The Homestead Cafe Brynmawr in Blaenau Gwent

I stopped at this CAFE on a really long bike ride and the staff were really friendly, it was that typical Welsh hospitality. Only had a coffee and a fizzy pop but would absolutely recommend anybody else to come here on their bike rides. There was ample seating outside and you could easily see your bike through the window when you went inside to order. Thanks 😊

From outside it doesn't look like much, inside is nicer, but you don't come here for the decor. You come for the community love and the great simple food and drinks. This place is the community heart. Folk come here for a cuppa and a chat. The food might look simple but it's all made on site. Nothing deep frozen and micro waved here ! This is the real Maccoy ! Prices are more than reasonable. And young Tom behind the bar makes one of the best cups of tea I've had in a long time ! No teabag dumped in a mug here.... This is a real teapot place ! I highly recommend.

Lovely staff, cannot do enough for you. Good selection of food at very reasonable prices. Good wholesome food in basic surroundings but great value.

Very friendly service, corned beef pasty is an excellent choice if you want something warm to eat. And the fruit cake is delicious! Well worth a visit if you're in Brynmawr.

If you are ever in the area of Brynmawr and looking for a place to eat and just chill, I would definitely suggest homestead it's my preferred cafe on Brynmawr a truly friendly environment both Paul and leanne are great owners and care about the community and thier customers. I honestly don't think I've ever had a bad meal here. I would recommend it 100%

All staff are happy to help and are very helpful. Food and service is always top notch and very quick. Takeaway is also available, would recommend to anyone

This is a proper British cafe. No frills.The food is freshly cooked while you wait. The prices are very reasonable.There is no manufactured ambience, no ‘tasteful’ decoration, no bland music and thankfully no patronising idiots telling you how the coffee beans were roasted. No what you get you can never reproduce. Real ambience, a friendly relaxed atmosphere where they wouldn’t dream of disturbing some elderly ladies chatting for ages with only a cup of tea and a cake. You could set a gentle sitcom here. Forget the hygiene rating this is pure 5 star gold, Service 5, Food 5 Value5+ sorry the click is not working

No frills no fuss just good simple food served properly. Reminded me of a number of places I knew from my schooldays. Great memories band great value.

The Homestead Cafe looks to be very rough but it is cheap and very good value for money. The cafe is not wheelchair friendly there is a step up into the cafe never mind which door you use.

Love it here. All food is exceptional value for money. Eat here as often as I can. Not worth cooking at home. Cheap as chip's but in a nice way.

Food was delicious, I had the cooked dinner and I advised all my friends try this! Staff was friendly and very welcoming and food was prompt. Yum yum yum!!!
