Absolutely lovely place, decor was lovely, open fire added to the atmosphere, but the service and food was incredible- we ordered a large breakfast and a light breakfast, we were able to swap items and they had a wide choice of teas and coffees! The plates were hot, the portions were a really good size and the staff were attentive. Toilets were spotless and are situated upstairs where there is additional seating. It’s very specious. We will definitely be back to try other things on the menu! Thanks for a lovely start to our Sunday!

Owen hosted our wedding reception. Lovely family do (7 bridesmaids and 3 pageboys between 5 and 10) with an outside BBQ. Happy for us to put up a bouncy castle. Really relaxed feel. We put up gazebos in case it rained so we could cover an outside area to seat 48. We had a band inside later. Room to dance. Couldn’t have asked for more.

A bit disappointed today... the room was very cold.. our hands and legs was cold... App wasn't working to refer friends so they could both get the top ip £5.and get 10 on ur card.. was expecting them to save some money today.. ended up spending £45 between the 3 of us... to freeze.. we won't be back. Plenty of other coffee houses for us to frequent..

Wonderful coffee and cake stop. A group of us (8 cyclists) visited for our refuelling break. The owner and her staff were so friendly and accommodating. We all enjoyed sitting in the back courtyard garden. It was not our first visit and will certainly not be the last

Been dining here for a number of years. The food is alway fresh, very well cooked to perfection and delivered perfectly. The chef has a great flare with attention to detail. Lovely staff and cosy atmosphere. Highly recommended

Visited as a couple 7 March. We were staying in the hotel. Ambience was good. The eating area could perhaps do with a bit of updating but it is fine. Menu is a mix of pub classics and more adventurous dishes. I had one of the latter as a starter, Lamb Tagine Roll with harissa mayo and smoked aubergine purée. Very good. The roll had chunks of lamb and the mayo had a kick. Tasted and presented very well. I had steak and ale pie for main. Appeared home made with real chips. Again very good Mrs W had the pork belly which she enjoyed too. We had a very nice bottle of NZ Sav Blanc as well. Very good value.
