The best restaurants serving British food in South Wales

We had an evening meal at this restaurant. The food was superb. Lovely menu. The restaurant was comfortable and had a rustic feel to it. Can't speak highly enough of the waiter he was extremely kind to us. Would definitely go there again.

This is the best place to go for lunch a cuppa, the loveliest people you will ever meet so friendly and kind and welcoming I love going here and will continue going here 😊

Best Sunday Lunch around. My number 1 requirement always met. THEY SERVE THE FOOD HOT. A tad snug inside these premises but nice real ales and a good variety of top notch food. Booking is advised.

This place was recommended to us so we called in and have to say got to be the the best breakfast we've had 5 star and deserves every one gonna be our regular breakfast

Found by accident really when looking for site, with hard standing!!!! Near friends in Pontypool. Dale and his father were very very welcoming. Facilities great and very clean. EHU was a bonus, especially in the winter months. Was made very welcome in the nights we went into the pub. Hopefully they will serve food again. Fully understand difficult at the moment as Dale suffering with poorly foot bless him. Would only like to suggest time on and time off due to the very narrow road in, especially for a caravan. Picked up an afternoon cream tea for my parent’s wedding anniversary. Very good quality and value for money.

What a fabulous coffee shop in the middle of our local town. My husband and myself sat in the window, and talked about what a real gem it is. The atmosphere is good, the coffee is amazing and the staff are really attentive. Keep doing what you are doing. We love it.

Called into the Bethel Chapel Cafe before watching the rugby match at Ponty. We had a really good and filling breakfast for a very reasonable price. The chapel itself is undergoing a sympathetic restoration and your custom will help this important work. Good food, interesting venue and brilliant friendly staff. Ideal for walkers and cyclists or just a walk around Ponty.

Visito aquí a menudo y hay una razón por la que salí en un día ventoso para caminar los 10 minutos allí. Las mujeres encantadoras que trabajan allí claramente tienen una pasión y orgullo por la deliciosa comida saludable. Hecho para sentirme bienvenido tan pronto como entro, me dan los especiales de hoy y ofrezco una degustación de deliciosa sopa de champiñones. Me decanté por una envoltura italiana y pastinaca y pastel de jengibre, ambos deliciosos y cuidadosamente preparados. ¡Recomendaría esta pequeña joya a cualquiera!

I stopped at this CAFE on a really long bike ride and the staff were really friendly, it was that typical Welsh hospitality. Only had a coffee and a fizzy pop but would absolutely recommend anybody else to come here on their bike rides. There was ample seating outside and you could easily see your bike through the window when you went inside to order. Thanks 😊

Had Sunday lunch here , absolutely fantastic Best Sunday lunch for a long long time Plenty to go around , nothing was too much trouble Gravy was absolutely amazing Meat was tender and cooked to perfection Was a meal for a birthday , and the table had a happy birthday banner on it, which we didn’t even ask for , so a very welcoming touch Can’t wait to go back !!

Picked up a 5 scoop party bowl to take home to share with the family which was devoured in no time! Ice-rtainly will be coming back!

Este es un lugar pequeño que elegimos porque fue cerca de nuestro hotel y nos queríamos sólo una comida ligera. Tuvimos pizza muy buena. El lugar está limpio y barato, y el propietario es muy atento y servicial. Él estaba muy preocupado de que disfrutamos de una buena comida, así que hicieron sugerencias y prefirió ajustar el menú.
