Staff amazing food out of this world defo recommend for every meal 🍴 its great

Not called Hartys anymore, it's room 101,still the same staff and food ,both of which are excellent, we were there with a another couple who where dining there for the first time and they couldn't praise anymore than they did.

Oh dear! Went as reviews seemed good. Haggis parcel tastless. Steak pie , chewy, cold and gravy was more like coloured water. Sent caramel shortcake back as was only Carmel, a new shortcake arrived an grudging apology followed by a comment 'it is just the same as your last plate' very rude.... won,t be returning

This restaurant has become our new favourite place to eat every other week. It's local and we can walk from the house. The prices are so reasonable and the quality of food is just delicious. Staff are always super friendly and accommodating. Can't wait for our next meal there. Very warming and cosy atmosphere too with nice decor. My favourite is the haggis parcels for starter and Highland mist for main. :-)

We ate in The Dining Room restaurant and it was really nice and great prices. The food was lovely. 2 courses for 11.99 or 3 for 13.99. Cant go wrong 👌

Great food and pleasant friendly staff. Unfortunately I posted this review prematurely. The day after our visit two of my party came down with food poisoning. Contact with the establishment resulted in denial (common practice) and laughter. Will never visit this establishment again.

My sister took me here last week for my birthday and it was amazing from start to finish. Food was stunning and very reasonable and staff were great, especially Andrea who went out her way for us. Was that good we came back the following week with kids and elderly uncle and again, was not disappointed. Highly recommended. Be back soon

My wife, two young children and I booked a table last minute at the restaurant. When we arrived, we were met and shown to our tables within seconds. The staff were so attentive and took the time to speak with my children and make them feel welcome. The waitresses with the red hair and the brown hair are a credit to you. Even the chef popped his head round the corner to ask if my son liked his burger. The food is delicious and very reasonably priced. Despite the low cost the portions are very generous. We all left clean plates, which with two younger children is no easy thing to do. We will be back again. One minor constructive feedback - the list of specials was quite long and we lost track of all of the dishes that were being explained verbally.

Popped in on a whim. A table was quickly made ready by friendly staff. Daiqiri 'mocktail' (I was driving) - spectacular and tasty mixed strawberry & mango. Turned heads from nearby tables. 3 courses: hot chicken wings - not kidding! I was warned "They're spicy", and they were, but very nice. [Special] Fillet steak with haggis & mash (I think it was called Highland Mist?). Superb. Steak was perfect, accompaniments just right for it. Fudge cake - I can't resist. Just right to end the meal. A very pleasant experience with excellent food and friendly service. Thank you.

Arrived after pre booking a lunch at 2pm , we had to park at the front of the premises on the pavement as the carpark at the rear was full. We arrived on time and had to stand for at least 5 mins waiting on a member of staff to show us to our table. This never happened and out of embarrassment as the rest of the people sitting were looking at us decided to walk to a table ourselves . A member of staff approached to check our booking , then we were told that the table had still to be cleaned, so we were left standing again , this was when we decided to leave and go somewhere else for lunch, where we were shown straight to a table and served lunch,

Great food at this hidden gem , parking round the back and the food is so nice and tons very high standard ! Staff no issues at all and the restaurant is very popular

Love this place. Food is amazing and great prices. The deserts are fab and I would recommend the cheesecakes and caramel shortcake. Staff are very friendly and super helpful. We travel through from Glasgow to eat here.

Keeping this simple. Highland Mist… the best steak I’ve ever had was at The Dining Room tonight. This was my third visit and each one has been exceptional food. Without doubt my favourite local restaurant. Plus all the staff are fabulous as well.

Nice atmosphere, great food and friendly staff.

Brother chose the location and I was pleasantly surprise. Not much to look at from out side and the entrance needs some work but the restaurant was lovely. Friendly welcome and asked to sanitise and wear masks when moving around. Shown to our table and drinks order quickly taken. Not overly busy but the staff were friendly and attentive, the specials were detailed and our order taken. the haggis bon bons were tasty and well presented. My main of Steak Pie was excellent. We were tempted by the dessert menu and the cheesecake was really nice and they did not skimp on pouring cream. Good value for money, well worth a visit. One bad point, door from the beer garden leads directly into the restaurant and guest were using it for access to the car park. While this may be ok in summer on a blustery day is made the place cold and was very anoying. Despite this I will visit again.

Good food. Husband had Storrnaway chicken which was excellent. My chicken fajitas were tasty but a little bit too spicy for me. Service was slow even though it wasn’t full.

Lovely place inside. The food was great and the staff were very friendly and accomodating. The steak was cooked perfectly! We look forward to visiting again soon.

Stopped by for a coffee with my partner and was really impressed! I had a latte and it was really tasty! The restaurant is really spacious & has a pleasant atmosphere while the staff are really welcoming & attentive. The perfect place for a laid back chat & a coffee. The menu also sounds really tasty, unfortunately we didn’t stop by for food but we will definitely coming back to try their food in the future!

First time eating here! Food was great! Would recommend the Cajun fish! And the tempura chicken the batter was as thin as you like with a wee tasty dipping sauce!

Waited over 40 minutes for a starter. To then be told no potatoes for steak pie, no garlic bread for macaroni then staff stood swearing continuesly behind my kids to the chef then asked us to leave because they didn't have the stock. Staffs attitude was disgusting not professional at all

Was here today for lunch and as usual the food was delicious and the service was excellent.

I took my wife for the Thursday night meal for 2 for £25 with a bottle of wine. This was my second visit and on both occasions the food was perfect, and the staff were efficient and pleasant.

4 of is went we had a beautiful meal and will certainly be back

Went here for a bite to eat with family, on arrival it looked well presented but all went downhill from there. The food was absolutely disgusting, watery supermarket quality lasagne,microwaved Mac & cheese-tasteless. Chewy steak pie and raw veg.. Starters were ok but all bought in. I understand it's a cheap menu but it wasn't edible. Sent it back to the manager as I actually could not eat it and the level of customer service was shocking. Should have known when it was empty at 4pm on a Sunday!(everywhere else was fully booked) such a shame as the interior was very well presented! Why spend all that money on decor when you have bad management and unqualified cooks!? So if you are looking for some half decent food, please take my advice and drive past this excuse for a restaurant..

Just a year ago since we had dinner shortly after the business had changed hands. Every bit as good as our last visit. Good menu and food well prepared and presented - and good value.

We have driven past this place many times and always wanted to try it out. Well now we have and to be honest we wouldn't do back.The food was ok but took an age to arrive. We were told this was due to some of the kitchen appliances being broke and new staff.The staff who did serve us seemed very unsure of what they were doing and our mains arrived almost cold. We ate them anyway as we'd been waiting a while. Has lots of potential if problems can be fixed as the menu looks good, the place looks great and had parking.

We are regular visitors for lunch and really enjoyed our meal yet again so if you are in the area pay The Dining Room a wee visit and you will be delighted with both the food and the service!

Went on Friday 18th October for my bosses retirement,had an excellent time,food was amazing,soup delicious,plain chicken goujons,you can also get spicy were devine and last but not least the popcorn sundae was superb,staff very effeciant,spotless clean and very welcoming,will definitely be back

Came where on the 9th August had a lovely meal with my husband we had 3 course good few choices to choose from. Good service staff were very welcoming. Good value for money. Will be back as you can take dogs into the bar and lounge for a meal.

Called in for lunch in the passing. Food was excellent, well presented and hot. Pleasant surroundings. Our waitress Nicola was helpful and attentive. Would highly reccomend and we will certainly return

Booked last minute on Friday for myself and 7 family members the food was spot on as was the service. The young girl couldn’t do enough for us and was very friendly and chatty. Even through she was busy serving in restaurant and bar. She managed everyone that was in very well and as she was open and honest and advised what she was doing we didn’t mind waiting slightly longer. When I’m out for a family meal we are all talking anyway, so like things spaced out. Will definitely be back next time visiting family.

We had a great meal served by lovely staff the only disappointment was a male customer who was complaining so loudly about his starter the whole place could hear him even though he was asked if he wanted it changed he said no but still kept complaining then 2 minutes after the girl had taken away his starter he stood up with his wife and again very loudly said the service was terrible and he was leaving and won’t be paying for what he had his wife was humiliated at his loud over exaggerated behaviour and it would have ruined part of our night if the staff hadn’t made a joke of it. Hopefully he won’t be back for both staff and customers sake

Myself and my partner Had a beautiful three course meal here on Boxing Day. Met the new owner who is absolutely lovely and served by Lucy they were both really pleasant and chatty. We never even spoke to each other during our desserts as they were to die for. Exceptional food, service and quality would highly recommend

Phoned over a week ago to book a table for my mums birthday, booking confirmed no problem. Turned up tonight to the place closed with all the lights off. Nobody thinking to phone and explain or offer another Harty’s restaurant to move the booking to. Beyond disappointed in the Harty group.

We have been here several time and always enjoyed it. We went on Saturday night for a family meal once we had ordered our food a drunk women was sick on the floor and all down the door in the middle of the resturant which put us off to start with.We then waited an hour and a half before we got our starter which when it came the bruschetta was burnt and only had two very small triangle of tomato on it when I highlight this I was told they would inform the chef but I heard nothing back. To top off the evening we were overcharged which I had to complain about too. We will not be back.

Food always good - but - no white wine - no bottles or cans diet coke - no lime - bar closed? Card machine always goes down night before i visit lol Never busy but no wonder - could be a good wee place if someone gets their act together.

My fav place but i was disappointed that they have took stornaway black pud off the menu, get it back on please. Still loved my courses.

Recently moved to the area and decided to give this place a try. We didn’t have a reservation but were seated quickly. The food was lovely. We were sat in a booth next to a large clock. The dust and grime on the hands of the clock was quite off putting. The more I glanced around the room I found quite a few areas needing attention. A good deep clean and the place would be perfect

Mum and I visited a couple weeks back and I choose the scallop special, it was the best choice! To die for! Mum was super impressed with her main of the pork chop as well. Beautiful looking restaurant and a bunch of lovely ladies serving us. Good job! We will be back x

Food is good. Service is very poor. The bar area needs an upgrade. Parking is a problem. If Harty group overhauled the place as the did with other restaurants in the area this would appeal more as I've said no complaints with the food

Good service, not noisy, able to have a good chat and hear what is being said. Food delightful and we'll presented.

Wouldn’t go back to this place ,The double room we had you could hardly swing a cat ,,went to have a cup of tea when we came in at night the cups and teaspoons were filthy. In the morning went to open the window and the curtain poll fell on top of me .Then went for a shower and their was no hot water left for my partner .Then went for what was meant to be a continental breakfast that was cereal and a cheap brown loaf that was it and no staff about at all never again But must say the girls that worked in the restaurant and bar we’re lovely.

Alternative place to eat while one is on long term assignment or regular visitor. Food is excellent. It's fixed price for 1, 2 or 3 courses and can't fault food or service. Even as a vegetarian eating eggs and fish, has plenty of choices for starter, main and after.

Went here for a meal with my husband and parents. I thought the menu was lovely and amazing value for money. Three courses for £13 on a Saturday evening! It was our first time and I thought it couldn’t be great for that price but I was wrong. The food quality was amazing. An extra £5 if you wanted steak and it was worth every penny. Would highly recommend here and we will be back. Great service too no complaints at all.

I go here regulary and have neve been disappointed. I always find the service very pleasant and the food delicious! I venture to all the Harty places as you are guaranteed a lovely dining experience.

We popped into Hartys at 5.30 on sat, waited to be seated and I noticed only 3 tables occupied, the girl at the seating desk said - she will see to you and walked away, she left us with a young girl who looked as though it was he first shift, as we explained we would like a table for 2 she studied the seating plan for a loooong time and said oh erm wait there and disappeared, she then returned to say no sorry no tables? I pointed out that only 3 tables were occupied but she said they were fully booked. Found it strange as no reserved signs. Anyway she did us a massive favour as we have now found a new local- the Newhouse Hotel does fish and chips before 6.30 pm for £5 each! So Hartys thanks for the non service.

I'm dismayed as I am a local, have been going here for about 10 years.

Had my car in for MOT at the garage across the roads so he told me to pop across for a coffeeinstead I had a breakfast. Friendly staff and a lovely breakfast, highly recommended. .

We were here in December and the place was packed and food was excellent. We went back in January and the food wasn't of the same standard. The black pudding starter in December was halved potatoes, bacon and black pudding slices, it was a huge portion. In January it was a small salad with about half a slice of black pudding crumbled over it.

Went to the dining room last week and although I have been before and enjoyed it I feel the need to write this review. Myself daughter and 79yr old dad went for a late lunch and have to say we didn't take our coats off...

Went with the family as it was recommended and can only further that recommendation, great little spot which is excellent value. The food was amazing and flavourful. Definitely recommend. 5/5 class act.

On ariving at 7.30 we were told the kitchen and bar closed just after 8 so rushed to order the food. it was avarage to poor. The staff were polite and the rooms were clean but very noisy from the main road. We had to leave at 8.45 to go to work and the place was deserted no one to see us off and the kitchen closed we didn't even get a slice of toast or cup off tea .I left a note to give me a call as I had booked this room with breakfast. no one rang. In short not the best traval lodge next time

We visited the Dining Room for a mid week dinner with the family. The staff were very nice and the food was brought promptly and was delicious.

Dropped in this place today by chance as the Fourways is being revamped.. I was very impressed by the attentive friendly waitress at the door who reshuffled the reservations to accommodate us well done the service then continued. First time here impressed with the lovely scottish decor and the tartan touches. I opted for the king prawn brushetta with garlic bread prawns cooked to perfection and followed by chicken supreme amazing peppercorn sauce even the vegetables cooked to perfection. Great menu varied and lots of choice.

This has become our local little eatery.

Had the chicken dish with the fancy potatoes and seasonal veg. Unfortunately due to allergies I couldn't have the potato but I was accommodated with a different item which was great as a lot of places would just say pick something else entirely. The chicken with peppercorn sauce was beautiful. It tasted like it was done on a BBQ. Just shows you should try a place more than once.

Food was really bad i usually love this place! I order sirloin steak medium cooked it was sooo tough it was not edible. Whiskey sauce was tasteless!

Called in to book a table in the restaurant for 7-00pm Tuesday 25th July 2017. Arrived promptly on time and were welcomed by the waitress and shown to our table, the next hour and a half was just a joy to be there, even the area manager who was serving came over sat down and asked us how our stay in the area was going. Can't say what other folks think about this place, but value for money for a 3 course meal for £13 is a real treat, with great service friendly staff and good food, when we are back in the area, this place will definitely be first on our list to eat.

I've had a meal here a couple of times but unfortunately due to the medication I'm on I haven't much of an appetite and didn't eat much of my meal. It was absolutely no reflection on the restaurant as the meal was lovely and very well presented. The staff were concerned about how little I ate and advised me next time to order of the kids menu which was very helpful.The decor is very welcoming and the staff are lovely.Me and my friends are planning our next visit.

First the pluses clean room excellent food both at dinner and breakfast not over expensive free parking in the small car park the room itself was small but functional excellent shower now the downsides if staying here ask for a room at the rear because the noise from the main road at the front was horrendous also the bar shuts at 10 o'clock way to early would stay again but in a rear room
