Amazing breakfast freshly cooked until 12 everyday, good selection of teas and coffee. I’ve also had the pizza made to order. A selection of cakes to choose from, with a selection of ice creams too. Lovely in the summertime as they have a few benches outside too

Lovely cafe, very reasonably priced, friendly staff. its only small so it can get very busy with mums and toddlers, but people are willing to share tables. The home made soup is delicious

Visited this cafe for the first time since it's been taken over. We didn't go inside but I have seen photos and it looks lovely, new highchairs and spacious. We ordered some lunch to eat on the benches outside. Staff we friendly. Food was nice but well priced too. Only negative I would say was the polystyrene boxes the food came in to take away, could be more eco friendly but I'm being picky cos I was impressed and will be going again.

Our walking group again celebrated Christmas with a lunch here, lovely food, a well dressed table, altogether a great occasion. Thank you very much.

Called with the walking group on my birthday. The staff presented my very excellent pie and peas with a candle in the top of the pie, and the cafe sang happy birthday. Great little cafe serving all the usual goodies, one of our favourite venues.

Where do I start?. our walking group booked our celebratory lunch here. Every thing from the greeting to the table dressing to the mulled wine, starters, mains, sides, mince pies, crackers, tea and coffee, glasses provided for drinks. Beautiful cooked food. Looking already to next year. Thank you to all.

Ordered food for my son & I, along with friends. His order came wrong & they’d charged us for extra chips, which we didn’t order. They didn’t offer to give the money back until after we’d finished & went up to ask for it. The food was average, wouldn’t rush back.

Visited on a busy sunny bank holiday weekend, spent a lovely afternoon in the park with family. The icing on the cake though was the cafe despite being extremely busy the service from the lovely friendly staff was second to none nothing was too much trouble. I would definitely recommend the homemade chips and cake I had the lemon cake it was gorgeous. This cafe is a little gem in a beautiful location.

Called yesterday for the first time with a group of seven walkers. Bacon sarnies seem to be favourites, good too, with plenty of filling, good range of inexpensive lunches and snacks.

We have been a couple of times now as it's part of our route on a bike ride. It has a good bike stand and pump as an added bonus. Nice clean traditional park cafe, good selection of food and drinks. Ice cream kiosk a bonus.

Visted here during the Elsecar by the Sea event on the 3Rd September. Not been in the cafe since the refurbishment and boy what a beautiful change has taken place. It is so unrecognisable from what was there before. It has gone from a small two tabled cafe to one with wide range of seating options, a small area dealing with the golf/crazy golf sales and a lovely sales and ordering counter offering a wide range of products for sale. I ordered a bacon sandwich which although took ages to arrive over 20 mins when it did it was a very tasty sandwich. The menu board also showed that they were offering Sunday lunches which I felt were a fantastic option especially for those on their own who perhaps can't be bothered with having a full sunday dinner the price was so reasonable it is an option really worth considering. A lovely morning walk around the green flag park and then let the staff at the tea cup cook your dinner. Can't wait to visit again

When walking round Elsecar park, a nice place to call for a sandwich, cake or just a nice cup of tea. Gets very busy when weather good, and very popular when school has turned out. Plenty of outside seating

Fantastic place to stop for a coffee, home made cakes and buns are great. Ask for the chocolate and orange if available. Home made chips available on wholemeal baps and highly recommended.

On Sunday 27th October we had my mothers 100th birthday family party. There was 25 of us for Sunday lunch, the meals were wonderful enjoyed by everyone of us. Everything was hot and with loads of vegetables served in side dishes. Lauren and her staff were excellent and nothing was too much trouble. Not only dealing with our party they were serving other customers too. Well done we definitely recommend the Travellers Inn and will be returning soon.

At this establishment we found that the quality of the chips were very poor small and not as good as frozen ones they must be using a small cutter our using a different supplier

We really.like going here and have never been disappointed at either breakfast or lunch. Good food at a good price. Generally 2 mains and 2 meals are around £12 - £16. Sometimes better to book but we never do. Enjoy!!

Came with our 6 year old. Lovely meal. The children's menu, although not many options, was good quality and large portions. The tapas were also very good quality and good sized portions (maybe 2 each is probably enough, or 3 if really hungry). The staff were very friendly and attentive. Good atmosphere in the resteraunt. Will definitely come back.

We’ve for bottomless brunch for 1.5 hours, had to go to the bar ourselves for every drink we’ve ordered since. After finishing a bottomless brunch at 3pm, we were told to be quiet after 5:30pm after buying 2 bottles of Prosecco and cocktails and shots after our brunch finished. Then were told by the manager to be quiet, after spending over £300 a between us, we. Felt very welcome, we could have gone other local places that welcomed us, or gone to a larger place in Barnsley, did not expect to be kicked out after 3 hours, won’t be going again, absolutely shocking. Worst bottomless brunch ever, staff was great, and we left a tip until the manager came out, Shocking.
