The best restaurants serving British food in South West Holderness East Riding of Yorkshire Yorkshire and The Humber

I was not looking forward to my lockdown birthday so you can imagine how excited I was to receive an Afternoon Tea from my daughter. The platter was brought to my door by Mrs M herself. It was beautifully presented and even had a Happy Birthday sticker on it. The food was delicious, I can honestly say that every mouthful was sublime. Highly recommended! It really made me feel special.

The hand pulled beers we had were spot on and very friendly service.

Well what can say, the Christmas Lunch was worth every penny, outstanding service and food, the entire experience was fantastic as always. When they host an event from Sunday Carvery to Valentines dinner nights and Christmas parties they smash it out of the park..well done Alison, Mark and the rest of the Haven arms staff..100%

Congratulations are in order, officially the worst Sunday dinner we’ve ever had. Clearly a powder mix gravy and the veg on offer was ‘leeks with a dash of cabbage’, the highlight though was the steak pie, soft to the touch shortcrust pastry and what can only be described as steak mush inside it, very bland indeed. No one finished their meal.

Visited recently with family, there was 8 of us so reasonable size group. We were notified when being seated there could be up to half an hour wait on food, no problem. Starts came out pretty quick and party all enjoyed the food. We then waited approximately 50 minutes for the mains, this isn't too bad but for the whole time the dishes from our starters remained on the table and were still there when the mains arrived. We had to clear the plates ourselves to make room for the mains, which for the most part were lukewarm and dry. A few of the party ordered desserts, again when these arrived the starter and main dishes were still on our table. Food was what you would expect for the prices although would of been better if it had not sat for so long. Could of gone lower then 4 stars but like to give benefit of the doubt that this wasn't the usual.
