Lovely little hotel, the bed was very comfy. We stayed in the family room. Cot was provided and a double pull out sofa bed for other child. We checked in after a long day at Longleat safari and it was so nice to enter a room that was comftable, clean and felt homely. Lovely little finishing touches like chocolates on the bed and mini fridge with waters and orange juice. Breakfast was so much better than what I was expecting. Would love to stay again, really recommend

Went for a luch time treat with my grandparents on Saturday and wanted a proper dinner. I went for fish, chips and peas. They were the best chips ever and the fish was really nice as I have recently discovered that I like fish. Because I ate all (which never happens) I was allowed an ice cream sundae šŸØ to follow. Love Frankie age 6.

We booked a table as we were visiting the area and were recommended for Sunday lunch. Unfortunately the food took about 45 minutes to come out if not more and when you have been waiting I think you will always be a bit underwhelmed. The chips on the dishes that had them were very salty but given how long we waited we didn't complain which we probably should have as 4 of us all thought the same. Roast was very nice and childrens food was fine apart from the chips got left. The toilets be warned are very cold and I am not sure they have baby changer or disabled facilities. It was a busy Sunday so maybe this was reason for the slow food but there was no indication for this when we arrived and we had booked so they were expecting us.

Itā€™s rare I have a roast dinner when Iā€™m out for Sunday lunch. Too often they disappoint and Iā€™m left wondering what makes my mums or wifeā€™s so much better. No here though. Iā€™ve been twice, and between us my wife and I have tried four different meats. All have been full of flavour, tender and generously portioned. Great spuds, massive yorkshires and rich, tasty gravy too. Proper comfort food, Iā€™d challenge anyone to leave unsatiated. The pub itself is cosy and unpretentious and run very efficiently by a polite, friendly and welcoming team of staff. Having ticked off the beef, pork belly, chicken and venison weā€™ll be back soon to get the lamb and nut roast and collect the set!

New Years Eve, the Pub was lively, we all enjoyer our meals. I had Gremolata mixed vegetables under my Slow Cooked Venison. First time I have heard of this and they were very nice, Draught beer was good which is important.

Booked in advance for overnight stopover in our motorhome and to have an evening meal in the pub. Such a welcoming and friendly place! The food was absolutely delicious.
