A lovely little tea room, it’s set very close to the village train station, very nicely decorated it sets the mood for a very a good dining experience, the hosts make you feel like you’ve known them for years, well worth a visit the foods delicious and reasonably priced.

Owners greeted us warmly on arrival, the place these days is clean, gone are the ‘sticky’ days, it’s kept immaculate, with more seating, with outside eating areas which are well maintained. The extensive breakfast and lunch menus are on display. We were a table of three, ordering two small breakfasts one with black pudding and an egg and bacon bap - and we were not disappointed. The bread rolls are fresh and light (not sweet of dry as some can be) and the breakfasts were full of good component ingredients. We will definitely come back and try out the gyros. I hope they get a coffee machine in one day to make it simply perfect for a Sunday morning , but if you want great priced good quality cooked food you can’t go wrong and you’ll be well looked after. We will be back. Thank you!

Ordered a take away from here tonight it’s our first time trying and will definitely be back everything has been amazing the taste of the food and the portion sizes for the price are definitely worth every penny

Great chippy with a gluten free option

Not been to the Royal for a few years but tonight we have had the best night ever with the quality of the food, the selection and the amazing customer care of the staff. We chose loads of tapas to share between the four of us and each and every one of them were so so delicious and delightful. The staff were so friendly and accommodating but also very switched on to what we all wanted A guy played guitar and sang near the end and he was exceptional Our main thought was why aren’t there more people here. Beautiful food, exceptional customer care and outstanding atmosphere We are definitely going back here soon and would recommend this place to everyone

Had takeaways from here many times, all good food, the tikka massala and keema rice are great, its our favourite curry place to go to, tried others and this is the best

It was just alright.. I had katsu chicken curry which didn’t really taste of much, missus had pad Thai which was nice but nothing special. Not bad food but probably wouldn’t revisit. Pricing isn’t bad, food ready on time and served hot.

We visited for the first time last week, the food was really nice. Upon leaving we asked about gluten free in the hope to return at a later date with our son. Our server didn't know so asked someone else. This other member of staff informed us that your gluten free still has some gluten in it. Not sure how it can be gluten free? We then told them we wouldn't risk it as our son has coeliac disease. The staff looked at each other and said 'what's the difference isn't it the same thing'. The lack of knowledge was shocking, you would think food allergy information would be a crucial part in any training that your staff recieve. Needless to say we won't be returning with out son and advise anyone who is gluten free to take caution if chosing to eat here.

This is our favourite local Indian restaurant. We love the atmosphere & food & find there to be a nice variety on the menu to choose from. The restaurant is clean & modern with good service from the professional and friendly waiters.

Tried Jumbo for the first time tonight and it will be the first of many. Delicious food and lovely warm service.

Only went in for a drink, was given complimentary patatas bravas which were out of this world. What an absolutely surprise in this day and age to get offered something for nothing was very touching, but has won our hearts, we will definitely we back. Lovely food, food decor, lovely atmosphere and very friendly and helpful staff. A credit to Barnsley
