Whitland Chinese Takeaway in Carmarthenshire

Arrived on our holiday and as its tradition to have fish and chips on our first night Whitland Chinese Takeaway was recommended by a resident. It was cooked freshly and quickly. Delicious 😋 Only thing to know in advance is that it's cash only.

Rude. Mumbling under mask and waving his hands. They were busy, I asked is it okay if I walk down to the shop. If it was going to be an issue you could’ve just said no and I would’ve waited outside. Just made something I find difficult- busy loud environments- worse.

Beware . second complaint of being sent home with luke warm food . I even told the husband to remind them that last time we had to heat the food up when he got home . As a chef I know the dangers of serving cold reheated rice . Just a matter of time before someone gets food poisoning

Quick and pleasant service. Excellent food.

We usually love coming here but as a vegetarian, I am mortified to find some crispy beef in my vegetable chow mein. Due to this, we will not be returning.

Ordered the mushrooms in garlic sauce which was horrible. Vegetables were not fresh, incredibly salty and I didn’t eat it. Others seemed happy with their food though.

We were on holiday and the food was as good as our Chinese at home, excellent, we will use it again next time we are there. Quick and good service.

Food is good.... bloke on the door is a rude, abrupt wet wipe .... nope point in ordering your food for 20mins etc because its never ready and you have to wait every time

Absolutely disgusting, all our dishes tasted the same.. Satay completely devoid of peanuts which is the main ingredient. Duck was fatty I had to spit most of it out . The worst Chinese takeaway Ive ever had. Save your money. So disappointing. I'd rather go hungry.

Nice food. Short on sauce in the chicken curry though. Would give 5 stars if there was more sauce. Will go back there.

Not to impressed with this, all tastes the same

Average tasting food was my fauvorite in the area , now they have reduced the portion sizes by nearly half to what you used to have and well overpriced , and the food quality has gone down rapidly ,iwont be calling again to be ripped off

If I could give no stars I would I went for a fish and chips the fish was clearly not cooked and niether where the chips when I went to get another the greeted me with hostility and aggression they are rude and clearly cannot cook fish and chips would not recommend to anyone.

Stayed for a week and used the Whitl and just once, a little pricey, but the food was reasonable and we had 2 Curries and it hit the spot.

Always a lovely chow mein and friendly owners.

I love the food here it only takes 1 or 2 minutes for it to get to you I'm sure you will like it

Worst fish and chips ever !! Chinese food is great but their fish and chips was awful !! Orderd my self chicken nuggets and chips expecting actual peices of real chicken in batter like I have had from many other fish and chip shops instead I got processed chicken nuggets like you would buy in Iceland !! Shocking !! My friends also orderd fish and chips and the fish was so greasy it was dripping on their plates and the chips where undercooked so much so they were hard and yellow inside, will not be going back (for the fish and chips) and would not recommend !
