Please try this place. You won’t be disappointed. I have now visited both here and their one in Wombwell and couldn’t fault a thing. Had the afternoon tea for one and the cheese and ham toastie. Both exceptionally delicious and the staff are lovely. (There cakes are too).

This is a hidden Gem. We were recommended this tea room for a christening buffet. It’s a good job I went to pay in person as I ended up having lunch to take out and of course a cake. The carrot cake is gorgeous. I had a Yorkshire pudding wrap and that was one of the best ones I’ve ever had. So friendly too. I can’t wait for our buffet. We went to a christening at the weekend and they had English Rose as their caterer and the buffet was lush.

A real find. Four of us had lunch here & it was delicious - three really hearty, tasty ploughmans, & I had an omelette which was perfectly cooked. Very good cake, too. Decor is lovely & bright, with a beautifully presented room upstairs for larger parties, although the manager told us that it could be used for small groups too. Pleasant, welcoming staff & very reasonable prices.

Stopped for lunch, excellent food and service. Close to the wall and plenty of good walking from the village.

Great little bar, staff are all nice talkative friendly folks, and some great beers on tap. There's a couple guitars on the wall for anyone who can play to entertain others, though could do with a restring.

Popped in after a long walk with my dog on the off chance they were still doing food. The Landlord said that the carvery had finished , but he could plate something up for me. Well , the plate that came out did not disappoint! A proper beef Sunday lunch was had with a wealth of veg. As my dog had settled in , I stopped for a couple more beers and friendly chat with some locals. A pub full of character and a nice feel about it. I would recommend a visit to try it out. I think it's only open Fri , Sat , Sun at present so do check timings. Set in a lovely village with great walks around it. Pubs like this should be supported. Cheers to that!
