Booked a table at the Cherry Tree the week before we were to travel to Scotland from Derbyshire. We needed a dog friendly pub which this is. On the day we travelled up, they had to shut the kitchen due to a staff injury, however they honoured our booking.. We’ve just had the best service and a lovely pub meal. The dog was brought her own water bowl too. Couldn’t have been more friendly. Good atmosphere too. Great value for money.

Would highly recommend The Avenue Cafe for any catering requirements. Food all lovely and fresh and well presented. The staff are all very polite helpful and friendly. Thank you again my buffet went down a storm!

I visited with my friends and everyone was very impressed with the food, value for money and excellent service from the friendly and helpful staff. We'll all definitely be returning. Steak pie and lemon cheesecake was my favourite.

We went as a party of four, and were greeted cordially, by pleasant staff. Although the place was almost empty, it had a "busy" vibe about the place. Surrounded by so many bottles of whisky, it was difficult to concentrate on the food menu, but three of us had the two meal deal, and I selected a steak (no dessert, I was having a whisky instead). The meals came promptly, and were good sized portions. My steak was perfect (rare), and the others in the party were well pleased with their food. A young guy, who I think was the manager, sat down with me to help me select a whisky, and it turned out to be a wonderful Highland Park Alchemist, which was so smooth, it's hard to explain. A few more people came in, and the ambience of this little gem was great. I've been travelling through Wishaw for almost 50 years, and not seen this place. Not a massive, in your face signage, but an honest, plain shop front, that's well worth a visit. The bill for four meals, three desserts, drinks and a special whisky was just less than £82, which I found amazing. We'll certainly be going again, and I'd recommend you try it.

We drove just over an hour to visit Toni’s in Wishaw after spotting his TikTok video about the Easter Sunday deep fried eggs—and let me tell you, it was so worth the trip! Before setting off, we gave them a call (just to be sure it wasn’t too good to be true), and the lovely woman who answered the phone confirmed it was 100% real—she was so kind and cheerful, it already gave us a good feeling. When we arrived, we were greeted by the friendliest staff who made us feel instantly welcome. We even got to meet the man himself, Toni, who was absolutely lovely! The whole team seemed genuinely buzzing that we’d travelled all the way from Ayr! We ordered food to sit in—hamburger, chicken leg, and cheeseburgers—and honestly, every single bite was delicious. We left totally stuffed and so satisfied. Even though we had to read the menu a good couple of times over to choose what we wanted as there was just so much choice!! To top it all off, Toni surprised us with two free cream eggs in batter to try, and they were absolutely amazing too! We ended our visit with a great wee chat with the staff about our wee hometown, then headed off with our deep fried Easter eggs in hand—completely full and totally happy. And yes… the eggs were everything we hoped for and more! Toni’s is a gem—amazing food, amazing staff, and a warm, welcoming vibe. We’ll definitely be making the hour-long journey again soon… next time for a chippy! See you all soon!

First of all l had to send my cup back, dirty, next l ordered a cherry scone and a pot of tea, tea perfect, bit into the cherry scone got a massively hard stone, chipped a tooth, l obviously sent it back, the old guy with the white hair and the management thought it was funny, l can assure you l was not laughing and to stand and point disgusting behaviour, l owned a shop for 30 years l never took the p out any of my valued friends and customer alike. So all in all l cannot recommend going here for food. l absolutely hate putting a bad review, at the end of the day its my and every ones hard earned cash that's paying to keep your establishment open, you will never get another penny from me or my family and friends l will make sure of it. I have youtube channels etc, posting this all over the internet. Disgusting behaviour.

I bought a too good to go bag here, supposedly £13 worth of food. The whole bag was inedible. It was truly disgusting and I'm not a fussy eater. I put the whole lot in the bin after trying a bite of each. It was disgusting. Please don't spend your money on food here. It looks and certainly tastes nothing like the pictures. There was karaoke on when I was in which had the worst "singer" I had ever experienced.

I had praised this place previously, but that praise has been short lived, so won’t be returning until they know what they are doing. Ordered a classic burger and fries for my daughter…. my oh my what a disappointment, it was as thin as a saucer and charred to an inch of its sorry life, no cheese and a bun that looked as if it had been retrieved from someone else’s plate, and half a dozen chips. They took it back and it returned the exact same…. Shocking! Its gets better, I ordered the ramen, which I have done so many times. The plate was over flowing, too much water in the broth. When I told the server she said that’s how it comes… I said … no it doesn’t it should be 450 mls in the bowl. Don’t expect anything here that isn’t rushed, no quality control, just really poor, slovenly, couldn’t give a monkey’s food and service…. On Thursday we went down to the Commercial…. Now that was a burger let me tell you, thick juicy burger, cheese, gherkins, tomato, salsa mustard and lettuce a triump, plenty chips … can’t wait to go back next !
