The best restaurants serving British food in Pontllanfraith Caerphilly South Wales

Used to come here for Sunday lunch all the time. And it was fab They were closed for a while so stopped but went a few weeks ago. Very disappointed. We were seated next to the snooker table. Why when the rest of the place was empty. There was a very small dish of veg to feed four of us. The tureen wasn’t even full. Our plates looked bare as there wasn’t enough to go around. It was 12 noon so it wasn’t as if they were running out. Very poor value for money. I left hungry Will not be going there again.

We had a lovely evening. Food, entertainment and staff were great. We hope the entertainment is going to be a regular occurrence.

Absolutely stunning Sunday lunch here. Everything was cooked perfect. Would 100% recommend and we will definitely be back soon. Thank you ☺️

Lovely Public House situated at the top of the Sirhowey Valley. I called in to enjoy a cider in their fabulous beer garden,while on a bike ride. Think I might make this a regular watering hole when cycling this route, as only 5 miles from home. Friendly staff and food looked lovely. Would highly recommended

I had my hen do here the other night and can,t praise staff enough the buffet they put on was excellent nothing was to much trouble everything was clean and tidy and myself and my guests had an amazing time .will visit again .
