This was a superb pub for drinking, with a vintage design maintained! This is channelled through the lined ceilings and fireplace area, as well as the deer horns. The counter is neatly presented, seating is lovely and I had a cheap pint of Carling!

Good night into early hours on the Kareoke. All of our group enjoyed it.

visited with my pal who is from north allerton in December and we stumbled to the odd fellows pub. young lady working on bar did not look like she was staff member, think she spent more of her time outside smoking with other customers than serving drinks. think I ended up waiting at the bar for 10 minutes and no apologies given to us from the girl. saw another lad pour himslef a pint because he was waiting for atleast 15 minutes another time. absolute shambles. pub was very cold too, stick the heating on & make sure the staff aint acting like customers and it would be a nice local. pint was nice anyway and they have number of tellys showing footie

This is a must see place at Christmas, the landlord has spent hours on decoration, a sparkling wonderland, friendly atmosphere

Beer excellent Barman very pleasant. Other customer - initially a proper gobshite but after they went, things improved. Be warned - the Landlord is a Man Utd fan so plenty of scope for piss-taking..

On a cold Tuesday evening in November when most of the pubs in Northallerton were either closed or half empty, the Oddfellows was pretty full. No doubt having football on the telly was a contributing factor, but it is clear that this is a popular local pub. With its tidy interior and good service it’s easy to see why, and we always enjoy coming here when we visit Northallerton.

Proper community pub with no frills you get what you see serving great real ales and lovely friendly staff and locals with a quirky rooftop garden.

The pub is ok needs updating. Prices for drinks expensive. Service poor. Staff are always smoking. Food good value but no ingredients mentioned for allergies. No room to swing a cat... stayed for karaoke. But they only pick who they think can sing, well thats not karaoke to me

Appearances can be deceptive and from an exterior glance I sort of assumed that the Oddfellows Arms would be a square shaped, small and cosy old pub with twee decor and furnishings. Shape-wise the Oddfellows actually has a long, L-shaped bar with televisions on the wall and the sort of tables and chairs you would find in a working men’s club but, having said that, I must add that it is still a very good pub in the traditional style and we enjoyed good beers while perched contentedly at the bar. The beers were excellent, there was football on the telly, a nice friendly atmosphere and very good service. What’s not to like?

Excellent pub! Visited Northallerton yesterday with family and made very welcome (with dog) to watch the end of Man U v Newcastle. Friendly atmosphere between rival supporters and landlady kindly provided water for dog which she lapped up before spilling the remains on carpet (for which she apologises profusely).

Had a really nice couple of hours here with friends the staff were very friendly, good music, nice beer and a nice atmosphere. Will be coming back 👍🍺

Traditional English pub. No fuss no pretentious intent. Just good basic drinks in a friendly environment. If you want a beer and a chat give it a go

Lovely pub, landlord is really friendly and he allows dogs in. As a beer garden around the back as well. As is own dog called Pepper who is lovely. Lovely traditional pub, which sadly are on the decline. Would definitely recommend this pub, regulars in there are so friendly.

We never go anywhere else in Northallerton, cheap, simple good quality food, you cannot ask for better.

My first time in this gem of a pub, the bar staff were really good and the locals couldn't have been more friendly. Mark, (the unofficial Duke box DJ on the night) is typical of the clientele here who make you feel instantly at ease, It's a quirky little place with small area's to sit down but that is what gives it its character and charm.My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our evening here and will certainly return the next time we're in Northallerton

Beautiful pub in a great location in Northallerton. I was a wee disappointed. I was looking for a place with good craic, a nice pint or two, and a bite of food. I got the pints and the food. Couldn't quite get the locals to engage. Food underwhelming (hair in sandwich)... Maybe it was just an off day.

What a place, as far as the outside is concerned... You couldn't prepare for the pure elation that exists inside. A quick shout out to the toilet cleanliness. What attention to detail. It was the clean environment I have never seen in this type of pub. Outstanding. Cold pints, pool and karaoke until your heart's content. Make it your first and last stop in Northallerton if you're in the area! The masons arms is top. Big up.

Flipping brilliant pub, great atmosphere! Staff are lovely, the regulars are lovely. The karaoke is hilarious, easily the highlight of it all! Wouldn't go anywhere else on a night out!

Called in over a night stay in Northallerton. Lovely feel to the pub, ales were in really good order and it has a fab beer garden at the rear. The staff were friendly and the owners made time for a chat.... it also has sky sports. I would advise visitors to the town to seek out this pub and spend some time enjoying a pint or two.....

Beer prices too high. But apart from that it's great!!!!

I don't have a regular pub but if I did it would be this one. The landlord and staff have created a proper community pub that not only caters to the needs of the regulars but also offers special events to those that may be living alone. Oh, and most importantly, the beers are first rate. Keep on doing what you're doing and I'll be in when I'm in town. Thanks George x

Just been here for Sunday lunch having called earlier to check what time food is served until.. we got there at five past one and told the bar man we would like 2 Sunday lunches to which he said oh it's a bit late we may of ran out!considering they serve from 12 til 2 which is ridiculous I told him we called earlier and wasn't advised to book. So after waiting 50 minutes a young lad slammed out meals down said 2 beef and walked off.. no enjoy your meal can i get you any drinks!! Well the meal was awful and by far the worst I've tasted I strongly suggest they invest in an electric knife as the beef was about 2 inches thick the potatoes bland and the veg a big mess with no taste the yorkshire was horrible and what I can only describe as being like glass texture it shattered when I put my fork in?? ... then the waiter came over took our plates never asked if the food was ok or if we wanted desert I'm not sure if they even do deserts tbh.. safe to say we won't be returning.

On visiting Northallerton for the first time came across this pub through the Camera guide. It was a dull wet day and on walking into the pub it was immediately apparent that this was a real community local. The decor was simple but fresh,warm and cosy. Nothing was too much trouble for the Landlord who let us try all three beers on offer before we chose what were perfectly kept from local breweries. The food offering was simple pub food and the prices amazing. Two pints a jacket potato and a lovely sand which and crisps all for £15! I also think a measur of a good pub are the loos. They did not disappoint. If ever in The area again will definitely pay another visit

Despite having been local for over 20 years have never visited till last week. What a treat,a nearly full pub on a Saturday afternoon with warmth and chat long missed from gastro-pubs. Landlords Terry & Nicola apparently cook a mean meal although on our visit it was a mega-buffet for a friends birthday,however, plans for a Sunday lunch on cards. Wish all town pubs could be like this.

Vile watered down cider, larger couldn't even be drunk. Grotty is pretty much the only word available here

Visited yesterday for the first time with a friend, lovely place to eat, Sunday lunch was very tasty & plentiful, I opted for the turkey which was an early Christmas dinner while my friend who is veggie had the same without the meat, great selection of fresh veg & the Yorkshire puds were good too, all in all a great meal in a welcoming establishment & we will return when in the area 😀

We tried The Oddfellows Arms for the first time today for a lunch time meal, Lovely meals, freshly cooked , a very friendly pub, we will be back.

This pub is just off the high street - really nice little pub - a must call in place if you are visiting Northallerton ( great town ). Decor and atmosphere is great - landlord ( Terry ) gentleman - and good craic. Serves food up until around 14.00hrs - nice pint of beer. Will I go back - I sure will.

Have some of the best prices in town and also has the best atmosphere in town for a weekend. Food is at a really good price during the week too if you fancy a quick bite to eat

I didn't have a meal this time, but the menu is substantial. The service is quick. The atmosphere is friendly, memories of the good old pub. I do like returning to The Oddies.

Esto es lo que yo llamaría un pub más tradicional. El énfasis está en disfrutar de su copa, disfrutar de una conversación, la compañía disfruta. Parece haber un núcleo de leales clientes habituales y gente preparada para caminar la distancia extra fuera de la calle...

Visited several times now and can't fault this pub. Everything a proper pub should be. Clean and welcoming as you walk in, great atmosphere, exceptionally warm and welcoming. The welcome is genuine and not "just for the sake of it". The pub is spotless - no sticky tables here! Last but not least the beer is great. Dog friendly and my Weimaraner loves the Guinness. 10/10.

Live other side of town to oddies , but well worth walking past nearly every other pub in town to get to , always busy , terry and his staff always friendly smiling and helpful. Beer always good a proper local ! Haven't tried food yet but hear it is very good! Keep up the good work, just what the town needed!

First time visiting this pub. Lovely decor having been recently refurbished, good choice of beers and cider along with some great bar snacks, I would definitely recommend the bags of poppadoms which come complete with mango chutney in the bag. Really friendly landlord. Could have merrily sat there all evening had I not had a train to catch. Will certainly visit again.

a recently refurbished pub done with taste and expertise and offering comfort and space with a lovely secluded outside area perfect for the quiet summer drink.There is also an upstairs room which I believe can be used for family get togethers or events.One can enjoy on going sport and comfortable seating but on my two visits the beer was awful and being low in choice obviously not very popular.Having been some weeks ago it seems to be lacking a good manager ,great potential.

Really enjoyed lovely homemade lasagne for lunch today. Thoroughly recommend it and if it's nice weather the beer garden is a great place to sit.

Moving to Northallerton soon, tried this pub today for the first time. A very warm welcome, great landlord, lovely decor, fantastic beer garden and a great buzz to the place. This will definitely be my watering hole when I move into the town. Thanks for a great first impression!

We are hoping to move to Northallerton and had been advised to try this pub as we are looking for a 'local'.We called in around 4pm and the bar was fairly busy. Both the landlord Terry and his wife were very friendly and chatty. They are hoping to provide meals in the near future.Very pleasant to sit and have a drink.We will definitely go back.

This little pub is tucked away and is the starting point of my and a lot of my friends hobbies of drinking beer.It was a nice hiding place too while the maths teacher would be calling out your name at the grammer school, those were the days.Always a good meet point for long unseen friends.Love the place, it's an old fellas pub just like the name but your always welcome who ever you are. There are a few dab hands at dominoes though. Grate pub away from the young comb overs that congregate 8n the pubs on the high street

Visited with new friends we made on the day we arrived at Northallerton, on their recommendation we went from quite lively pubs on the main street to this quiet pub across from the main car park. It was peaceful but friendly and made a nice change for a quiet drink.

While in North Yorkshire for the Tour de France, we happened into this charming pub on Saturday evening and what a surprising treat. It is freshly refurbished to a high standard throughout the bar area, with a lovely garden area in back, a pool room upstairs and a separate function room. There is entertainment on the first Saturday of the month when we were lucky enough to be there and we thoroughly enjoyed Dave Ward. It is a very warm and friendly place, not just the bar staff but the locals there were just as welcoming. We understand they will be serving food in the near future; I judge an establishment's kitchen by their restrooms and the Oddfellows' are spotless! All new and fresh. I look forward to Sunday lunch the next time through Northallerton,
