Gorgeous breakfast and the sandwiches are good too. They do takeout so you can call and pre order. all the staff are really friendly it’s a proper cafe, clean and quick service

Went this evening with my wife for evening meal,I must say the service was excellent, the food excellent, great quality and cooked to perfection, the evening was marred by the owner, who’d obviously been drinking and was sat at the bar with friends, very loud, obnoxious and thinking the whole bar and restaurant area wanted to listen to them, using foul uncalled for language,at one point saying out loud that he was polishing his helmet, totally out of order, the people on the table behind also heard it and were appalled as we were,I understand this in a bar full of men but don’t expect my wife to listen to that,we did have a word with the waitress and we think she had a word with him but he offered no form of apology, bad form from him who should certainly know better.

A breakfast cafe on the Monckton industrial estate. Outdoor seating, very reasonable breakfast for the price. Just what we needed. Dog allowed to sit outside with us.

Bar Service poor and staff uninterested , using their phones, rather than serving customers .wait a minute buddy while I finish texting ! lunch menu - rocket , with chicken strips dry wilted and inedible, chicken strips cold and dry main meal - crispy chicken was bland ,very small portion size , chips alongside dry , all six of them . Sauce accompaniment resembled the parsley sauce in a frozen fish portion ,it was disgusting. Wouldn’t go again!

Fantastic night we had Saturday, cheap priced drinks, friendly atmosphere and kareoke is one of the best sounds I've heard.

We went here with our daughter and grandchildren, we were made to feel welcome and the tables were clean and tidy. We had a mixture of carvery and children's food, everyone enjoyed it, perhaps the roast potatoes could have been less crispy. The waitress was very patient and helpful. overall very good.

Pros - low budget, clean basic room, very nice buffet breakfast, friendly staff, free parking, easy access to motorway and city centre. Cons - a little difficult to find, located in an industrial estate, looks like a block of run-down flats, no lift, room smelled of smoke despite being "non-smoking", scattered cig ends outside the door told the story. Overall - if you're looking for a no-frills cheap hotel you've come to the right place. Personally I'd pay a bit more for better facilities
