Lovely, quirky, quality cafe in the heart of Marlborough. Superb light lunches, with a good range of drinks, cakes and tasty snacks; we all had superb sandwiches and deilcious drinks, and the rustic charm and atmosphere of the building makes it a fine place to eat and chill with friends.

We stayed for three very pleasant nights and dined twice. An attentive manager supported by his young but professional resturant staff enhanced an excellent experience. Obviously with its good resturant grading we expected good food. We got it - A very good chef resides here. We tried fish & chips the first night - absolutely lovely. The second dinner we went for nibbles to start followed by Cod chowder dishes with new potatoes, amazing special fries & fresh peas with asparo. Very good portions were served and all were perfectly cooked. The french wine we chose was equally good. Next time we visit the area we will stay & dine here.

I took an elderly client this morning! We were met by a delightful gentleman who helped assist my client down a step. Lovely helpful staff. Gorgeous food and the best coffee. We will definitely be going again very soon.

After watching you be on four in a bed your attitude and negativity spoiled yourselves.

As always we had an excellent meal here. The menu is always changing so we know we can have something different each time. I had langoustine soup this time which was delicious

My wife and I called in for lunch last weekend. The weather was lovely, the staff behind the bar were friendly, the flowers in the beer garden were nice, but unfortunately the food and the wait let it down. My wife opted for Fish and Chips and I opted for their Chicken Kiev. The fish with wife's meal was nicely battered (not too thickly) with nice chunky chips. Then it goes downhill from thereon. Her peas, which were supposed to be mushy, were a dried inedible blob on one side of her plate. However, the issue really came with my meal. To take two dried / breaded chicken pieces, lay a few thin slivers of cheese (presumably cheddar) on top and then place it in a pool of garlic butter with a ramekin of herby chips does not in my opinion a Chicken Kiev make.

Lovely pub but……don’t ask for a cocktail, we ordered a pornstar martini which consisted of passionfruit J2O and vodka poured straight into a martini glass with a glass of Prosecco on the side and they charged us £10 for it.

Top food, top garden, absolutely can’t rave about this place enough! Dog friendly, great garden and menu and such a focus on real ales.

First visit after this lovely pub has reopened, first impressions are good, nice ambience & decor, definite improvement after reopening, that’s the positive, £8 for a pint plus half for a 4.5% local Ale!! That’s a huge increase! Suffice to say that was the only one & no intention of returning to pay that! Step across the road & the same percentage equally nice Ale is £4.75 a pint! In this day & age every penny counts & £5:30 a pint makes this one if not the most expensive pub in town. I’ve given 2 for the decor as it’s really nice inside but sadly won’t be retuning with those prices!
