Always a delight to visit this site, such a warm & friendly welcome & dog friendly. Fantastic views & value for money. The bar is a must ! Also Dale the owner will sometimes have entertainment. So much too do around Abergavenny, symptoms yat & Crickhawell. Family run business. Always revisit It's a yes from me 👍

Well, what can I say about the hogs head. First is the owners dale and Nicola. Couldn’t do enough for us. Amazing family run business. The pitches are first class The pub is so friendly and inviting we spent more time In There than we expected but it’s so nice. Shower blocks are brilliant and spotless. Dale showed us the wedding venue with is spectacular. I mignt get divorced so I can marry my wife again just so we can have the reception there. Highly recommended. We’ll be back very soon. Absolutely beautiful place. Thank you dale and Nicola. Say hi to pothole from us lol

A wonderful wedding… Outstanding venue run by the family. They know what there doing and do it well.

Absolutely lovely site! Dale the owner and his dad were brilliant and couldn't do enough to help us. We broke down and they really went above and beyond for us. The whole site was really nice, there is very limited mobile signal so nice to switch off. The toilet facilities were so well looked after some of the best I've seen on a touring site. Location is really nice with some great walks around. The pub on site had a great atmosphere as well.

Walking the Offa's Dyke we contacted the venue initially just to find out if they were open. Dale and his team couldn't have been more helpful, not only did they open the bar just for us they also helped arrange a taxi so we could get back to Monmouth. But it didn't stop there, it turned out they had a beautiful camping area so we returned the following day with our motorhome for two more nights and had the place almost to ourselves..... paradise. This enabled us to complete two more sections of the Offa's Dyke Path. I can't rate too highly the friendly and helpful team not to mention the excellent beer! We certainly will go back.

We had tents with us but could walk no further due to the heat and asked the Hogs Head if they could help us out. What a fantastic welcome: We were offered use of the camping pods which we gratefully accepted and the Bar was opened up for us later that evening.

We got married at the Hog's head 4 years ago to the day. It really was the perfect venue for us - very nice interior with a great atmosphere, beautiful landscapes, and Dale and co. were so incredibly helpful when it came to setting everything up just as we wanted it. They even let us hang a couple of piñatas right next to the bar! Would absolutely recommend.

attended a friends wedding here, found the venue to be perfect. there are parts that are a work in progress but it didn't stop anyone having a fab time,

We found the Hogs Head, drIving along the narrow lanes, which was quite exciting not knowing what we were going, We did find the Hogs Head and surprisingly we had a very nice evening, plenty of food served piping hot. The waitresses were absolutely fabulous, nothing was too much trouble, The room was warm and comfortable and wonderfully decorated. Ideal place for children, plenty of space.

An excellent venue, great for weddings too. A nice relaxing atmosphere. Very reasonable. Great for children to run around.

Attended an event here, was impressed by the location and many of the facilities - a great event venue. However there are parts of the grounds which still look like a farm yard and the main entrance drive is scruffy - needs finishing and some eye to detail in comparison to other locations. Could be fantastic when completed

My daughter had her wedding here.100 guests in the day 200 in the night. For a DIY wedding this is a fabulous venue. We had the place from Weds to Sunday.Plenty of time to decorate etc to your own design.My daughter's was rustic.It looked beautiful!! Dale and family (owners)were helpful and gave good info and advice. We had a wonderful day.Plenty of room for dancing and entertainment.I would highly recommend this venue.Lots of compliments from the guests about the Hogshead as a wonderful place to hold a wedding. Top marks!!!

What a stunning place lovely warm welcome, Dale couldn't have been more accommodating. Pods were very comfortable, will definitely pop in again next time I am in the area. Thank you Dale and family :)

Attended a wedding here and it was a beautiful wedding in a stunning location. Room was set up beautifully and staff were lovely very attentive.

If you need a good, well serviced event location in a nice rural setting then this is your place. Plenty of surrounding, well maintained, grounds for outdoor events to compliment the function rooms. The approach roads are quite narrow country lanes so care if you are bringing a cherished vehicle.

Amazing place amazing venue ... Dale an his family could not do enough for you an helped to make the day perfect!! My daughter an son in law had there reception here end of last year an it was the best day!! Dale along with his staff made sure every thing we wanted was sorted or helped us sort it. We where so lucky with the weather an the outside space is just perfect for all the family, both young an old. Some of our friends stayed in the Hog Pods which they enjoyed an even a large group of joined family an friends for breakfast the following morning. I have also been to other parties an weddings at the Hogs and always had a great time!

We got married here yesterday and dale was so helpful from start to finish our day went perfectly even though it poured with rain there was more than enough room for all our guests inside and managed some fun photos in the rain too!

Mi esposa y yo estábamos caminando Dyke Offa's y llamada en Hogs cabeza donde Dale amablemente nos hicieron algunos cafés y teníamos un bocado. No podía haber sido más amable. Recomiendo encarecidamente este lugar.

What can I say about this place, blew me away from the moment I first arrived and knew I wanted to have our reception there. Dale and his family were so welcoming and couldn't do enough for us throughout from the moment we booked until even after the wedding. The venue is perfect, stunning room for a ceremony and also a reception, with a quaint pub at the front entrance. Stunning grounds with a play / park area outside for children. Plenty of benches and outdoor space for people to relax and enjoy Large stage for a band, great bar and nothing I can find to fault it. Lots of added extras that I can not thank Dale enough for, photo booth, drone photos, lovely breakfast the next day. The only recommendation I would have is for a full length mirror in the guest bedrooms to enable brides to see themselves fully. They even now have glamping pods out the back to enable wedding guests to party until the early hours which our guests most definitely did. Thanks once again to Dale, his family and all the great bar staff. You made the wedding perfect!!

Attended brothers wedding here #wedstock5915 staff were helpful and polite, lovely outdoor space for kids to run around and for camping. New camping pods looked nice too

Fabulous venue for the civil marriage of my daughter yesterday. Beautiful setting in the Monmouthshire countryside and lovely barn conversion buildings. The friendly reception, attention and support that we received was outstanding! They really went above and beyond to make it the special day that it was.

Called for lunch but was advised they no longer do food, other than for booked functions(such as the wedding party we encountered) which looks to be the focus now.Did get a good pint and good advice on dining alternatives

What a super meal steak cook to perfection ,great welcome we will return thank you Dale and family for your hospitality

We ate here tonight as we met up with friends for the Beth's Wish cancer charity event. The extensive barn conversion complex is set in 55 acres of beautiful Monmouthshire countryside...a little off the beaten track yes but well worth a visit especially as this is a very friendly country pub and also an excellent music venue. My husband and I ate in the restaurant area just across from the very busy bar,there is a proper pub fare menu and a specials board both are very reasonably priced. Not fine dining but nonetheless very good.Starters of a large prawn cocktail and garlic mushrooms on garlic bread were both delicious,mains were a very tasty beef curry with rice,naan and proper homemade chips and a half chicken with chips and salad both were very nice. Service was very good,waitresses were very friendly as was the very hospitable landlord. This place has everything. A good pub atmosphere,good pub food,a skittle alley would you believe,another huge barn conversion used for entertainment and weddings,a large outdoor space,camping facilities,children's play area and cottage accomodation on site. Excellent hospitality.

This is the second time we have called in here for a meal. Again we had a great welcome, good beer and a good pub meal. A bit off the beaten track but well worth the effort. They have a function hall and do receptions and parties. The place is absolutely stunning.

A friendly restaurant midway between Abergavenny and Monmouth,a group of us called in to celebrate a birthday,the service from the waitress was excellent and the food out of this world especially the lamb steak,we cannot wait to return.
