The best restaurants serving British food in Darton West Barnsley Yorkshire and The Humber

A lovely little tea room, it’s set very close to the village train station, very nicely decorated it sets the mood for a very a good dining experience, the hosts make you feel like you’ve known them for years, well worth a visit the foods delicious and reasonably priced.

It was just alright.. I had katsu chicken curry which didn’t really taste of much, missus had pad Thai which was nice but nothing special. Not bad food but probably wouldn’t revisit. Pricing isn’t bad, food ready on time and served hot.

Good atmosphere, friendly staff, delicious food and fair prices. Will definitely be back

Just had the best Mother’s Day meal at the royal, visited a few times now and as always the food was amazing, staff equally as amazing friendly and very helpful nothing too much trouble, looking forward to our next visit

Great pub. Fabulous pie! Just called in for tea. Well worth the visit.

Honestly a much better environment than it was last year, the new bar staff are very professional and pleasant unlike previous staff, the food has improved greatly.

Went for Sunday carvery and I’m not usually a big carvery fan but this was lovely. There was 3 types of meat turkey beef and gammon. I had turkey and beef. Nice choice of vegetables stuffing and Yorkshire puddings which unlike toby carvery you could have more one and could go back for more of them and the vegetables. The gravy was lovely meat gravy. One of our party had food from the other menu and had surf and turf which he said was lovely and the chips were homemade chips not frozen ones. All 4 of us really enjoyed our meals. Staff were lovely and friendly too
