Happened upon The Olive Branch nearly a year ago and try to go every month. Can't fault this place at all. Staff are uber- friendly without being over attentive. Food is fabulous- clean plates every time! Great variety including gluten free and veggie options. Today I had the Festive Burger and my wife had Spinach and Ricotta Cannelloni with skin on fries! Place can get busy so would probably advise to book but every time we've visited it's been a spur of the moment thing and we've always managed to get a table.

We have always loved the Olive Branch and we're blessed to have this in our town. We have always found the food to be good but the pizzas are fabulous! We often get the Thursday pizza deal and I wanted to try the squash, feta and hot honey one from the new pizza menu. I can honestly say it was the most gorgeous pizza ever! I didn't imagine the flavours working but they really did. The staff are the best too. And I need to mention that the cakes are sooooo good that are homemade by a family member of the owner. Love this place!

Absolutely lovely place, decor was lovely, open fire added to the atmosphere, but the service and food was incredible- we ordered a large breakfast and a light breakfast, we were able to swap items and they had a wide choice of teas and coffees! The plates were hot, the portions were a really good size and the staff were attentive. Toilets were spotless and are situated upstairs where there is additional seating. It’s very specious. We will definitely be back to try other things on the menu! Thanks for a lovely start to our Sunday!

I had lunch here with three 80-ish year olds who have a LOT of experience with cafe lunches and they were all delighted. A really good menu with specials on boards at the till, a huge choice of main courses and of course cakes. Everyone tried different dishes and they were all excellent, and the staff were extremely tolerant and helpful (two deaf people out of four can add up to a noisy clientele 🤭!). We stayed for a long time with no signs of toe tapping or eye rolling from the lovely staff; not that I thought there would be, but we did take up a table for a long time. This will definitely be my cafe of choice next time I’m rocking Easingwold!

We recently had the pleasure of dining at The Olive Branch in Easingwold, and it was an absolutely lovely experience from start to finish. We chose to sit at one of their outdoor tables, basking in the sunshine while enjoying some quality people-watching. The atmosphere was relaxed and inviting, the perfect spot for a leisurely meal. We ordered the black pudding stack and the buttermilk pancake stack with bacon, both of which were absolutely delicious. Each dish was well presented and reasonably priced, offering great value for the quality. The service was equally impressive, with the staff being attentive, friendly, and efficient without being intrusive. It’s clear they take pride in making their guests feel welcome. Overall, The Olive Branch is a gem in Easingwold. We will definitely be back and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a delightful dining experience. Whether you're after a relaxed meal in the sun or a cosy spot indoors, this place is a must-visit!

Huge disappointment Visited today for lunch. Had we been informed of a 40 minute wait due to a function upstairs we would have gone elsewhere. Either the bread was stale on the fish finger sandwich or it had been waiting under the heat lamp on the pass. Hard poached egg on the otherwise edible black pudding stack. Did ask if we could change our order less than 1 minute from it been taken to be told it probably had already started , which I doubt considering the 40 minute wait! Will not be returning

We were very disappointed with the food served. The Halloumi burger was OK, although served in a hard bun. However, the Tapas selection was appalling. The Nachos were burnt and looked like they had been grilled as the cheese hadn’t melted properly. The Tomato and Garlic flatbread was covered in pale looking mush and served on a burnt bread (later described as caramelised!). Fish goujons were again burnt and hard. Soup was bland. Overall, a very poor effort and the insult was to knock 10% off a £55 bill that should have been reduced to drinks only given we hardly touched the food.

We’ve been here before and it wasn’t great. Decided to give the place a second chance so checked online; open until 5:00pm. We drove to Easingwold, had a little walk around and went to finish-off with a warm cup of tea. We arrived at 4:39pm, the opening times in the window confirmed 5:00pm closing time and the sign on the door said ‘Open’. Walked inside to be greeted with a dirty look and a brash “We’re closed!”. What’s the point of listing opening times if you can’t be arsed to stick to them?? That’s it for us, we don’t do third chances!!

Everything was delicious and coffee was so delicious we took take out. Visited again last Saturday and although the food was delicious again, many items missing I.e. 2 large breakfasts had missing eggs, mushrooms and hash browns, cannelloni ricotta pasta. By the time it was rectified, we could not eat, so items misdong from breakfasts were reduced off the bill and we took the pasta home (nicely presented in a takeout box). We also ordered lattes, vegetable soup with warm bread and margarita pizza with fries. These were very tasty. On the way out, we got a latte take out and an amazing orange choc slice of cake. Visiting the village and was not disappointed when stumbling across this gorgeous pub, lovely vibe inside very homely and a warm open fire. The service was fantastic with happy welcoming start, the food was fresh, hot and had everything you could ask for. Could definitely tell it was proper home made food and not frozen or from a bag. Pork belly was gorgeous it wasn’t too sweet it was perfect and fell apart. Blacksmiths pie was delicious and the gravy with the chips on the side were fantastic. Well worth every penny, thank you and we will be back soon!
