The best restaurants in Whitland Carmarthenshire West Wales

What a wonderful find, a little family run restaurant. We ordered two large pizzas and had ice cream for desert which was all fairly priced. Everything is home made, cooked and served by the hosts, what a great team! We were made to feel very welcome during our visit. Well behaved dogs are allowed at the venue, we had ours and she just relaxed under the large table. There are some board and card games for you to play whilst you wait for your food. A nice atmosphere, would go again and highly recommend. They also do take away orders. There are other things to do onsite, as we arrived early we took an hours walk around the woodland.

After a funneral in Narberth, the family invited us to The Alpha Inn for afternoon tea. The room was warm and cosy with wood fires. The tables were laid with China and freshly made sandwiches and cakes. The staff were excellent, making sure fresh pots of tea and coffee were brought to the table throughout. Worst breakfast I have eaten. Sausage like leather, beans a congealed mess, toast not good, egg taste less bacon ok

We stayed at a local glamping pod farm and the Plash Inn was in recommendations. We were a little hesitant but thought we'd give it a go. We are so glad we did, we aren't big foodies but we're blown away by the quality of the food and generous portions. I had the battered haddock and my partner had the gammon. The meal was so tasty and reasonably priced. The service was outstanding. We would recommend this pub to anyone and wouldn't hesitate returning.

Ordered loaded chips , chips taken out of fryer, boxed & placed in warmer, then waited 25min for toppings to be prepared . Meaning chips only luke warm, tasty after microwave warm-up

We returned to the Roadhouse again for some great food and a welcoming atmosphere, having been here several times before on field trips to West Wales. It is so conveniently located, and has plenty of parking. The staff are always freindly. We have used it for family gatherings and reunions. I only wish we had discovered it years ago.

My wife & I went to Jabajak’s for Valentines this year & from the warm, friendly welcome we received to the relaxed feeling throughout the night. The food from starters to desserts were amazing, best food my wife & I have had. We would highly recommend Jabajaks & most definitely will be back. Thank you to Steve, Jackie & staff for making our valentines that extra special.

Please stop knocking on my door! I haven’t ordered food from you!! The time I did order food from you I waited 50mins and eventually had to collect it myself. The irony.

Very good choice of beers. They serve Cruzcampo which I really like so happy with that. Four friends had food after a few beers Fast service, no painful wait- about 15 minutes which was great for a relaxed evening. I had the home made lasagne with the usual chips snd salad. The lasagne was definitely home made and very nice. The curry half and half was decent without being outstanding, sort of regular pub served curry in a good sized portion. The scampi was very good and a decent portion too. All in all very good value. We wondered why there were quite a lot if under 10s in the pub on a Saturday night....the answer, a kids menu for just £1 Our kids are grown now but it's good to see a pub offering such an affordable deal and getting families out together.

Tried yet another Chinese from here.. Always order s&s Cantonese..chicken and just loads of cucumber and tomatoes. Looked like a salad.( no onions,carrots or pineapple)
