The Avenue in North Lanarkshire

Would highly recommend The Avenue Cafe for any catering requirements. Food all lovely and fresh and well presented. The staff are all very polite helpful and friendly. Thank you again my buffet went down a storm!

Small, intimate café with a fantastic menu that has something for everyone. Good quality products and many from local sources. Slimmer versions for those watching their weight. The staff are polite and respectful.

Staff always very friendly and welcoming. Alan as do all staff always make time to chat even when they are run off there feet. Food is delicious and can not fault it. The cheesecake that we ordered in November and then again for christmas was amazing as always. Would highly recommend. Will obviously be back.

Don’t ever eat here, the owner is rude & obnoxious. He’s a very unpleasant man who when you don’t like what you’re served resorts to insulting you on social media, avoid at all costs!

Quite an unwelcoming place to eat. Inside is dull, staff have forgotten how to smile, my husband’s coffee was brought to the table (you have to go up and order at the counter and pay) with no teaspoon, you have to go for that yourself. The coconut triangle tasted stale and very cheap. Lastly, able-bodied people dragging their chairs along a tiled floor had us stopping our conversations mid sentence as we couldn’t hear what each other was saying. Poundland sell packs of felt circles to prevent this racket. All in all, an awful place. Won’t be back.

Great clean friendly place i ordered sausage bacon egg but sausage and bacon were very greasy had to dab off the grease with my napkin disapointed as usually happy with the service

Visited with my partner and really enjoyed the experience. Food was warm and well presented. Is a little small and does get busy but well worth the wait for your food. You wont be disappointed. Will visit again in the future.

Lovely cheap, well cooked food and cracking cup of tea. The staff are v pleasant and the food was made to order. V reasonable price too!

Nice wee self service cafe with decent selection of snacks, meals & various all day breakfasts including slimmers one.

My only gripe is the prices , a wee bit high , if it was me id put on more soup with hot roll in winter and salad in summer , but its a great wee place all said and done .

The staff were very friendly, I had a small all day breakfast which was cooked perfectly, didn't notice they offered a diet version as well until I had ordered or I might have tried it. I took a couple of cakes to carry out as they looked nice , which they were. Seemed to be plenty room and tables. Reasonable waiting time for food also.

I had the Mexican chicken quesadilla and it was very tasty. I even went back the next day for a takeaway. Friendly atmosphere and good location in the middle of the High Street. Quite basic inside but clean and tidy. Good pricing for this area

I went into the Avenue cafe a couple of weeks ago & I haven't been in for a while & the food is great & the staff are friendly & help so if you àre ever in that area I would really highly recommended 🍜🍛🍲🌯🍕

Came for my lunch and it was great, got 1/4 pounder and tasted great, homemade i think. Service was good and didn't have to wait long

Friendly,efficient staff and good basic food very reasonably priced. Situated on a Main Street,convenient for busses, this is the place to go for a bite to eat while you wait for a bus or just for a coffee and chat with friends.

Como en el título agradable para un bocadillo rápido pero clama por un poco de polvo para hornear. El lugar es generalmente agradable y buena para dejar en las tiendas.

Great wee place for breakfast - kitchen spotless clean. Can also recommend the steak pie. All home made - nothing fancy, but home made real food

Visited here this afternoon and as it was a wet and cold day was ideal for lunch, was not that busy and managed to find a seat, Alan and the team are always very friendly and the meal i had was lovely hit the spot

I travelled from lanark,and due to my arthritis had to stop at wishaw to stretch my legs.I bumped into the avenue,what a find. I had a latte and it was lovely and also very reasonable.I now add half an hour on to my journey to glasgow to have a cofe there.Staff are all very pleasant,and the shop is spotless.Lots of people go in for a breakfast and it looks lovely.

My daughter and I went into this wee gem today (12th Dec) we are both vegan, they had a veggie burger so we asked for the dairy (coleslaw etc) to be left off. The chef came out to make sure it was exactly how we wanted it, how nice was that. Some of the more salubrious of eateries are not so nice and helpful, the young lady that took our order (long blonde hair) was very nice too.It was so clean, but also, the burger was delicious, so fresh and cooked perfectly.When I am in Wishaw again I will certainly go back there. Whoever owns this has got really good staff, hang on too them is what I say. Very reasonably priced too.Keep up the good work. A very happy Christmas to you all.Kind Regards Patricia

Small family run eating place, lovely food and good choices, staff are friendly too..We as a family have had a few choices at a lunchtime the few times we have been here... fresh cooked food and tasty too, soups are lovely.

Seem to eat in here all the time, staff are very friendly and ideal free wifi wile you wait inside for your meal. Well worth a visit

Great coffee and even better food, something for all, breakfasts, hot/cold lunches, soups, bigger bites also, and specials on regularly.I have been several times now and have never been disappointed. Very friendly and welcoming atmosphere. I especially love their hot chocolate with cream and marshmallows. Recommend you to try, sure you will enjoy it!

Ordered a small breakfast the sausage, potato scone, haggis and toast were all burnt on one side and under cooked on the under side. I complained to the waitress and the cook came out and was verbally abusive to me.

Was given a bad weak tea by staff that did not care and did not want to remake another tea. The food was ok to passable.

Great food amazing attentive staff and value for money! Brilliant breakfasts and by far the best coffee in Wishaw. I am a regular and urge you to try it! You won't be disappointed!

I have made several visits to The Avenue when I am in the area, and have had snacks, breakfasts and main meals and have always been more than happy with the quality, service and price. Staff go the extra mile to make sure you are happy -and the banter is great!!

Best food in town with a varied menu. Defo something for everyone. Amazing coffee and friendly helpful staff. The cafe is always busy and has a lovely atmosphere.

I travel all over the country and this is by far the best cafe in Scotland, amazing food, great customer service and value for money, I will definate be back again

Whilst waiting for a bus I popped into the Avenue for a coffee. Right in the main street about half way along. Lovely cafe which serves breakfasts, lunches and snacks. Open during the week and now open on a Sunday. Very clean and tidy and friendly staff who were very helpful. Prices very reasonable.
