An excellent sunday lunch today at the Lamb Inn. Slow cooked brisket melted in the mouth, others had lamb and said couldnt fault it and the nut roast was very good. Lovely fire going, do us damp walkers could dry out, it was very busy and rightly so, excellent food in a lovely setting. 1 little niggle was we didnt think there were enough vegetables, plenty of potatoes though.

We had a delicious dinner during our Jazz festival weekend in Leyburn. The food was delicious and there was plenty of choice, everything was very fresh and well presented. We had a lovely bottle of wine from a great wine list. The service was excellent and very friendly. We will definitely visit again next time we are in Leyburn

Quite dissappinting that there are no gluten free options on the menu. I didn't expect gluten free pancakes as I know it may be hard to ensure no cross contamination but it would have been nice if they had some gluten free cakes instead. Their solution was that I could make my own meal off the menu using any ingredients which were gluten free or a salad. Which was pretty much a cooked breakfast with no bread or a salad which I didn't fancy in the morning!

We visited this carvery on October 27th 2024 and i have no words! Firstly, Staff greeted us soon as we walk through the door and got us a table straight away! We had a toddler (2 year old) and we didnt even have to ask for a highchair. Our 2 year old is very picky with food and cutelery and they had a box of plastic spoons/forks/knifes. They even brought her a little yorkshire pudding and she enjoyed very much. We went to get our food and as soon as i tried my meal (i got mash, broccoli, turkey, yorkshire pud and gravy) it was speechless. It was so tasty but my only no about this carvery is the dessert price.. I think it was £5.50 or closer, personally i thought it was a bit pricey.. but overall it was a great experience and i would definitely come again!

My family and I were in the area for a friend's wedding and we needed somewhere for Sunday Lunch before we all departed. It had good reviews on TripAdvisor so we called ahead and booked a table. I'd say this is recommended especially on Sundays as it was busy so there is a chance if you were a walk in you may have to wait. The pub itself is in a nice location on the riverbank. There is a small car park, but there is on street parking in the village. There is a great outdoor seating area, just a bit chilly for this time of year. There is also a small play area for children which is great. The staff are very friendly and they had plenty which meant you never waited very long for food, drinks, orders etc. This is rare these days so keep this up! The pub inside is traditional modern in style. Great as a restaurant style pub. They provide their full menu on a Sunday + a carvery. Between us all we had items from the menu, a couple of carveries and a children's menu item. All the food was great. Big portions, tasty, well presented. Prices were what you would expect for a pub lunch, between the £15-20 per person. For the size of the portion this was good value. Overall this is a great find and was a nice end to a good weekend for us. It's a shame I don't have somewhere like this more local to me or I would be visiting again!

Another fantastic meal here. Need to come more than we do. Portion sizes are huge and the quality of food is unbelievable. Fantastic hosts and a warm family atmosphere. Definitely recommend this place for everyone to try. I had crispy sweet chili beef starter and pork chops for main. Delicious
