The best restaurants serving British food in St Matthew's Walsall West Midlands

An excellent restaurant! The prices are very reasonable and the choices from the menu are amazing, they have gluten free, vegetarian and vegan options, so there is definitely something for everyone. We had the four courses and thought the food was perfect. There's lots of choice for drinks too, non-alcoholic, wines, beers, spirits and cocktails. The restaurant has a very friendly and warm atmosphere, so this is a great place for a date, meal with a friend or to celebrate a birthday or anniversary.

This lady is rude with no customer service skills. She got my order completely wrong, ruining the surprise I had planned for a partners birthday. I messaged her asking what happened with the order and she didn’t reply for days. I messaged her again telling her I’d leave a bad review if she didn’t respond with a reason why the order was wrong, and why she has continued to blank me when asked about the order. She then called me being very rude down the phone saying all the things that were right with the order, but saying nothing about getting anything wrong. She just took my money and ran with it! giving me something I didn’t ask for. No offer of a remake, or a refund or even some of the money sent back. Unbelievable. Go elsewhere for your cakes, avoid this woman.

Great food and would recommend this place to everyone and anyone. Kids adults the lot of them. Food is so nice

We came over from Australia as a family group of 14. We had another 16 people join us for dinner on 2 occasions and it was fantastic! The staff were friendly, professional and the food was enjoyed by everyone. Thank you to Mike , Dave and Ash and Liam D, Pav and Jamie. We will definitely be back. There is no way this can called a hotel. Run down, staff do their job [that's it], climbing up stiras ti rooms - carpet is dirty, old and needs replacing. Ok - you get what you pay for - even still you paying for 'just a place to stop' here. Yet - for similar cost - Ther Barons Court hotel just down the road is at the other side of the Spectrum.

Food very good, and most important always hot, well done 😀😀😀

I am discusted at what Greggs has become - A corportae greedy giant - Greggs used to be place where you could get a decent lunch at a fair price a tasty bite hot and nutricous - not anymore - its a rip off store!!!!! Greggs you should be ashamed!

I had the task of organising a celebratory birthday meal for 24 people and chose the Lakeview Restaurant at Calderfields Golf and Country Club. We attended Friday 19 April. The staff, Liam and Chris were wonderful, they were professional and polite to everyone and they did a great job of looking after us all, nothing was too much trouble. Also compliments to the Chef and the kitchen staff, the food was amazing and served hot, people who ordered steak said it was cooked to their liking, a great effort from everyone getting food out on time to 24 of us, well done everyone concerned you are a great asset to the club. Everybody had a great evening and we all said we would definitely go again and have a Sunday carvery in the near future
