Mack is truly an original. His diner legend. We were lucky to spend an hour with him and enjoy his colorful soccer travel stories and the best haggis and blackpudding breadrolls in Glasgow. We even got some chocolate bars on top. Mack, let me know, when you are back near Cologne, will meet you at the bar and order a round!

I was really looking forward to visiting this place. It started off really wells great service, really nice starters. And then from there it went down hill. The skate I ordered had gone over and was full of salt and ammonia - a sure sign that Skate is passed its best. The manager responded well and offered to prepare a new cod dish for me - this was fine but had been over seasoned. My dining companion has his beef course taken away while my new main was being prepared but they brought him lamb back rather than the beef - the lamb was very good by the way. Clearly the kitchen was having a bad day. In fairness the manager was brilliant and only charged us for starter and drinks. However, it wasn’t the best overall experience. Such a shame. Don’t agree with the comments re portion sizes - these are just right for this kind of food.

Ate at the restaurant (didn't stay overnight). Great little restaurant, very tasty food and very good value for money. Would definitely recommend.

My family and I have been in a couple of times now and on our 2nd visit the staff remembered us and the hot drinks we'd had on our 1st. On both visits I noticed that everyone who came in were given a similar welcome making for a friendly atmosphere, the staff are top notch. Now to the food .... fresh, delicious and reasonably priced too. I would definitely recommend.

Hemos estado en la carnicería a menudo, pero me sentí obligado a escribir esta opinión específicamente para elogiar al personal. Llegué delante de mi marido y estaba sentado solo. Había otra mesa de tres hombres que al verme cesaron su conversación y comenzaron a hacer comentarios repugnantes lo suficientemente alto como para que pudiera escuchar mientras mi servidor intentaba describirme el menú. Preguntó si alguien estaba equivocado porque claramente no estaba escuchando. Le expliqué en voz baja que los hombres me estaban mirando. Was here for a mates wedding. The service and food were great. Also great selection of no booze bevvies as was the chauffeur for the day!

Located down a side street that may be unsettling if it were not lively. Nonetheless, at night the string lights above provide a welcoming setting. The first room has booths which give a cozy vibe. Downstairs is a larger room with a bar and kitchen where live music may be played. Ordered draught beer. Cocktails are available. Friendly staff.
