The best restaurants serving British food in Wilton and Lower Wylye Valley Wiltshire South West

A splendid light lunch: both the two ciabattas were exceptionally good (roast beef and bacon Brie and cranberry) served with a crispy fresh salad along with a pot of perfectly cooked chips - super tasty! I tried the real ale brewed in nearby Downton and it was really very good. Lovely atmosphere and great staff make for pleasant visit. When the bill came there were some jelly beans with it - what a treat 🎉 Parking isn’t the easiest but we were lucky and got a spot right by the front door..

Popped in as we were driving past with friends. Had a lovely lunch with some fantastic home made quiches and lovely variety of fresh salads and roasted vegetables. Service was excellent and prompt. The farm shop attached had a wonderful selection of cakes, meats and cheeses. We just had to buy!

Well it was a last minutes stop and so glad we did the hospitality was so welcoming and food was by fare way above your standered pub grub it was amazing will definitely be visiting Agen thank you very much hats off to you guys best pub food I have ever had amazing 💯 5* from me and my partner

We popped in this cafe during our 80 mile walk for some much needed hot food . The staff were fantastic, especially the waitress who couldn’t help us enough

Awful place, service was terrible, and the food was cold, out of tin, tables uncleared and had been there for a long time. Other visitors left after not eating their food. Drinks given in Dirty glasses. Service very very slow and they all looked stoned and very unhelpful

I can’t say anything other than - exceptional service all round from the staff in the pub. We’d previously eaten there twice (food was excellent) before we enquired about going there after our wedding in December 2024 Dave the landlord was very friendly, professional and accommodating. He was happy for us to have our wedding reception in the pub. He was very helpful throughout the planning of our reception. Was even happy for us to decorate the tables. There were about 40 of us and around 25 of us eating. Food was gorgeous, everyone pretty much ate around the same time. Big shout out to the chef!!! Lots of extra Prosecco was ordered in for us - which was handy as it was all bought 🥂. We were lucky enough to have Dave do the pub quiz that night too. Great fun, even if we couldn’t hear all the questions as the mic was a tad quiet. We booked all 5 available rooms that evening. If I’m being honest, I found the rooms rather disappointing. Very dated and underwhelming. Definitely in need a good sprucing up. Can’t fault the staff, the food or the service we all received. We were all warmly welcomed into the pub. Big shout out to Dave. Top chap!
