The food is first class and staff are extremely pleasant and very friendly. Definitely recommend this cafe for a wonderful lunch or just coffee cake and a friendly chat

Please try this place. You won’t be disappointed. I have now visited both here and their one in Wombwell and couldn’t fault a thing. Had the afternoon tea for one and the cheese and ham toastie. Both exceptionally delicious and the staff are lovely. (There cakes are too).

This is a hidden Gem. We were recommended this tea room for a christening buffet. It’s a good job I went to pay in person as I ended up having lunch to take out and of course a cake. The carrot cake is gorgeous. I had a Yorkshire pudding wrap and that was one of the best ones I’ve ever had. So friendly too. I can’t wait for our buffet. We went to a christening at the weekend and they had English Rose as their caterer and the buffet was lush.

A real find. Four of us had lunch here & it was delicious - three really hearty, tasty ploughmans, & I had an omelette which was perfectly cooked. Very good cake, too. Decor is lovely & bright, with a beautifully presented room upstairs for larger parties, although the manager told us that it could be used for small groups too. Pleasant, welcoming staff & very reasonable prices.

Visited the cafe , Very good coffee, lovely and strong. Enjoyed our food too, tea cakes and a bacon sandwich, all very nice. The lady in charge was very friendly. A good experience will return. Plenty of antiques to look at spread over many rooms, good to gave a good look around..

Very welcoming tea room. Greeted as soon as we walked into the room. Very tidy and clean. A great choice of food. Lovely hot coffee. Two rooms upstairs, if needed. It's the first time we have been, but we will be back.

Excellent food and would definitely visit again. We ordered 2 kids cod bites meal deal and adults fish and chips and they were very tasty and freshly made to order. My fussy eater said her cod bites were that tasty she wants to eat them for breakfast, dinner and tea!

Have visited Keelings a couple of times since recently moving to the Kingstone area. Very good quality fish and chips, done properly. The batter is crispy and light, and fish is cooked fresh upon entry. Portion sizes are generous and for £7 you really can't go wrong for value. Owner and staff are really friendly and seem like genuine nice people. Thanks guys!

We have visited this restaurant many times over the past 20 years and have always had impeccable service and exceptional food in a beautiful setting. It was always a special treat for us and highly regarded by friends and family. I am aware of the recent change of ownership. Things have certainly changed here and not for the better. No table cloths, paper napkins, slate mats, mediocre to poor service, orders taken on iPad. Food was ok but not what it once was. Lots of chips in buckets. I won’t go into the minutia of the meal but overall disappointed. Very sad.
