the kitchen door when cooking so that guests don’t get smoked out, especially as a few of us suffer from asthma. There is also the familiar sound of the microwave ding after ordering food so can only assume that it is store bought, atleast that’s what it tasted like 🥴 understandable that this is a predominantly locals pub and perhaps not the place for holiday goers to come, but they do make you feel abit out of place, plus this is not my first visit, i have been over the past 10 years, can’t say much has changed except for the wall colour… I would like to come back and see that this pub has perhaps improved, i understand it’s a small business and there are so many struggles they have to face but also sometimes it helps to make changes to suit customers and to draw them in rather than keep it the same it’s always been, it would be nice to come into this pub and see a smiling bar tender and attentive service, with fresh cooked food, they have a music night on the sunday which is very enjoyable i must admit and i will be one to recommend that day to any of my friends when back home, but that’s it.

Food was nice, except for chicken nuggets very oily, reasonable prices, burgers were good, staff very friendly.

Such a lush local find ! We were recommended to pop in as we were staying in a pod only 5 mins up the road. What a catch !! Amazing atmosphere, proper local and let’s just say those dishes I highly recomend !

Recommend by friends that stayed at wwgp! Was not disappointed although we drove past at first ok! Pleasantly surprised, lovely little pub with village atmosphere. Food was lovely, kids eat free was lovely surprise, and good portion sizes!Found a lovely memorial park little walk away that entertained my 2 year old. Would highly recommend.

A hidden gem. The owners of the pub were welcoming and even though the pub was full, they accommodated us. There’s a good selection of food available which is all cooked fresh and the prices are reasonable in today’s current climate. The pub allows dogs and there seems to be deals on at least daily. We will definitely be visiting again.

After reading the feedback we decided to book a table only to be told “they don’t reserve tables.. but just turn up and something will free up “ so we went and saw a free table. But were told it was booked ..!! But if we wanted there was space outside.. so we put our jackets on and sat outside. I asked for “cask ale” but was brought “carling and cider” Ok we’ll order food thinking things would get better.. they didn’t… The “big burgers” weren’t really big .. tasted ok but very ordinary… especially considering the price .. We won’t be going back …

Amazing little pub. The owner is so friendly and welcoming and the freshly cooked food was divine. We were very grateful for the kids eat free option at the time and the portions were huge! We loved it all but highly recommend the freshly made onion rings and southern fried chicken. Well worth a visit if you are in the area, it's a little hidden gem. Top tip for parents there is a beautiful park at the end left side of the car park through the lane.

Steve and his team went out of their way to cater for the diverse dietary needs/ preferences of our group - gluten and starch free and vegan, so quite tricky! The service provided was very warm and welcoming, food and atmosphere were lovely.

We popped here whilst on holiday with our Dalmatian. Unfortunately, Steve wasn’t doing food as the whole place was rammed with a private party. We searched for somewhere else without any joy, so decided to head back to the plash for one last drink before going back to our hut. Steve, amazingly, and soooo kindly, said he would find us somewhere to sit, and he would cook for us. The food was amazing, The locals were amazing, Steve went out of his way to cater for us and we couldn’t have been pleased with the food. It was delicious!! We were supposed to go back the next evening to listen to a local singer but unfortunately were held up somewhere else. We were gutted, so wanted to put this on here in the hope that others will go and visit this tremendously friendly, happy, village pub with superb food!!! Thank you Steve, you were amazing!! Xxk

Nice friendly staff, and locals, simple fare, nice day to sit in the garden at the back brought our food order to us, nice little boozer, of the beaten track if you want something rural not hectic, opens at 5pm.

Lovely atmosphere and great food. Stayed in the Brewery Cottage belonging to the pub. Everything you needed there and an added bonus, the pub a few steps away. Would definitely recommend them both.

Love this place. Everything a pub should be, great landlord who couldn't do more to be accommodating, excellent and well kept ales, superb pub grub. My two little girls love coming here as the place is so welcoming. We'll done Steve and team, long may it continue.

We visited for the quiz and were told "Nope we're full" which is absolutely fine but were then made to feel extremely uncomfortable. Stood at the bar having our drinks, other people were offered seats/stools but not my disabled mum? Unwelcoming and terrible atmosphere!

First visit on our last night on holiday, staff were lovely and very attentive, excellent food and made to feel very welcome. Will definitely visit again next holiday. Thank you.

We have just moved to the area and have visited this pub on quite a few occasions and love it. The food is super tasty. The staff are so friendly. We really recommend visiting the Plash. They are also dog friendly and there is a lovely walk you can do by the river prior to sitting down and eating their tasty food. Thank you for making us so welcome :)

The usual friendly service, tasty bbq food as well as pizza and chips. Great choice of locally brewed beers and ciders too.

My husband and I (and extended family) feel this Pub is brilliant, inexpensive and just better than good... Only one downer is the Curry, not good but the Bugers are fantastic 12 out of 10 👍.. And after eating, down the short lane is a wonderful sweet children's park, so take a ball and be ready to stay there for some time.. All in all, well worth a visit 👍 x

We just had our first take away meal from the Plash Inn from the Mother's day menu. There was plenty for both of us and it was delicious. The beef was tender too.

Great meal here tonight, had to be the best fish and chips I have had in a long time! Great service and COVID precautions, staff always careful around customers and service was excellent. Will definitely be returning on here when we can. Excellent value and excellent food. Very much recommended.

Excellent food! Went here a few months ago with family, definitely the best steak we’ve had for a while! All dishes were lovely and clean plates all round. We will be back!! :)

Staying in the area for a few days with the 3 grandchildren, we wanted some good food after an afternoon at the Panto (oh yes we did!). We were not disappointed. For the first time in a long time we managed to get all 3 children to completely finish their meals.....not a scrap was left. Pepperoni pizza, Burger & Chicken nuggets all polished off. I had the veggie burger which tasted delicious, and the coleslaw was amazing. Everything seemed “home-cooked”, tasty & fresh. The chips were top notch. Service was spot on, with multiple visits to check everything was OK, and whether we needed drinks etc. A great choice, highly recommended.

Excellent food with plenty of vegan options

I'm a vegan so finding somewhere decent around here is hard so when I discovered this lovely lil Inn that had four vegan dinner options and two vegan pudding options (great range considering its smaller size of establishment) I knew we had to try it out! And we were not disappointed! The chips are probably the nicest I've everrrrr had, like from anywhere, I'd go back just for them alone lol! Even went to the effort of homemade vegan coleslaw which to me is a godsend cos I love the stuff! And the homemade blackberry and vanilla pudding was delicious and I couldn't believe how light and airy it was and that it was homemade it seemed far too good!The staff were so so lovely as well and the whole ambience of the establishment was fantastic- I can't wait to return again! :)Gutted I didn't take a photo but I was too enthralled in chowing down their delicious munch! ;p

Went for a Friday evening meal as staying with family in the village. We ate from the menu and the specials board and they were all lovely. The food was lovely and freshly cooked. The young waitress was very pleasant and helpful. A great evening, thank you.

Hardly the "warm welcome" they advertise on their website, and food was a mixed bag. Caramel apple pie was very good, but the rest was disappointing. One thing worth mentioning was the service, it really was excellent. The young waiter was dedicated and very personable, and made the evening. Overall we won't rush to go there again.

This is "my" pub. I have never been to this pub before. And yet the people at the bar chatted to us as if we had. Thank you Christine we felt really at home here. Lovely food, wine and "Butty Bach".

Wanted a dog friendly pub that served proper food - so many other pubs were saving the same meals, all with chips - and the Plash Inn certainly fitted the bill. Nice country pub, no airs and graces with good value, delicious food. My calamari was very good but definitely recommend the jambalaya, really tasty.

Can’t review inn as couldn’t find. Pinpointed it using map and sat nav. Nothing to say the building we thought it was was an inn. Name on entrance matched address but to say it was the inn. Gave up and went elsewhere and had a lovely meal

Food to suit everyone, they portions are good and the quality excellent, you won't find fancy food on the menu but there will be some thing for everyone. The service is excellent, we were asked more than once if everything was OK.The whole pub is very dog friendly, our dog was allowed to sit under our table in the eating area, other customers were quiet and we noticed with pleasure that this is country pub that you can easily take children to without worrying about the behaviour of other customers.

Great food, beer, cinapny, and environment!

We wish our local pub was this good, but then perhaps we would be eating out far too often! Lovely old bar with dining area. Beer garden was wonderful on a hot evening. We wanted somewhere to meet friends on holiday in the area. I had been to the Plash many times back in 2003, and was pleased to see it hasn’t lost its character. The menu on the website looked fantastic and the prices very good. All of the staff were friendly and professional. A reasonable wait for our food choices to be served - so definitely not just microwaved, which is great. Tasty and fresh food, not over cooked or too salty. An excellent desserts menu too. We returned to the beer garden after our meal. Will definitely be back.

Just been for a meal at The Plash Inn. Lovely friendly welcome to us and our puppy. The food was lovely I had calamari for stater and my fiancé had the halumi. I then had fish and chips and my fiancé had roast lamb, vegetables and new potatoes. Friendly service and the food was excellent. It is our last night on holiday and if we do choose to return the area we will definitely return. Anyone doing research before a holiday about the area, or looking for a place to eat whilst on holiday I urge you to go The Plash Inn. You won’t regret it.

I went here for an evening meal with the familly, and we thoroughly enjoyed the whole experience. The beer is very good and all three of us really enjoyed our meals. We will come again.

We had dinner at the Inn and it was excellent as well as a great value! Staff was friendly and checked in with us several times during our meal. We were pleasantly surprised by the tasty meal and good beer we had at the Plash Inn. Would highly recommend them if you are in the area.

We visited The Plash last Sunday for a Sunday lunch and it did not disappoint. We had a choice of 3 meats, there were roast potatoes on the plate and then FRESH vegetables and plenty of gravy. It was hot, fresh and tasty and good value for money.

We were recommended to the Plash Inn by the hosts at Stones Throw Bed & Breakfast. This is a lovely little local pub there may only be a few tables that can be seated at one time but this doesn't take anything away from the pub. The food was cooked fresh and catered for any changes we needed with the items on the menu.

After reading previous reviews on the Plash Inn, my family and I called in for dinner and were not disappointed. We received a warm welcome from The landlady. The food was fresh and well cooked. Would highly recommend.

A very welcoming pub. They allow you to take dogs in too. The meals are reasonable and they serve local cider Latchygors 8% ! Lovely atmosphere.

Only went in for a beer, nice greeting, barman John really welcoming. Beers good and menu looks nice, going back tomorrow to try the steak and a pint, and a starter............... Went back for a 7 oclock reservation had hallumi, bacon and caraamised red onion chutney, followd by steak and pint,,,, All very lovely and good price. Beware it gets busy book if you can

A little gem! Food, service and atmosphere all great. We were made to feel very welcome. Great homemade food, (the coleslaw was particularly good!) All plates cleared. Very good value for money. We very much enjoyed the Tuesday night ‘session music’. Would highly recommend and we’re definitely coming back.

Had sunday lunch here for mothers day, lovely little pub with very friendly staff. Loved the location and the interior it was very warm and friendly. Food was excellent and will definitely be making another visit very soon.

One of the poorest, most amateurish meals I have ever been presented with. Some of the food items were cold and the fried egg was way overly runny. We will not be eating there again. But the beer was good.

Great little country pub excellent

Very friendly place, as we entered we were greeted by the staff, our drinks were taken straight away and we were shown to our table.Service was very efficient and helpful with the menu. The food was delicious and was very prompt in coming to us. We are so please we have booked in for sunday lunch.

After my depressing visit to McCoys BBQ I tried this local pub/restaurant. The food was very tasty and the steak special was exceedingly good value for money and was very well cooked.

A lovely small village pub, great staff, real homely feel, open fire, piano, A lot of the beer is brewed on the premises, when you buy peanuts you don't get a bag you get a cup full for a £1. Looking forward to going again.

Lovely village pub, walking distance from where we were staying. Land lady made us feel very welcome. Served great local gins and beer. Food was great, can recommend the calamari.

This lovely village pub is situated in rural village just off the A40. Set in most beautiful countryside, the approach is down a leafy lane. The pub has a good range of beers and wines. This is not a gastro pub. However the menu is home cooked and is very good value. Try the steak special 8oz Rump steak with echoes and salad plus a pint or glass of wine £10.

Great food defiantly recommend it

Arrived without booking to this cosy pub and were lucky there was a spare table for us. After a bit of a mix up with the starters I had an extremely nice steak and kidney pie with wonderful mash whilst Nicola had a veggie burger with some extra perl las cheese - a Welsh blue cheese. My rhubarb and cherry slice for dessert was awesome and Nick's orange and chocolate mousse was beautiful. Also offered a good little range of gins and a folk type trio also turned up and played us some interesting old songs. Footpath just behind the pub leads to a small stream (River Taf) and we just caught dusk and watched lots of bats foraging up and down the watercourse.
