The food is first class and staff are extremely pleasant and very friendly. Definitely recommend this cafe for a wonderful lunch or just coffee cake and a friendly chat

Amazing breakfast freshly cooked until 12 everyday, good selection of teas and coffee. I’ve also had the pizza made to order. A selection of cakes to choose from, with a selection of ice creams too. Lovely in the summertime as they have a few benches outside too

A genuine local community pub. Great service, friendly cosy atmosphere. Only drawback is, no cask ales; but despite the name that seems to be the norm with Craft Union pubs.

We visited The Tavern for an evening meal for a large group. The staff were amazing with such a big order and were very friendly and accommodating. They were very dog friendly and had some really good gluten free options (steak pie to name one which was delicious). Due to the large table and our food taking a bit longer than the average order, (understandably with a table of 15) we were given Prosecco on the house for the group to celebrate a members birthday which was an extra special touch that was much appreciated. A great atmosphere and we highly recommend!

Went for lunch yesterday with family excellent service bar staff and waitress brilliant food excellent great value for money

Paid nearly £20 to feed 4 which sounded like a good price until the portion sizes showed up.large chips got less than a small compared to the old owners.battered sausages where nice only thing that was decent.paid extra for a large curry sauce came in the smallest pot.Oredered a fish cake that was clearly frozen Birds Eye overpriced for what it is and just isn’t nice.Ordered a chicken and a mushroom pie aswell it was rubbery and tastes like it was microwaved. With the small chip portion you think they would atleast taste good we asked for salt n vinegar there wasn’t any on. Half the chips were overcooked and some undercooked and borderline raw. Delivery driver was lovely had my hopes up shame the food didn’t live up to expectation.
